We had an appetizer to share and each had an entree. We went to dicks burgers an hour later because we were both hungry. And we are not big people. Will be back, but probably just for drinks & dessert.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMLa Bete is an unusual place,La Bete is an unusual place, with a limited menu of interesting and varied tastes and a personal approach to choosing and serving food. The wine list isn't long, but is good, and the dishes--although there isn't a great variety--are creative and delicious. The decor is especially charming. This is a place we will go to often.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time to this restaurant.First time to this restaurant. The only negatives are the parking (very hard to find a spot) and slow service with our drinks at the beginning.
Otherwise, this is a great spot! Really lovely interior. Friendly and helpful wait staff. . Was packed with people at the bar and all tables full with folks waiting outside. The food was really delicious and innovative.
Loved the pork rinds and the charceuterie platter for starters. I had the clams which were done just right. My husband had the sausage which was wonderful. Our friends had the Painted Hills Beef and the Beet Salad which they loved. Had a bottle of Petit Verdot which was outstanding!
Would go again!
.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMHighly suggested to get aHighly suggested to get a reservation. Small place so parties of more than 4 are rare. Lots of people waiting to be seated and average meal-time seems to be about 2 hours. Could be more romantic if there was less noise...very very loud.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMEaster brunch was very good.Easter brunch was very good.
