We love food and try to hit the hot spots frequently. I put this restaurant right in there with the imaginative menu and great ingredients. I had the scallops - beautiful and fully enjoyed appetizers of fried plantains and mahimahi empanadas. We will return!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AM14th AnniversaryWhat a fantastic dinner! The guacamole...wow! The food is inventive, delicious and perfectly cooked and served. The fish dishes are especially wonderful.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMAppetizers and dinner wereAppetizers and dinner were outstanding! Dessert was not ideal, I wish we didn't order it because we left on a bad note.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMLater to Latkes-Hello Sea Bass!La Chaya has a comfortable yet romantic setting perfect for considerate dining experience with a group of friends or when looking to entertain on a date. Understated simplistic elegance in its warm and inviting interior matched by a beautiful brick paved entry. Such a gem. My dining companion had eaten here on a few occasions prior to this evening, she gushed about previous meals and the accessibility of the chef and the ambiance. Fantastic atmosphere and beautifully presented food. Highly recommend.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for large groupsThe effectiveness of the service, and food quality are amazing! Charles took very good care of our group of 8 loud ladies. We couldn't have had anyone more attentive and kind.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Food, Unique Food PairingMy husband and I made a reservation for brunch for Mother's Day. We were not disappointed. We shared an amazing eggs benedict dish with avocado and salsa verde. The flavors were wonderful as was the house made scone. Its a lovely little neighborhood gem with lots of windows and a bright airy feel throughout the small establishment. The service was efficient and relatively fast. If you're interested in mimosa's or fresh squeezed orange juice - they are a bit expensive ($8 Mimosa, $4 OJ) but the meal and pastries are very reasonably priced at $12-$13 and $3. They also had a lovely, albeit small, outdoor patio right off the parking lot. We plan to return for dinner sometime to experience more unique fresh ingredient combinations!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved La Chaya! We had a very pleasant dinner with four other friends. Everyone praised their food. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere very attractive and relaxing. This was our third visit, and have been please every time - On another occasion, the brunch was also excellent.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent foodOur favorite Sunday lunch/brunch bistro. Everything looked great and was mouth wateringly DELICIOUS. The amount of food for the price was very fair. Service was excellent as was the outdoor seating.(The inside looks very nice as well.) Highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful dinner, a real treatWonderful dinner, a real treat and had an enjoyable evening with friends for my birthday, was still talking about it the next day!4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMI love the ambience, it wasI love the ambience, it was quiet and cozy. A good place to take someone and have a good conversation while enjoying good food. I had the soup of the day which was roasted poblano. The heat seemed to have been removed completely and all I could taste was the bitterness feature of the poblano. For the entree, I had the Pan Seared Scallops with Chipotle Cream Sauce served with Cilantro Pesto Mashed Potatoes. Flavors were really good and the sear on the scallops was just right to add a little texture. I also tried a sip of my friend's Michelada drink. It was a glass half filled with some infused spices which reminds me of curry and mexican peppers mixed in with a bottle of Corona. It was bold and spicy-a must try!4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMexcellent service, sea bassexcellent service, sea bass was perfectly prepared with great presentation. This is one of the top restaurants I have experienced, highly recommended.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous little neighborhood spotThe food at La Chaya Bistro was FABULOUS! We started with the brushetta, which was a huge portion and excellent variety. The special of the night, Cuban hash, was out of this world. Very flavorful and just the right amount of spice. The chef came out and spoke to us. Very good service. We will definitely be back for more!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMMy friend and I really enjoyedMy friend and I really enjoyed our recent lunch here. We were pretty much the only people there, but I hope that is just because it is Spring Break season and many people are occupied with other things to do or out of town. The food was very good and the service of course, was very attentive since they only really had to worry about our table at the time. The location is easy to find and great to have their own parking lot which is very convenient. The food was well prepared and unique. We had the special tacos carnitas, the beet salad , the grilled veges which were varied and well prepared. We started with the lightly breaded shrimp and squid with a spicy sauce that was excellent.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMCreative and delicious!Interesting and creative restaurant! Our food was prepared perfectly, and our server was one of the best I have had in a long time!
