  • "Everytime I go, I get the Pork Osso Buco. The most tender pork anywhere. Wait person was attentive and very personable. Pedro's Old Sidecar is a great cocktail! Flight of Gran Marnier was an outstanding finish to a fantastic dining experience."

  • "I was a fan of this restaurant when it was in a small little nook in Watertown! Now it is a large beautiful booming restaurant with live salsa music and an incredible ambiance. This restaurant is a very special place to my husband and I. Having two small children we hadn't been able to make it out for a few years. Saturday we decided to arrange a sitter and we were so so so excited for our special date night out here. We brought another couple with us and had a wonderful time. The food is even better than I had remembered it being. The ambiance amazing. My husband and I were so happy. My husband is Colombian and he adores the food, the drinks and especially the live music :) It just makes for a perfect setting. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"

  • "Have loved this place since first going several years ago. Great half chicken dish, so flavorful with great value. Tried the shrimp Ceviche served with banana chips which was also memorable."

  • "The vibe was great - energetic and busy - and there was live music and dancing by the bar. Service was good - our waiter was attentive - but the food was SUCH a disappointment. The fried yuca were bland and seemed like they had been sitting under a heatlamp awhile. My fish tacos were decent but not anything special, the yellow rice was flavorless. My boyfriend's meal was beef stewed in minced vegetables served with rice and beans - the meat tasted like a bland pot roast and the rice and beans tasted like a canned variety. The margaritas were at least decent. There are much better Spanish or Mexican restaurants in the area that are less flashy but serve up much better meals."

  • "In one of the old Arsenal buildings, this is a great Venezuelan restaurant. Friday & Saturday night's are great with a live band. Food is fabulous. Try the short ribs, they melt in your mouth!"

  • "This is the place to go if you want high quality Latin American based food, consistently cooked and beautifully presented. Not fast food tacos thrown together in the kitchen! Reasonable prices. You'll be full but try the flan anyway."

  • "The food was sensational. Loved the choices. I am planning to make another trio soon. Liked the gact that we were not rushed into ordering and rushed into leaving."

  • "We have been here many times. Service is usually exemplary but our last visit fell very short. "Specials" on the menu were unavailable because of the "Sunday Brunch". We found this disappointing. Two named beers were also unavailable...so, substitutions were secured but not w/o checking first to see if they were available. Bloody Mary was almost too hot to drink. Food was good and as described on menu. Plenty of it as well. Enough food for take-home. Bathrooms were clean. Atmosphere with live plants gives great ambiance. If it had not been for my last visit, PEDRO'S would have been a perfect dining spot;however, with these last shortcomings, PEDRO'S has lost some of its reasons for us trekking there."

  • "Went with a party of 10 to celebrate my daughters 21st bday. Cocktails are great especially mojitos, margaritas and bitter end. Everyone enjoyed the meal. Have been here many times and it is always fun and the food is delicious. Had the fish tacos for the first time and they were fabulous. The cheese and pastry appetizers are not to be missed, The wait staff sang a nice happy birthday as well."

  • "Food is amazing and the cocktails make it even better. Live music on weekends and a patio in the summer. I'm there at least once a month!!"

  • "Always a delicious meal at Pedro's. The service is always great and the food done very well. All meals come with the best trio of sides -- fried yucca, maduros (sweet plaintains), and rice and beans. I could live on those sides alone. Outstanding seafood dishes. Great tapas. I always go for the seafood but my husband and friends often get steak and rave about it. Superb list of rum and tequila. The bar is typically jammed on Friday and Saturday nights. The salsa music is the best. Authentic salsa and a place to dance. As it gets warmer, they have the best patio for outdoor dining. Highly recommend! PS: Three nights in Caracas is my favorite meal. Whole fried haddock. Absolutely delicious."

  • "We picked the restaurant by looking up the closest place on opentable. The place itself has a cool eclectic vibe going on. We ordered a salad and an entree for lunch to share between two people and found the prices a bit high for the portion sizes provided. The food was good, we both liked it but just felt that the price/value proposition was just a tad off. Service was great, staff were very friendly and quick."

