For normal people the prices are for special occasion, or big winners. I will be back for your blue lump crab cakes. You surprised me with those gems. Just as good as a place we use to go too around Baltimore MD.

Reserved for a birthday for my wife, a special night out. When we arrived the person crossing our name off the list said in a lame voice, "happy birthday". That was it! wow, what a special touch!! Most all food was lukewarm, sent my wife's steak back and it was better. This is after we discussed while ordering, how it will be prepared, she said "just a bit pink, but HOT". Cold lump crabmeat was the best thing we had. The bread was good too, but we always were served it with dipping oil before, had to ask for that. Overall, food and service was mediocre to good.

No record of our Open Table reservation because manager gets them on his phone and he wasn't there that Sunday evening, which happened to be our 51st wedding anniversary. Hostess kindly seated us anyway in a back room and ended up waiting on us herself. Things picked up from there, and the meals were very good and we received a free dessert for our anniversary. Wine list was somewhat disappointing in selection and pricing.

Located in the casino. Good service as well as knowledgeable staff. Setting wasn't spectacular for the cost of a meal. Don't ask for a booth as you may have to share with another group (awkward u-shaped booth) ask for a table. Food is alright for the prices. Known for their aged steaks.

We visited Erie for the weekend to celebrate our 49th wedding anniversary. We attended a show at the Erie Insurance Arena and later eat a late supper at La Bonne Vie Steakhouse (previously called Sensory 3) in the casino. The food and service was very good. The cost was moderately priced. The only criticism I have is that the location is inside the Casino. There was no outside entrance, at least none that I found.

La Bonn Vie Steakhouse is located within a casino. Be prepared to walk through a slots area that is smoker-friendly. It has been changed back to LBV from Sensory 3 and the physical changes are not yet completed. The fillet Oscar was a perfect medium rare. A bit less Dijon and a bit more tarragon in the Bernaise sauce would have made it outstanding. The creamed baby spinach is another story. Given the large clumps that came up while trying to share a serving, it may have been more mature spinach. Also, the cook had a very heavy hand with the minced garlic and the cream part was errrrr, not creamy. The chocolate desert and wine met all expectations. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. Overall very good and I'll be back.

Reverting back to the original, traditional steak house format, La Bonne Vie has not hit the target. Though they've restored the wood paneling look, and are using the TV monitors to show classic art pieces, the non-stop Frank Sinatra music, and average service & food fell well short of their former level. Our service was slow, both on orders from the bar and kitchen. Our food was average. I'll give the waiter credit for delivering our vegetable and immediately telling us he'd requested another order because the first was overcooked. The restaurant wasn't busy, so that's no explanation. The prices here are on par with steak houses in Chicago, but neither the environment, delivery nor food was worth the cost.

began at the bar, had to wait for a glass of wine as the bartendar had to go somewhere to get it, --bar not stocked and this was a saturday--there is no ambiance, very non-discript, paneled walls no art work the place has TV's all over the place with pictures that change every few minutes, they were bright colored scenes and were actually distracting and ugly--waiter was un-friendly and did not make us feel welcome at all, very monitone and brought no enthusiasm to our experience, made us feel like we were just a job to get over--ordered the top of the line 60 dollar aged steak, it was horrible, tough, rubbery, i have had aged steaks and this was not aged had pasta on the side over cooked-therrible experience, will not be back

Menu should indicate items that fell off the the Sensory 3 menu can still be available...... now there is no sweet potatoe....when I asked they said you must order when making reservations, but this was not noted on the reservation site or the menu which is posted online...I also inquired about the infused oil for dipping & it was kindly provided for my party, since I bragged about the greatness of this dipping oil were looking forward to this.....Thank you for that. My complaint at this time is that the server clears the "entire" table while we are still seated, rather awkward, almost like "your time is up, move on"....I understand clearing the dirty dishes but the water glasses and unused silverware & napkins....ugh!!

Sensory 3 at Presque Isle Downs and Casino recently reverted to La Bonne Vie Steakhouse, and a great place became even better. The noise level is down, the table arrangement more private, and the fabulous filets and cheese biscuits are still on the menu. I missed the baked sweet potato but was told that I could still have that previous offering by letting them know in advance. On this occasion, our waiter was absolutely superb. We look forward to returning soon.

We were pretty disappointed in the food. The streaks lacked flavor and any seasoning. It is a very expensive restaurant that we expected much more from. The service was good. The only restrooms are across the casino floor. We won't be back.

I've been to La Bonne Vie many times. The service is usually pretty good, and the environment is romantic and is great for a special night out. The food is usually very good most of the time. I've never had a bad meal, but there are times the food could be a little better. I know this will probably sound petty, but for example, on my last visit my baked potato and my date's potato were EXTREMELY crusty and hard on the outside. The potatoes were obviously old and should have been discarded. Again, this didn't wreck the meal and isn't some kind of major complaint. However, when I pay $100 for a dinner for two...I would expect ALL of the food to be AMAZING - not just really good. It seems like an old potato should have been caught.

First time dining here. To begin, the staff was very friendly, professional and helpful. We met the chef and he answered our questions and even sent an appetizer for us. The waitress was very helpful and nice. We were celebrating my wife's birthday. My wife had steak and I had sea bass. Both meals were outstanding. We also had a bottle of wine which was excellent. We look forward to returning for another great meal.

Our waiter, Terry, was incredible! My husband and I will be and request his section. The food was outstanding and the ambiance was great but it was unbelievably noisy. That took away from the atmosphere a bit. Hard to have a romantic dinner when you have to yell. But we will be back. Terry was the best.

This was not my first visit to Sensory. I brought 3 guests with me... Prior visits were always outstanding in all categories. This last visit was a poor showing other than for the service. The BLT salad had 1/2 pc of hard bacon; minimal dressing and soggy green tomatoes. The 8oz filet looked less than 8oz and was too heavily salted; it was, though, prepared as ordered; the garlic mashed potatoes were flat and pasty. Definitely not worth the value, irrespective of how much was "comp"...

first time at sensory 3. went for my birthday, i wanted lobster, and few places in erie serve lobster. The waiter was attentive and helpful. the kitchen seemed to be undersstaffed. we had a lovely lobster fondue for an appetizer. a little runny, but very tasty served with grapes, and assorted bread. My lobster tail came with crabstuffed ravioli and a side of spinach. The lobster tail was tasty but seemed tough, over cooked, the spinach was very salty, and the ravioli was over cooked. Hubby had the seafood fussilli, it was delicious, he enjoyed it. We share a dessert and it was on the house and very good. room was nice, but a little noisy. It was kind of pricy for the overall quality, but again it did seem the kitchen was understaffed.

The restaurant was beautiful! Walking in I was very impressed but as my experience went on it quickly changed. Service was mediocre. Waiter gave a thorough intro but then disappeared for long periods of time with out checking back on the table. Food was over priced for the quality and taste and the reservationist was continuously on her phone. Not professional. Rather dissapointed. The casino buffet ended up being 10xs better and a third of the price. Restaurant has lots of potential just not what I expected.
