  • "My husband and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary with a dinner at La Baguette. We've been coming here since it was takeout only before we were married. Our dinner was perfectly cooked and and the service was outstanding. We had the smoked salmon appetizer with trout for me and steak for my husband. I love the option to get a smaller size dinner and took advantage of that. I hope we can celebrate our 50th anniversary here as well!"

  • "I have dined here before. It has always been great. This was a time when they have muscle as a special. The waiter suggested french fries on the muscles. It didn't sound great but it was fantastic. I would suggest you try it. Food and service as always were terrific."

I had a sore back and didn't appreciate this at all. Will be back, of course, as we enjoy their food. Will sit with my back to the wall next time - where he can't reach!"

  • "The service was so slow, couldn't get enough set-ups or water. Took forever to get order taken, forever to get food. Waiter brought the wrong order to the table. We asked for extra capers for smoked salmon, and it didn't come until the salmon was almost gone. The home fries were seconds from being burned beyond edible. Wait staff was polite, but too slow. The prices would require that the food and service be outstanding...it definitely was not. "

  • "My husband and I wanted to try a new resteraunt so we picked LaBaguette through open table. They sat us at a table that obviously was not meant to be there. We felt like we were in the way the whole time. We were place next to a group that had small children, the wait staff had a hard time getting around us and we were in the path to the bathroom. It took forever to get our food, we barely saw our waitress and we were there way too long because of this. Don't get me wrong the food was great but that was the only thing great about it, and the deseart. I think you had to be a regular person there to get noticed. It seemed to be a spot for regular customers and not for people that wanted to try something new. Food was good. Outsider no"

  • "It is rare for everything to be so outstanding at any restaurant. Usually one or both of us has at least one course that is "ok". The Brie with fruit, honey and pecans was as good as it sounds. My husband had Stuffed Salmon and, although steak is rarely my first choice, I am delighted that I decided to try the Steak Portofino. We knew the dessert would be delicious, so took home part of the Brie and filet. Stephanie, was the best kind of server. Knowledgeable about both the food and the wine. She unobtrusively provided everything we needed before we asked. But when my husband struck up a conversation with her, she was also ready to go that direction and add fun to an outstanding meal."

  • "I sort of wonder if La Baguette hasn't seen some of its last days. We were there on a Friday and the restaurant was half full. After tasting the food and getting a look at wine prices (cheapest was $7 for house plonk; most was $12-$14 per glass), I'm not surprised. The best part of my meal was the gazpacho. Others at the table had salmon (evening special) and chicken confit and said that the food was good...though the confit came 20 minutes after the rest of the food was delivered because the waitress forgot to turn in the order. I don't think, however, that I will come again to the restaurant in the evening and I would not recommend it to any one. It's fine for brunch."

  • "We have been wanting to try this place for awhile. It was just great. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu, the bakery has amazing cakes and candies that you can just walk in and buy as well it's also where they get the desserts if you order one. Overall, just a great dining experience."

  • "The food, as always was delicious, the wine list was good and the waitstaff was excellent. It was a very busy Saturday night and we had a table for two in a high traffic area--which marred our visit a little. (We had made a reservation several days in advance). However, the solicitous nature of the waiter provided a distraction from the very busy foot traffic going past our table (which was right at the conflux of two dining areas. It was hard to have a private conversation.)"

  • "There was nothing totally bad, there are just enough great restaurants in the city to go to so that I NEVER have to go here again. Service was very poor and there was an attitude that would have been ok if the food had been even decent. Very limited menu of all the same old tired stuff. It had been 10 years since my last visit and now I know why.....and will never return. Good luck with your customer base....better start taking care of them because your days are numbered. SH"

Couple of minor glitches in our orders were fixed and the food was predictably delicious. All in all a very nice experience. Started enjoying this place with my father years ago, and it continues to be a really nice choice with selections to satisfy most every palate!"

  • "OK people love meat ... but they want it cooked ! Up to now, I had to prepare my beef tartare myself ... but not anymore ! Beside that starter, the rest was excellent : the country pate, the perfect bearnaise sauce (altough they could be a little more generous with the quantity, but the taste was excellent). We left the restaurant with a "chocolate bomb" for a party the next night and everybody loved it. Vive la baguette !!! We'll come back"
