L2 Grill - Fantasyland HotelAbsolutely wonderful experienceWe were pleasantly surprised by our experienced at the L2 Grill; not our usual type of dining place but the red seats and low-key atmosphere was appealing. The menu had more than enough options and we thoroughly enjoyed the orange sherbert between meals. Our waiter, Wallas was outstanding and we will request to sit in his section in the future.
The staff noted that we were celebrating our anniversary and went to extra lengths to take care of us; we loved the special attention.
There were kids there which is not a surprise considering it's location but I personally would never bring my own kids there. The staff were friendly and attentive, but the food was to die for! If you only try one thing, make sure it's the truffle mashed potatoes. The brunch services was explained and we were off. The food, ambience and service continued to be outstanding making our day also, outstanding. Thank you to the hotel and staff at L2. The highlight for me was definitely the prime rib. It melts in your mouth. It might have been the best prime rib I've ever had. There was also a nice demi-glace alongside, decent horseradish (it's never hot enough for me, but I grabbed a little wasabi from the sushi department), and nice light crispy Yorkshire puddings.
Everything else was good too. There were some great non-standard brunch items, like fresh baba ganoush and hummus.
The desserts were also really good, but the portions were a little too big! Smaller portions would have allowed me to try more of them! Delicious buffet with lots of choice from Prime Rib to fish to crab legs. Also enjoyed the healthy options. Don't miss the desserts - gorgeous chocolate creations and again, lots of choice.
