La Chaya BistroExcellent Food, Unique Food PairingMy husband and I made a reservation for brunch for Mother's Day. We were not disappointed. We shared an amazing eggs benedict dish with avocado and salsa verde. The flavors were wonderful as was the house made scone. Its a lovely little neighborhood gem with lots of windows and a bright airy feel throughout the small establishment. The service was efficient and relatively fast. If you're interested in mimosa's or fresh squeezed orange juice - they are a bit expensive ($8 Mimosa, $4 OJ) but the meal and pastries are very reasonably priced at $12-$13 and $3. They also had a lovely, albeit small, outdoor patio right off the parking lot. We plan to return for dinner sometime to experience more unique fresh ingredient combinations!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved La Chaya! We had a very pleasant dinner with four other friends. Everyone praised their food. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere very attractive and relaxing. This was our third visit, and have been please every time - On another occasion, the brunch was also excellent.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent foodOur favorite Sunday lunch/brunch bistro. Try a Salmon omelet or a scone.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMCute and Quiet!Great food, friendly service, fabulous atmosphere that is perfect for the neighborhood. I can't wait to use their patio this summer!5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful experienceMy wife and I felt like we were eating food prepared by a five star restaurant chef. Everything looked great and was mouth wateringly DELICIOUS. The amount of food for the price was very fair. Service was excellent as was the outdoor seating.(The inside looks very nice as well.) Highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMI have eaten at La Chaya inI have eaten at La Chaya in the past - this time when we visited for lunch, I found the menu a little limited - the three of us ordered tacos and the presentation was excellent and we were all very satisfied - I just wish there was some offering of "lunch" specials on the menu other than the "soup" - I am very happy with our experience and will frequent La Chaya again.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful dinner, a real treatWonderful dinner, a real treat and had an enjoyable evening with friends for my birthday, was still talking about it the next day!4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMI love the ambience, it wasI love the ambience, it was quiet and cozy. A good place to take someone and have a good conversation while enjoying good food. I had the soup of the day which was roasted poblano. The heat seemed to have been removed completely and all I could taste was the bitterness feature of the poblano. For the entree, I had the Pan Seared Scallops with Chipotle Cream Sauce served with Cilantro Pesto Mashed Potatoes. Flavors were really good and the sear on the scallops was just right to add a little texture. I also tried a sip of my friend's Michelada drink. It was a glass half filled with some infused spices which reminds me of curry and mexican peppers mixed in with a bottle of Corona. It was bold and spicy-a must try!4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMexcellent service, sea bassexcellent service, sea bass was perfectly prepared with great presentation. This is one of the top restaurants I have experienced, highly recommended.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMBAsed on sthe erver's description,BAsed on sthe erver's description, two of our party ordered the pasta special which was bow-tie seafood, and two of our party ordered pasta off the menu. The corn fritters, as a recommended appetizer, were terrific, as was the spicy soup and the salad. The special pasta was very disappointing, as the pasta was overcooked and the dish was lukewarm. Obviously, as the special, the pasta had been made in a large quantity, and not to order. The seafood was lost in the mushiness. And this occurred at 7:30. This is unacceptable for an $18 pasta dish. By contrast, the made to order pasta dishes were al dente and delicious.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous little neighborhood spotThe food at La Chaya Bistro was FABULOUS! We started with the brushetta, which was a huge portion and excellent variety. The special of the night, Cuban hash, was out of this world. Very flavorful and just the right amount of spice. The chef came out and spoke to us. Very good service. We will definitely be back for more!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMMy friend and I really enjoyedMy friend and I really enjoyed our recent lunch here. We were pretty much the only people there, but I hope that is just because it is Spring Break season and many people are occupied with other things to do or out of town. The food was very good and the service of course, was very attentive since they only really had to worry about our table at the time. The location is easy to find and great to have their own parking lot which is very convenient. The food was well prepared and unique. We had the special tacos carnitas, the beet salad , the grilled veges which were varied and well prepared. We started with the lightly breaded shrimp and squid with a spicy sauce that was excellent.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMCreative and delicious!Interesting and creative restaurant! Our food was prepared perfectly, and our server was one of the best I have had in a long time! Highly recommended4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThe restaurant's name is somewhatThe restaurant's name is somewhat misleading, not really mexican food, but it was excellent and I would definately go back! The service was friendly and perfectly paced.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMA cozy place with wonderfulA cozy place with wonderful help staff.
