A word from La Coquille
While honoring the great traditions that La Coquille was built on, we are in the midst of taking things to another level!

Now, and moving forward, our guests will enjoy two great concepts. On one side, we are dishing up a provocative selection of modern European cuisine… On the other, a bar and lounge… serving an eclectic mix of Tapas, and the finest cocktails anywhere.

Combined, we offer something for everyone. Whether it’s a stylish dinner for two, or a casual gathering of friends… we know what you like!

Diner Reviews
  • "We arrived and were seated right away. It took awhile before a waiter approached us and we did not receive a menu. The waiter them asked if we wanted drinks and we still did not receive a menu. Then after getting our drinks, it took awhile until the waiter came over, read the specials to us then after that we we're given menus. It's kind of difficult to remember 8 specials and then go throng the menu. The place was noisy and they cooked parts of some meals in the dining are table side. The problem is that when they burned the pan the room got smokey! The desert cart was out in the dining room with whipped cream and mousse in a bowl over melted ice. Not temperature safe at all. I would not return to this restaurant. "

  • "The decor should be updated as it is a bit dreary. Service is reminiscent of more formal dining venues dating back several decades; our servers were highly attentive albeit a bit formal. Overall the food was solid. I should add that the cuisine is not truly french and has more of a continental/italian feel. I was a bit disappointed that the sides highlighted on the menu were not presented with the entrees ordered. Indeed all of our entrees were served with the same side dishes. No one complained about the quality of the food although there were no raves either. Recommended dishes include the onion soup, dover sole, mousse and fruit tart."

  • "Having been here many times and typically for an enjoyable meal, this last time was slightly disappointing. A fish special, Arctic Char was over cooked and dry. Will try restaurant again because of previous good experiences."

  • "noise level very high. this detracted from the dining experience."

  • "From the moment we were greeted by the very kind Maitre D,' we were impressed. We were seated at a window table, delighted in the beautiful coffered ceiling and elaborate chandeliers. We savored our martinis served to us in frosted glasses, gallantly poured by our waiter. There were several fish specials which is great for the meat abstainers. We were not rushed and enjoyed the fun energy surrounding us. There is a contemporary bar when you enter which might be a fun place to hang out! We will be dining there again for sure!"

  • "We went to La Coquille with our 28 year old daughter on Valentine's eve. We had a nice dinner, although my husband does not like fixed menus as they often do not offer a big selection of items to choose from. We have dined here many times before and don't remember being charged $24. for a double shot of vodka in the past. I guess it was a little confusing because we were also charged for 2 drinks we did not have. (This was rectified) My daughter also remembered the veal being better on prior visits to the restaurant. The dinner was nice but we have had better at La Coquille."

  • "Food was down right terrible. Four of us dining and not ONE decent meals. I was embarrassed to have invited friends out to dine there. The baked clam appetizer was the worst thing I have ever put in my mouth. What a disappointment!"

  • "The food is always great, the only problem is that the wait staff can be inattentive . I would love the chance to give them 5 stars, but they need to work on the service."

  • "Decent food, not particularly worthy of the price. Pretty basic meal that I could have replicated at home which is not what I would expect for the price. The service was borderline rude and inattentive. There are so many great restaurants in the area that this one is worth a skip"

  • "This is a restaurant in search of an identity. While it offers a few French classics, its menu is in too many places indistinguishable for the dozens of northern Italian places in the area. While we had a good meal, what was offered is available a lot closer to home."

  • "We discovered La Coquille a few weeks ago. We've been there twice and as good as I remembered the first time it was even better the second! Took friends who are real foodies and they can't wait to go back..."

  • "As I said the food and service were great but the dining area is large square room with little privacy. Although you are probably as close to the next table as in any restaurant the lack of soft surfaces make your neighbors conversation seem a lot closer. This would prevent me from going there if I wanted a romantic or intimate date."

  • "Heard the food was terrific so gave it a try....started with the lump crabmeat cocktail that was combined with a pickled cucumber dressing. Said to the table, I'm coming back just to have this again. Then they served the entree. I ordered the traditional roast duck in orange sauce. Not sure how they did it but it was crispy outside and moist and delicious inside....definitely a must!"

  • "My mother, dad & sister dine here often. The restaurant was almost empty. I dined with my handicapped mother. She has parkinson's & uses a walker. When we walked in, the Maitre'd came over, showed us our table by pointing & rushed to help another customer. No helping my mother, or pulling out our chairs. We were eventually given menus, but had to ask 2x for water. The Maitre'd finally came over & ran through the specials too quickly and ran away again before asking if we had questions. When he came to take our order, he seemed annoyed to have to repeat the specials. My Mom speaks softly because of her disease. Instead of trying to listen to her, I gave her order. He practically ignored her as if she was a child or stupid. She is neither."
