We were asked to sit at the bar and wait, which was no problem as we were early. However, others started arriving and they began to sit them. They totally forgot those of us that were waiting in the bar. Suggest you jot something down to remember you have guests that arrived earlier waiting. Great choices for any palate. Excellent service with energetic, knowledgeable waiter. The entire staff was friendly, efficient and seemed to enjoy their jobs.. Love going to this place, service is always fantastic and food does not disappoint. Enjoyed a variety of starters; octpus, tuna and zucchini fritters. Broad selection of fish is offered, ours was perfectly prepared. We shared a side of eggplant that was to die for. The Greek wines offered at Kyma are really very good. Sad that it's not easy to find Greek wines in local retail stores. We finished our meal with a trio of lovely desserts but I fell in love with the donut holes (Greek style), they were amazing! Best octopus I've ever had. The scallops were delectable, too. As were the squash chips (but try to finish them before they get cold). I would've liked a wider array of vegetable/salad offerings, but the tomato/cucumber salad is a Greek staple (judging from my trip to Greece), so I guess I can't complain. Kyma is fresh, modern Mediterranean cuisine, served up in a sophisticated Greek setting. The prix fixe menu was wonderful and extraordinarily generous in the appetizer portions. After warm pita & spreads were three appetizers from a generous list of choices. We had the cheese pies, sautéed shrimp with ouzo, tomato, feta, parsley and a beet salad. All won rave reviews from us. The entrees were all delicious. Plenty of choices of fresh fish, also jumbo prawns and filet mignon. And the practically perfect meal was brought to a conclusion with a dessert trio sampler. The flourless chocolate cake, baklava and greek donut were delicious. The menu and atmosphere is most definitely greek, but the seafood and meat selections are perfect for sharing and eating healthy. The interior was stunning, with its waterfall and constellation-lit ceiling, the service was wonderful, and the food was quite possibly the best I have ever had. I was pleasantly surprised by the small culinary gift from the chef, and the grape leaf dish and the Alaska Char were to die for. Even the bread and olive oil was delicious. Enjoy some of the spreads. We like the hummous and the eggplant. with walnuts with grilled pita bread. On Sunday nights you can order chops by the number. If you only want a little lamb chop after all those appetizers, they have priced them individually with a small serving of potatoes on the side. It is always a treat to dine at Kyma.
