A word from ' La Cerveceria
' La Cerveceria introduces Latin American tapas with sharp Peruvian influences and a concentration on American craft beers and new world wine from the realms of small and landmark producers. ' La Cerveceria celebrates a host of lime-influenced, cilantro-specked dishes. Crafted from the freshest ingredients available including organic and locally harvested finds, the restaurant builds upon the complex, classic flavors of Latin America, including marinated meats, seafood spice, hot habaneros dressed in flavorful sauces and subtle ceviches traditionally found south of the equator. With spice that has top toques raving, it goes down well with ' La Cerveceria’s standout list of New World suds. Our downtown New York City location, designed with natural woods, a marble bar, and a bright open kitchen that adds further warmth and provides the ideal setting for this new concept. Like the cuisine itself, ' La Cerveceria dining experience is updated, clean and high energy. Continued

  • "Nice looking place, the menu sounds fun, the drinks list is good, but three out of four dishes we shared were very average. Heavy, monotone. Not enough heat or light."

  • "The food is soooooooo good! Everything we got was delish - but the fried goat cheese and the brussel sprouts were out of this world. Looking forward to going back! And great music!!"

  • "This place is like a hidden gem! Went here for a friends birthday dinner and he loved it! Service is great! Food is delicious! Great for trying various things! They have the best white sangria I have ever had! Make reservations because it does get packed half an hour into dinner the place was full!"

  • "Overall experience was great. Tapas style menu so very fun to share plates with a group. The Chilean empanadas was the standout dish to us. The only dish below par was the lobstor guacamole. The guacamole was very cold as if it had been just thawed. The lobster was very good however. Staff were super friendly and accomodating. Great place to try different beers as well."

  • "Fun and good food, but it was so loud we couldn't hear descriptions of food items, we had to wait a very long time for food and we we're told that they lost our order and dessert would be on the house. We ended up ordering dessert and we were still charged for it.....not cool!"

  • "We love the tapas style of eating and after reading the reviews and making a quick stop by to check out their menu we booked up and went for dinner. We looked at the menu for about 5 seconds before deciding this was the place for us - The menu and especially the beer menu really is so extensive and you will argue over which dishes to try as they all sound so, so good. Staff are friendly and attentive enough, the bar tender was really nice and let us try few wine before buying which was nice."

  • "I set up a dinner for my girlfriend's birthday with 10 of her close friends (reservation was for 12 in all) on a Wednesday night. People filtered in shortly after 8 pm, the high square take was ready for us and we were showed to our seats. Antonio, the owner, came over to personally direct the wait staff and give menu recommendations. The drinks flowed (great wine and beer selection by the way) and the food was timed perfectly. The tapas style appetizers and entrees were very tasty and added to the good social atmosphere of the meal. Everyone really enjoyed themselves. Finally, the restaurant has a great ambiance and felt perfect for a fun, yet intimate/romantic evening for the group. I will go back there."

  • "Impressive craft beer List !!! Beers from all over the world. This place is sexy and well managed , we noticed a high quality of customer service and attention for details. The food is excellent , very tasty!"

  • "I was disappointed to find that my party of 4 was relegated to a cramped and very uncomfortable table despite the fact that I had made a reservation a week earlier. My complaint to the manager was unfulfilled although they nicely explained the siutation. Waiter service was spotty all night. The food comes fast once you order so be prepared. Based on earlier reviews I expected the food to be better than it was. The Lobster guac was ok, really jusr ordinary guac with a few pieces of lobster meat on top. Fish tacos were good as was the meat skewers. To management's credit, they comped two deserts because of our difficulties. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again."

  • "Best thing about this place is the ambiance, spectacular beer list (+100 american beers, +45 international selections etc...), great great staff. Food is delicious, though you do leave not completely full given small portions...highly recommend for a light dinner + good drinking night"

  • "I was here for a birthday dinner on a Saturday night. Not only were 15 people taken care of wonderfully, but the food came out quickly, and everything was DELICIOUS. Each dish was jam-packed with flavor, the service was attentive, and everyone had a great time. The drink menu is pretty impressive as well."

  • "We found la Cerveceria through opentable diner's choice award winner for best tapas and decided to celebrated my birthday there last night. While having all my loved ones with me was the best part of the evening, the food and service was superb. We ordered so many dishes but our favorites was the fish tacos, skirt steak and salmon. The beer and wine list was very impressive and the decor was so cute."

  • "Interesting Peruvian style tapas bar. If you are into beers and IPAs, this is a place for you. No liquor license though. The food was uneven. Try the fried Yucas and the Caucas. Skip the fish tacos and the veggie quesadilla. Good desserts: three in all. On the pricey side too."

  • "Food was good. Had Living Social Deal for $50 worth of food and drink. My bf and I each had 3 beers and shared two tapas. The fish tacos and nachos w mushrooms. We sat at the bar, even though we had a reservation, the tables were super close and the place was super loud and packed. Granted it was Friday night"

  • "The food was excellent, superb even, but we were a party of 8 and couldn't hear ourselves talk one bit. We had a very early reservation at 6pm and an hour later we were screaming at each other just to be heard. Sadly, we won't be returning."

  • "I visit this restaurant for a special occasion with my girlfriend and we had a great time. The service was very nice from the beginning and supportive with questions of all kinds. Plus they have a big beer menu which is really nice. The food was really tasty and came within the right amount of time. Overall we had a great time and will come back again."

  • "I was with a group of 5 and we dined here jan 2. There was a snow storm that night so the restaurant was empty but we could imagine normally it would be a great atmosphere. The food here is fantastic. We ordered quite a few things on the menu and we weren't disappointed on any. A huge selection of beer also helped this to be a great time. I would definetly recommend this restaurant."

  • "Went with a group of friends and had a great time. Service was a little slow, but nothing too bad. Didn't have a bad dish. And the beer list was awesome, any place with Dogfish Head has my vote!"

  • "Let me start with this: there's a mural of beers here. This place lives up to its name. So many types, my boyfriend and I enjoyed the lambic blueberry and banana bread. The tapas were delicious. I highly recommend the tuna tartare. Price was a little high, even though I had a ls deal, but everything has tons of flavor. Great if you want to impress a date."

  • "Went there with a large party, and they could not have been more helpful. From the reservation person, manager, and waiter, all went out of their way to make us feel welcome and take care of every detail. Food was great, and the tapas menu made for a very fun, intimate, 'together' feeling. Something for everyone; Veggie (fried goat cheese, quesadilla), meat (short ribs, skirt stake, sliders), and everything in between. The restaurant ambience is lovely and we had a great meal and fantastic time. Beer list is real impressive! Highly, highly recommend!"

  • "And as tapas goes I don't think it gets much better than this place. Great ambiance, cozy setting. Amazing sangria pitcher! Tapas to die for, especially the yucca fries, steak skewers and causas. As far as service goes the staff was do sweet. Their beer list is probably the biggest and best list in New York!"

  • "My husband made reservation last minute at the restaurant without realizing it is a beer bar with set menu for the night with open bar. Trouble is we do not drink. The restaurant owner after learning our situation graciously allowed us to choose from an a la carte menu without having to pay for the set menu. The menu choice was good and the service was great. We love the food and service. We would highly recommend the restaurant for all occasions!"
