  • "I am alway amazed when a waiter takes everyone's order without writing anything down. Amazed until he gets the order wrong. Everything else was good. Didn't make a big deal out of it. I understand that things happen. Friends were more upset than I was because they were done by the time my correct order came. Very expensive. They should have at least thrown in my desert for the error but they didn't."

  • "The restaurant is beautifully decorated but the cushion bench seating can be sligtlty uncomfortable. You can ask for a table with regular chairs. This is good Greek food but ridiculously expensive when you have MP Taverna down the road where the food is slightly better, the atmosphere is much less stuffy, and if you want to eat outside there's a beautiful rooftop as opposed to being next to the valet parking. For some reason we had two waiters and it was sometimes hard to get either ones attention. Overall it's a nice place with good food but I think it's overrated."

  • "Kyma is a great choice for a special meal or a fun dinner. The service was excellent-the ambience fresh and chic. The food hit the spot with unusual starters (get the tower of fried zucchini and eggplant to have with your drinks) and very tasty entrees. The salads are huge and delicious, can be shared by even three or four diners. The one misstep was well-done lamb chops when "medium rare" was requested. The diner should have sent them back but didn't want to make a fuss for the other diners. That was her mistake but the chops should have come to the table done to the diner's request on the first try. Valet parking is welcome in a town that it is often hard to find a space. I intend to return to this lovely place again and again."

  • "everything has salt pepper and oregano even salad...the biggest disappointment was octopus very thin slices, expected big thick grilled tentacles cut at my table like in astoria a little too foo foo expected more authentic pretty place, very nice server. Sangria tasted more like pure vodka not wine been there done that wouldnt go back sorry"

  • "The problem may be that this restaurant was so hyped up before we went there. It also might be that we have eaten a lot of Greek food in our time and were not impressed. Unfortunately I would have to go with the latter. Nothing special to note here other than the super fresh and tasty tomatoes in the Greek salad. Our grilled octopus was overdone and it appeared they misplaced half our fish (pink and red snappers), having cleaned and de-boned them before serving it to us. Even the traditional xorta were undercooked. Beautifully decorated, packed restaurant though with very good service. If there was any silver lining to the evening, they poured a good Johnny Black."

  • "This was my second time having dinner at Kyma and it was excellent. We had the Kyma chips (eggplant & zuccini) that was delcious and the branzino was superb. The atmosphere is wonderful and even inside you have the feeling of being outdoors = the ambience is airy and light. The staff from the hostesses to the servers were friendly, courteous and accommodating. The restaurant is beautiful, the food is excellent and the service is superb."

  • "We came here for our 6th wedding anniversary. We had a really nice time. left very full. We ordered 4 appetizers and 1 entree. Everything was delicious. I was slightly disappointed in the zucchini and eggplant chips. it is a very popular order, but ours came to the table a little cold. Fried food needs to be served hot. They should concentrate less on stacking the chips so perfectly. I will return though."

  • "Never disappointed at Kyma. The food is always fantastic. Grilled octopus, Greek salad and Kyma chips are some of my favorites . Baby lamb chop are tender and delicious . The fish dishes, especially the Bronzino are always fresh, light and consistently good. Ambience has a cool vibe. Interior has the look of a California restaurant. Service is always attentive and excellent. Martini's are always delicious. Have been to Kyma many times, whether dining as a couple, large group,family or eating at the bar, never been disappointed that's why I keep coming back. Must make reservations way in advance, hard to get a table."

  • "We were celebrating a birthday and prior to being seated outside we privately requested a special desert. Once seated we didn't receive menus for 15 minutes. Our appetizers were both incomplete and incorrect. The waiter took our order and was more interested in the cars being valet parked and we didn't see him again until he delivered our check. Our requested desert never came and after watching the servers bring incorrect or duplicate orders to several tables it is incomprehensible that anyone would return to dine at a this restaurant which is all style and no substance."

  • "Our party of ten had an 8p reservation, were all there by 8:05, and we weren't seated 8:30 (after having to ask, noticing the table had been empty the entire time). The bar wouldn't transfer our tab. Our waiter took drink orders only for 7 of us. At 9:05, we flagged a manager and asked about ordering. The waiters insisted that our appetizers were to be served family style - so we had to shuffle dishes, and stack our uncleared plates after we sorted it all out. We had to ask several times for water refills. Rather than comp some of the bill, they brought us dessert wine - which was barely consumed we were all driving home). The unconsumed wine on the table should have been a hint. We expected more for a $1,000 tab..."

  • "Consistently wonderful! Brought an out of town friend to celebrate his birthday and he was bowled over. Lamb shank fabulous; grouper (fish of the day) very tasty. Love the bronzino but wanted to try something different. No bones in this. Got potatoes instead of the regular side of swiss chard and loved them. Galactoboureko my new favorite. Found the baklava too dense and sweet. My go to restaurant!!!"

  • "It was my first experience with Kyma. Total disappointment. The food was ok although a little too oily. The style is very similar to Limani but Limani's food is better. Now, service, please!!! First, why do restaurants still find it acceptable to have male-only wait staffs? Service was generally unfriendly and horrendously slow. Took me three asks to get refill on tap water!!! Avoid!!"

  • "The food is outstanding. The cocktails are fabulous especially my favorite, The Sangria made with Greek brandy and passion fruit vodka. The branzino tastes as if it was just plucked from the Mediterranean and the meatballs absolutely incredible. My favorite restaurant. I highly recommend !!"
