  • "We had a very nice time. Food was great. Service good too. Nice touch that they brought out a free dessert for our birthday person."

  • "If you want great, authentic German food and you're in the mood to socialize with everyone around you, it's a great place. But forget being a couple trying to carry on your own conversation. Our server hovered over us, moving our plates around as we ate, taking away things we weren't done with, and instructing us to eat our garnishes! We appreciated her eagerness, but it kinda doused a romantic evening. I was also, personally disappointed that I had been told they have a full bar, but there were no special, German cocktail offerings. I mean, you have the specials recited at you, whether you have any interest or not. You are handed a fulsome wine menu, whether you are interested or not. Why am I expected to assume liquor inventory?"

  • "Hubby and I snuck away for a quick date night and decided to give this place a try. Not realizing we made the latest reservations for the night, we were the last patrons to leave the restaurant. Nonetheless, Victoria, our server treated us as if we were the first customers to walk in the door. Overall, the food was delicious, especially the shrimp appetizer and the triple mousse cake (we had fondue and small plates). The only thing that was so-so was the calamari, they could do without that on the menu. We will certainly be back again!"

  • "Food, service, atmosphere SUPERB! We are always blown away by the quality of the food and the friendly, attentive service."

  • "We had a fabulous evening at Kurt's. The reservation was honored and we were seated promptly, the food was amazing, and there just can not be enough wonderful things said about our delightful, entertaining, informative, helpful, efficient and engaging server extraordinaire, Hannah. The pork shank is delicious but very large and can easily be shared between 2 or more people. The rack of lamb was magnificent and is sized for one very hungry person or two with smaller appetites. The vegetable plate of three side dishes was beautifully presented and delicious. it was obvious that as much care went into preparing the vegetables as the meat entrees. A fabulous dining experience!"

  • "Nice selection of food and drinks. Service was excellent as always. This is a nice place for a date or group."

  • "This surprising little place, in my opinion, the best German cuisine in the Atlanta area! The service is excellent and our server was extremely knowledgeable with regard to foods, beers and wines. The music being played was a little odd but not a deal breaker for us. We will be back!"

  • "Kurts has been a bastion of fine dining for many years. Best German food this side of Bavaria. Fish is out of this world. Great beer selection and DO NOT miss dessert."

  • "We returned this year to Kurt's for our anniversary. As usual, a great experience. We had a bottle of Riesling, the bistro salad, and a plate of escallopes de porc along with a fillet mignon plate; to cap the night, the triple chocolate mouse cake with drunken berries. It was all prepared exquisitely, and the service was excellent, not much hover but there when needed, and with great personality. It was a bit loud since it was a Friday and pretty packed at 7:30, but not too much. Will be returning soon."

  • "The food was very good (ribeye steak and pork shank). It seems like a very good place for locals to hang out and enjoy excellent food with a friendly staff. We went on a Wednesday night and there was a good crowd - that's a great sign for quality food."

  • "We treated our out of town family to dinner at Kurt's and they both raved over the veggie pasta. We ordered a sampling of sausages, a pork chop, potato salad, and sauerkraut - superb. Our new favorite!"

  • "A great place with a great menu; you will not be disappointed. Hanna (our server) was the best."

  • "We have been going to Kurt's Bistro once a week for years. We love the food, their beer and wine lists are wonderful. Their specials have never disappointed us. The staff are very friendly and are great explaining the menu. Love Kurt's desserts, especially the bananas foster and apple strudel. YUM!! It will stay on our dinner rotation forever."

  • "Kurt's Bistro is an amazing German food find in Georgia. There are many places that have mediocre German food in the area, but none of them really hit the spot for real German food. Kurt's, however, has an excellent menu and cooks who can reproduce nearly any traditional German fare that you might dream up (my father wanted a tilsiter schnitzel and they were able to make one up on the spot). I am very happy with the way we were treated and the food was beyond reproach. My only complaint is that I can't physically find a way to eat everything on the menu."

  • "It had been years since we were at Kurt's former location. We enjoyed an early Father's Day dinner and everything--and I mean everything--was fantastic. Service was phenomenal with an energetic, knowledgeable and attentive watiress. Beer and wine choices wee unique and well priced. The food, then, was obviously authentic and so tasty. Even dishes that I didn't think I liked...I did! I heartily recommend Kurt's Bistro!"

  • "Great German food and beer, and remember the desserts!"

  • "My colleague and I were searching for a good dinner spot on a business trip. Kurt's turned out to be a great choice. Despite the late hour, the staff was wonderful and accommodating. The restaurant describes the fare as European but it has a decidedly German bent. My colleague had the goulash with spaetzle, which he said was both tasty and hearty. I ordered trout with seasonal vegetables. The trout was cooked perfectly, but I would have preferred less butter. Both dishes were worthy. The beer and wine list was quite good with some unusual selections and plenty of German offerings."