  • "We had dinner Sun night 5pm with toddler and infant. I asked for high chair and room for carseat stroller as we had each time we celebrated the birth of our two sons here. This visit, they denied stroller and host said in the past 9 years he has owned the restaurant, they have never allowed it. If policy changed, I would understand, but I was flat out told I was wrong. After ordering tapas, the waiter said we should've sat at the bar (with two babies?). Then, we ordered seafood ceviche, and shrimp ceviche came instead, again blamed for not saying the correct Spanish name. I regret celebrating my special occasions here. Unbelievably, the owner looked mad to get my stroller and did not say bye."

  • "I was disappointed in this restaurant. The atmosphere was nice. However, the food was not very good. I was served enough food for 3 people, and it was rather mediocre. The chicken torillas were dry. The service was poor. They took a long time to bring our food. First, they brought our entrees and forgot our soup and salad. The waiter apologized and said that this happened because the restaurant was busy. They should be able to handle a busy restaurant. He was gracious and offered a free dessert. We declined the dessert, so he offered free coffee. I will not be going to this restaurant again."

  • "The lighting is so dim that it was hard to read the menues. Had to pull out cell phones with lights. Also, very noisy. (Can you tell that we are middle-aged?). Food was plentiful. Very limited dessert menu. Restaurant is very convenient to the New Rep Theatre - make reservations if it is a theatre night."

  • "Nice variety of well prepared food. Staff is attentive and friendly. We had a couple of the tapas. The arepas with fresh chicken and avocado was good. The crispy beef empanada was excellent as the tasty beef was housed in a crisp, thin shell. The main courses were also well prepared. The pork osso buco was succulent and tender. The Shrimp Kristofer was plump and tender while the Trout Galarraga was flaky and flavorful. The sides of rice & beans, fried yuca and sweet plantains was also flavorful and came off lighter than one might expect. A couple of us enjoyed the added zest of their spicy green sauce. All in all, a very nice evening."

  • "The food was prepared perfectly and with such a huge choice of foods, you are never sure if that will happen. The drinks arrived quickly and our flan was very delicious We look forward to returning for the good food and location as we enjoy the theater nearby."

  • "Anytime I have new friends visiting, or need a place to go on a special occasion, I go here. The food is always excellent and the service is better than any other place in Boston. It isn't open late, so try to get there on the early side- and definitely get reservations if its a Friday or Saturday. Its great to have a go-to place to show friends that isn't in the city and has free parking."

  • "Good was great, the service was a little slow but overall an enjoyable dinner. I did get kicked in the head by the climbing toddler behind me, certainly not the reataurant's fault."

  • "The tables were too close for private conversation, but that was made up for by the warm atmosphere, live salsa band, very friendly service, a view of the clean kitchen, and the meal. Cocktails were well made (but a real purple maraschino cherry in my Johnny Walker Manhattan would have been better than the candied red impostor). An appetizer of beef/cheese arepa was a treat (maybe the beef could have used more seasoning), and the fried sweet plantains were terrific (there were more with the main courses --- all the better!). El Gaucho (charcoal grilled skirt steak with chimichurri) and the Pierna de Baby (pork osso bucco) were wonderful. We shared a coconut flan for dessert, and it was so good that we ordered one more to take home!"

  • "My family and I dine here 2-3 times a month. We love the food, atmosphere, and the staff. My 7 yo daughter asked to go to Pedro's all the time. The taquinos and nachos are fantastic. Myself or others in my party have had every dish on the menu. I have never had a bad experience here. This is my go to place to bring friends or relatives visiting from out of town. Skip driving into Boston and head over to Pedro's!"

  • "Our family of 3 adults and 2 teen-agers had only praise for our dining experience prior to attending a play at the New Rep. The only problem was the lighting. It was impossible to read the menu!"

  • "I had one dish so my opinion is limited. I chose a salad with dark lettuce, jicama and grilled chicken. It was excellent, more than I could eat and as a meal, very modestly priced. I'm not very fond of Latin America's ubiquitous rice and beans which I saw others had as part of t heir dish. I thought the margarita was strong and not as tasty as I like. This is THE convenient place to dine when attending the NewRep, and the parking is free."

  • "The wait staff is very understanding when theatregoers mention the time they must depart. Server recommended specials that would be served quickly. One of us had the pabellon criollo, a favorite of the house, the other the special Xmas-time dish (tamal by another name) that comes with salad, yuca, and ripe plantains. Good typical Venezuelan dishes! Service outstanding, cheerful ambiente in the room, off to the theatre in time."
