La BriciolaBest restaurant in town!La Briciola never ceases to prove to me why it is the most romantic, most authentic, most attentive and perfect Italian resturaunt. The food is amazing and everything from the bread to the pasta is made fresh from scratch. The waiter makes the experience over the top with his witty comments, timely attentiveness, and attention to detail. Often the resturaunt isn't very crowded which belies how wonderful it actually is and actually makes it more romantic and special, with a good chance being that if you come for late lunch or early dinner it's often resturaunt to yourself which is great, but watch out for coming during busy hours as it may be packed with business professionals and romantic couples for whom it's perfect for!!6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat find near AT&T BallparkExcellent restaurant. Knowledgeable and friendly waiter. I look forward to visiting again when I return to San Francisco.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThere was barely anyone there. There was barely anyone there. Just us and I think one other table. But the food never fails to fill me quite happily. I keep coming back for the different dishes. It's solid!5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMPleasant SurpriseBooked the reservation on open table based on a combination of proximity and favorable yelp reviews. Location leaves a bit to be desired but the experience more than makes up for it. Between the four of us we sampled two of the raviolis, the salmon and the steak. The empty plates and satisfied smiles showed all were appreciated. Desserts worthy of praise. Great service and attention to detail made this a memorable experience, so much so that the kids wanted to stop by on our way out of town to say hi again to the staff! Clean simple menu with a choice for anyone. Prices commensurate with the quality. Will definitely do it again when next in town.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMA culinary delight!!Everything was amazingly good.
The bread was warm and so good I could have that for dinner and been happy!! and the olive oil for dipping, OMG as good as it gets.
Had salads to start, both extremely fresh and delicious, I had the aragula and my friend the mixed greens
Main course: linguine with clams for my friend, he said best ever, and I had the roasted Halibut with tomato sauce and olives! OMG, it was beyond delicious, I wanted to lick the plate!! but thought that would be frowned upon!
Desert also very good, and we orderd a bottle of italian Chianti that was excellent.
the service was professional, efficient, friendly and just about perfect.
All together a stellar dning experience, I was so happy! and will absolutely go back.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMI forgot to bring the address,I forgot to bring the address, but knew the cross street, we drove by several times, the front of Bricola just blends in with everything along the block. Once we parked, just steps from their door, and went inside, everything changed. It is nicely decorated and very comfortable, we were treated with special care, the wait staff was attentive, and the food was very good. I will go back with other friends, it will be easy now that I know just where the are.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA hidden ballpark gem.Delicious!!! Excellent service, excellent food. A new hidden gem for dinner before a ball game.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMOur new favorite restaurantAfter just two visits, La Briciola ranks as our new favorite. A 10-15 minute walk from AT&T Park, it's a great place for a meal before Giants games, but surely worth a visit at any time. A broad selection of excellent Italian food and generous wine list, but what really sets it apart is the staff, who are warm, welcoming people you just like being around. Both times we've been there, we could tell that many of our fellow diners were repeat visitors if not regulars, which tells you just about all you need to know about La Briciola.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMA Delightful SurpriseWe were searching for a restaurant close by to a small theatre on Bryant. When I search Open Table, La Briciola was one of the choices. Lady luck helped us out. This is a wonderful restaurant which may go unnoticed if you were driving by. Every dish we tried from the soup to the main courses were exceptional. We are grateful to Giovanni whose recommendations were spot on. No only was the food exceptional but the service was top notch as well.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWe love La Briciola. The salad'sWe love La Briciola. The salad's are fresh and bright. The grilled squid appetizer wasvery delicious. I especially like anything in their seafood section, from the grilled mixed plate to the seafood lasagna. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and he helped us pick a nice bottle of wine. We went with six people to celebrate my sister-in-laws Birthday. Everyone enjoyed their food.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMLa Briciola is definitelyLa Briciola is definitely a neighborhood gem, and we are so glad it's in OUR neighborhood. The staff is welcoming, war, and attentive. The menu offers wonderfully varied choices and the food is fresh and well prepared. The noise level is conducive to good conversation. No doubt we'll be back.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWent to Briciola with a fewWent to Briciola with a few friends. It's a little bit hard to access from the heart of the city, but it's an easy cab ride. Great appetizer bread and a notable wine list! Liked the atmosphere. I had the gnocchi, and even though it tasted good, the dough was a bit undercooked and tasted gooey. My friend had some assorted seafood dish that he really liked. I'd say the average entree was $20, so overall not that bad. Overall, it was a good experience and I will be going back.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFriendly neighborhood ItalianInteresting Northern Italian dominated dishes, cucina paisan in all its glory. Wine list has well chosen and well priced Italian gems. The staff are all welcoming, friendly and genuine, all Italian which helps. Great value for money and sometimes you can find discount deals which make it insanely good value. Location is an off beat part of SOMA on edge of South Beach, convenient for Giants.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing Italian Hidden GemWe went to La Briciola for our 15th anniversary. We'd asked for prosecco to be on ice, and it was....the waiter (Gian Andrea) took a personal touch a giant step further. He was so attentive and informative about the Italian origins of the wines and food. After dinner, we were treated to dessert wine for two.
I have to compliment the food as well. I loved the rack of lamb. The prosecco was Villa Sandi, also highly recommended.
I can't wait to go again!4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMLa Briciola is a wonderfulLa Briciola is a wonderful northern Italian restaurant. We were a party of four and made reservations the same day for an early meal on a Saturday without difficulty. We arrived at 6:15 and were promptly seated. The waiters were terrific. Maybe because they were not busy. We ordered the cheese plate and the charcuterie for appetizers. Both were excellent. For entrees we had risotto, grilled seafood, warm seafood salad (an appetizer), and the orrechiette. All were great. The only drawback was that the grilled seafood included prawns that were a little dry and mealy. The salmon, squid, whitefish were great. Dessert included strawberries with gelato and vin santo, which could have been colder. Overall, excellent experience.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMI expected the squid ink risottoI expected the squid ink risotto to be a bit more buttery, but I absolutely LOVED the Panna Cotta! It's just how I remember it to be from when I first tried it in Paris. This is how it should be! I'm definitely going back for this =)3/8/2013 12:00:00 AM