  • "Just wished I had been aware of this gem earlier. Very interesting and exciting menu and to a comfortable price. Great ambiance and easy to chat with your dinner partners. The spaetzle, mussles and Wienerschnitzel was just awesome. And you won't leave hungry. Have to go back for the other menu choices soon. Auf Wiedersehen! "

  • "This place was hopping and after trying to food one can see why. Everything we had was fabulous and the service was terrific. A homemade Bavarian Pretzel with trio of sauces, a house and wedge salad both with fabulous homemade dressings to die for. A surf and turf with a fun twist perfectly prepared, and the Wiener Schnitzel was hands down world class. Good wine list and the whole meal was very reasonable especially considering the quality!!! Old world charm for sure!"

  • "This was our 2nd trip to Kurt's. The food was awesome on both visits. The last trip we had a issue with the waitress rushing us through our dinner. We received a quick response from the restaurant saying that they thanked us for letting them know. They fixed the situation and this time the waitress was great. Kurt's is is really a unexpected gem in the Johns Creek / Duluth area. We would suggest you give it a try."

  • "Every single thing was absolutely outstanding! Our waitress, Hannah, was amazing and so bubbly! The ambience was romantic but homey enough to feel very comfortable. And don't get me started about the food! The seafood was so fresh and delicious and the surf and turf was to die for! It was hands down the best steak and lobster I have ever had and trust me I have had both more than I can count. Oh and if you like beer, cocktails, and wine, this place has out done itself with that too. Overall this is a must go place! My husband and I will definitely be back! :) "

  • "We have been to Kurt's a few times and every experience has been memorable. This time the outdoor seating was open so we took the oppertunity to enjoy the beautiful spring day as we dined. Everything we have ordered and been elegant absolutely delicious! We can not leave there without ordering the Spaetzle Black Forrest. "

  • "I have been looking for a restaurant that was sort of German since I was born & raised there. It was my birthday celebration and I wanted a good German meal. I ordered the Sauerbraten and a light German bier (recommended by your German waitress) both of which were excellent. The service was excellent as well. To top it off, I had the Schwarzwalder Kirschtorte for desert. That was quite an experience; I should have taken part of it home but is was so good I finished it there. A wonderful experience overall. The fact that the waitress was German added to the enjoyment and made it all even better."

  • "Cool little place. Wonderfully unusual menu. Our server was terrific! Totally informed and knew the menu thoroughly. The smoked pork chop was a treat, sausages were excellent, steak superb. If you appreciate restaurants with a unique character , while still maintaining a quality menu - and exceptional service- give this one a try. It was a fun dinner, and we were still talking about it the next day."

  • "Second time dining at Kurt's was no disappointment. Food is consistently great - you can't get European food and atmosphere this authentic in the Atlanta metro area unless you visit Kurt's Bistro. The German-born server was very knowledgeable and quite funny and entertaining. Desserts were all freshly made and rated a 10+ each. Only slight issue this trip was that we had a table for six and service was a bit slower than usual. But it was a Saturday night and we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless."

  • "Service was good but felt rushed. Took my drink before I finished but saved our leftovers when kids forgot them. Also replaced food kid dropped on floor for free."

  • "The atmosphere was great. Our server was wonderful and reminded us of the old Schnitzelhus ladies in Germany. The only thing that was bothersome is that the menu didn't specify that everything would be made with onions. My husband despises onions to the point where if one is discovered in his food he will stop eating it. He didn't finish any part of the spetzel, pork tenderloin or salad because he found onion in it. Overall it was delicious and huge portions."

  • "Wasn't quite what we were expecting seeing "bistro" in the name. I had French on my mind. But a pleasant surprise when I got over the initial shock. My husband ordered the Stein of Oktoberfest beer and loved. He had the veal w sauerkraut which was excellent. I had a taste of the sauerkraut and have to admit I'm a fan now. My scallops were great. The overall experience was very good. Very pubish atmosphere and not a fancy place but good food and service."

  • "We had a fabulous dinner at Kurt's! Our meals were really delicious and the food presentation was beautiful. It is not a super fancy/trendy place.....but the food, service and drink selections were a "10". We will definitely return!"

  • "Good German food, with the sausages and (smoked) pork chop quite tasty. Wine list is good and fairly reasonable in price."
    Dined on 4/10/2014
  • "The food and drink was very good. We especially liked the sauerkraut. On the downside, our waiter rushed us through everything from finishing our food to paying the bill. She asked if she could take food off the table as we were eating it on more than one occasion. I doubt that here poor service is the norm and we will return again for the good food."

  • "The smoked salmon Scandia was an amazing appetizer at a great price and this was my dinner! My significant other told me the Classic Wienerschnitzel was tender, cooked perfectly, and delicious!"
