A word from Kyo Bar Japonais
KYO BAR JAPONAIS swings its doors open in Old Montreal this spring. The new Izakaya hones in on refined, Japanese comfort food, an impressive selection of Japanese spirits and great times with good company. While sake, shochu and beer are set to flow generously, Kyo Bar Japonais also aims to place significant emphasis on its menu of classic izakaya edibles and its creative sushi counter.

IZAKAYA A traditional Japanese tavern that literally translates to “stay sake shop.” Izakayas specialize in small plates and an extensive liquor selection. Service is laid back and never rushed. Customers are encouraged to wile the night away between sake, sochu and traditional dishes such as sushi, Kushi Yaki, ramen and several fried specialties.
