  • "We arrived for 5p reservations and the gate to enter was locked. They finally opened a side door to allow us to enter. The hostess seemed thoroughly confused about where to place us and was in a rush so she said she would return to seat us momentarily. We were then seated and the server saw us for 10 minutes before greeting us and getting water. he was polite and all and we ordered queso, it was awful. Room temperature, not hot at all and the taste was quite disgusting. The entrees were subpar and the waiter was apologetic about the queso and took it off our tab. We did order dessert, Churro's, and they were the best part of the meal."

  • "La Brasa is set in the vintage Kamps building and has a hipster reno (renovated) feel. The evening I was there, they had live music nicely blending in with the ambience. The menu is uniquely Peruvian - no burger and fries. The Pollo a la Brasa is exquisite and plenty to share. Each appetizer and side is prepared carefully. The churros and French press are fantastic finish to the meal. The restaurant is a little too loud for a romantic evening, but La Brasa is a hot spot to dine for foodies and a great night out for most any occasion."

  • "We went for our anniversary and I wanted to love this place, but didn't. We had a 7:30 reservation but weren't seated until 7:50. The real deal breaker for me, and I feel like an old lady here, was the noise level. They had a dj playing music that was so loud we had to yell to be heard. Even our waitress mentioned the noise level. I ordered the pollo a la brasa, which was flavorful but had to be carved on the board on which it's served with the juices running everywhere (no lip on the serving piece). It was like eating crab legs where you work like hell for little yield. I love that this place is trying to offer something different but I don't know they're doing it well enough to give it another try."

  • "The food is very good-excellent fusion flavors. The Pollo La Brasa is delicious as is the Tuna Ceviche. The portions are huge and the prices are moderate. The atmosphere is dark and sort of Bohemian, but they are trying hard and doing a good job. The service was very good-quick, efficient and just the right amount of attention. There are so many mediocre restaurants in OKC that charge more and give less-give this one a try. You won't be disappointed."

We all had separate dishes and each dish held their own distinct flavors. It didn't follow the trends of other new restaurants with what's trending, but held their own. The service was great and overall enjoyed our experience. GO and try."

  • "As a fan of ethnic food, I try to hit a lot of places. It seems many folks get wrapped up in authenticity arguments: is this REALLY what the food of X locale tastes like? For me, I'm much more concerned about the food tasting great (even at the cost of authenticity). Since La Brasa is my first Peruvian restaurant and I've never been to Peru, I can't comment on the authenticity debate. I can say, thought, that this restaurant turns out damned fine plates. When my very particular SO comments that the ceviche was "so good I wanted to cry", that's high praise indeed. Now, there were some points where La Brasa could improve. Service was a little spotty (they were busy), and the noise level gets pretty high. Still, it's a welcome addition to OKC."

Started with panko-crusted tuna croquettes stuffed with bacon-chipotle-cilantro ranch - there were only two, but my gosh, I could have eaten a dozen of those in a hurry. I had the Tacu Tacu, which was well-portioned and flavorful. Tried the Texas Mule and the national drink of Peru - both compliment the food and are perfect for cooling down on a warm summer night."

  • "We were looking for a new food adventure and we were pleased to find La Brasa. We recommend the Rotissure chicken and roasted asparagus! The chicken was tender and had a magical flavor. Yummy! Also recommend the Chaufa a la Brasa combination. It is a wonderful rice mixture with veggies, chicken, steak and shrimp. The seasoning was delicious!! We ran into some friends that had the Sea Bass ... Very tasty!! Our waiter was very helpful and friendly. We plan to go back soon and try something else on the menu."

They had a large crowd seated together of young women about 16 total that might have been unexpected. Food was good. Restrooms not very clean. Service slow. If you have plenty of time it is OK."

  • "We had a reservation for six at 6:00 p.m. on a Sat. night and were seated immediately (at a table with 3 chairs on one side and a long bench on the other--not terrible but not optimal). Ordering took a while, mostly because we took time to explore and discuss all the wonderful menu options. The guacamole and queso appetizers were great. (Chip serving was not generous but quickly replenished on request.) We tried a variety of entrees--Seafood Paella, Pollo a La Brasa, Ceviche Pescado, Butifarra--and everything was delicious. Churros and Creme Brûlée for dessert, plus one French Press was enough for 4 to have a cup each. We were done by 7:30, and the bill was less than $200 (before tip), incl. a nice bottle of wine, a margarita, 2 beers."

  • "I ordered the seafood ceviche, chicharrones de pollo and 1/2 grilled chicken. The chicharrones were really good with the sauces and platain chips. The ceviche was ok, had better. The grilled chicken was a big portion but it was very bland, it lack the real peruvian spices that i loved in this chicken."

  • "This was our first visit to La Brasa. We frequented the Inca Trail quite often simply because of the great food and service, however the ambience was somewhat lacking. La Brasa has a unique atmosphere, great service and simply wonderful food. And Neal as always does a fantastic job. We will be back and will recommend La Brasa to all our friends. Max Clark"

  • "Went on a Monday for the 2 entrees and a bottle of wine for $30 deal; which, I must say is an amazing deal. Although you do have to notify the waiter/waitress that that is the deal you are doing to get the deal. The sea bass and full chicken I believe are the only two entrees that are excluded from this deal. The food is very good. Definitely will be adding this place to my date night rotation."
