I took a lovely woman there for a first date, and to say the least, I think the ambiance of kybecca helped us make an even stronger connection! From the fast service (was a Sat night, made reservations, but they were able to seat us right away), knowledgeable and energetic (read: enthusiastic in their profession) servers, and menu where everything looks and sounds delicious, it was a perfect evening out! Since we couldn't truly decide on what to select for our meals (all of it sounded decadent), we decided upon the shrimp & pork cigars (highly recommend btw) and a bottle of a perfect Malbec. Between the décor (mix of old historic and modern/chic/trendy), and the good blend of music (my date said she had most of the music on her playlist, so we really enjoyed that), and the fact that it was busy but not noisy, the fun and romantic atmosphere that was created definitely left a memorable impression upon both of us. Needless to say, we shall be returning for more of kybecca!

After an 8 hour drive we stopped in Fredericksburg, made reservations two days before and so glad I did. We were promptly seated and greeted by our excellent server, Emery. The menu was small, but everything fresh, local and appealing. Portions generous and everything Delicious. We had house marinated olives and roasted Brussels sprouts with Asian twist, flounder special and shrimp over grits with bits of andouille and vegetables. Definitely will eat there again.

We were in from out of town and selected kybecca because of good reviews on Open Table. Very glad we went! Great food and excellent friendly service. Moderate prices as well. It was "mussels nite" so we had Thai coconut curry mussels, accompanied by excellent double fried "frites". Also had the smoked tomato pasta, and for starters, the shrimp and pork cigars. Great beer selection, very nice wines at reasonable prices. Very casual atmosphere, and we were very impressed with the food. Would highly recommend it.

Probably one of the best in Fredericksburg, VA but with minimalist decor ( a bit like a cafeteria) and very uneven food prep ( spicy pork chop entree seriously over-salted) its not a destination restaurant. It'll be OK if your passing through. Kudos on the wine list as its extremely well priced with a few decent local (VA) wines. Service is friendly and efficient.

This was our fist time. We enjoyed the small plates, lemonade, and veggies. The parking is street or afterhours in bank parking lot. The main courses were not as good as we had hoped. The dinning room has several stairs. The tables are not covered. The service was great and our waitress was friendly and helpful.

Great melody of flavors in fresh, local dishes. The bar is small, but extremely well stocked and offers an amazing variety of specialty drinks. Modern décor that wasn't quite my style, but good service and excellent food and drinks make it a perfect dining spot for a foodie and/or wine/adult beverage connoisseur. I enjoyed the entire experience. I easily made a reservation and was immediately seated when I arrived, choosing to take a table outside. Water and wine were served within the first 10 minutes and food followed a good half and hour later. It was so good and our server was great and answered all of our questions about how things were prepared. Later, after our meals we red finished, we ordered a basket of bread for fear of having too leave to soon! All of the food was prepared beautiful and it was very delicious, and I didn't feel a rush to eat and leave, which I appreciated.

Before dinner we always start with a cocktail and we both had a Mint Mojito. Don't let the price scare you off, it was amazing! The drink was served in a very cold metal cup which had frost so thick you could crave in it. For appetizers we both had the Crispy Pork Belly, wonderfully prepared and presented. For dinner I had the Beef Osso Bucco, that was cooked to perfection. The beef was so tender you didn't need a knife to cut it, it just fell apart with a fork. Finished with the White Chocolate Tiramisu which is a nice change with the white chocolate pastry cream and white chocolate shaven curls. We look forward to returning.

We met friends for dinner and the food was excellent and wait staff was great. We at at 5 and by the time we left around 6:30 the place was getting filled up. I would definitely go back again, the menu isn't overwhelming but had a good selection. We ordered from the raw bar menu and then two people in our party had the shrimp and grits that were out of this world and the scallops were perfectly cooked and the veggie plate was filling and very tasty.

The offerings at Kybecca never disappoint us. The creativity of the chef and use of local produce and products make this our go to favorite for a night out. We had the fried green tomatoes with local grown tomatoes, and corn salsa. Excellent! The crabcakes were outstanding as well with pure lump crabmeat and flavor galore. Dessert was peach cheesecake and wow was that yummy! This restaurant is a gem to Fredericksburg and we hope it stays around for a long, long time!

This was my first visit since their remodeling. They now have the restaurant in a separate area from the wine bar, although you can still get a meal in the wine bar. This arrangement works better and allows better conversation over dinner. The food was excellent (I had shrimp & grits, she had pork chops). We split an excellent hazelnut cheesecake and had coffee. The waitress was very knowledgeable and helped us select 2 excellent wines. Very nice evening and very nice restaurant. Make reservations and plan on parking being a problem (we parked 2 blocks away and almost got caught in a thunderstorm).

Food was good, tasty and different. Cocktails were well done. Bar noise and general noise level is a bit high for a conversation. Maybe the ceiling should be treated with some sound panels. The Wash Post restaurants reviews include sound level ratings now. If Kybecca want diners to be able to have a conversation, they to change the acoustics.

I recently visited Kybecca for the second time and my experience this visit matched the first time - this place is consistently wonderful. The first visit was just my husband and I and we enjoyed many small plates and a few cocktails. The wait staff was very attentive and the food was delicious! This second time was a party of 6 and the service was just as good and so was the food. I was hoping to try a few of the wines, but the spring sangria was so good that it was pretty much all any of us drank. I would recommend Kybecca to anyone looking for good food and drinks in downtown Fburg.

We went to kybecca for Mother's Day dinner. Honestly, after reading all of the reviews, I was not sure what to expect. The prices are not cheap, but WOW. The amount of food you get, and the absolute quality of the food makes the price seem like a bargain. Their wine list is very nice and I will recommend the steak as the entree. It was ridiculously good and after an appetizer and the first two courses, we all had plenty of leftovers. Honestly, by the time the main course came I just laughed to see the portions because we were all feeling full. This is going to be our new special occasion restaurant. Well done kybecca. The food and service at Kybecca is always great but the service on this beautiful day really couldn't have been better. My family and I enjoyed several small plates and shared large plates. The only down-side was a large group in the center of the restaurant that was celebrating a birthday and was very loud ... this made hearing one another at my table somewhat difficult and detracted from the otherwise delicious meal.
