Kurt's BistroMother's Day Success!Once again Kurt and his crew greeted us with a nice array of food from both the sea and on-land. Oyster shooters were a nice treat along with lobster, crab, smoked fish, perfectly prepared prime rib, ham, and lamb. The salads, cold cuts and cheeses were all a hit as well. Wrapping the meal up with strudel and smores cookies was perfect.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have been enjoying KurtsWe have been enjoying Kurts for 20 years. The food is consistantly excellent. The service is very accommodating. The only place in Atlanta for authentic German food.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first time atThis was our first time at Kurt's and we would highly recommend this place to our friends. The service was excellent and the food was great. We ordered fish which was so fresh and they made it spicy for us. Absolutely loved it. The prices were also very reasonable. Even their small portions were enough for sharing and some leftover to bring home. We were 3 of us.Definitely we will go back and it is very close to home as well.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have been to Kurt's atWe have been to Kurt's at least 6 or 7 times and have enjoyed every visit. It is refreshing to interact with the actual owner instead of a nameless, faceless big restaurant group. (Kurt is very charming and funny). He has done a great job of mixing classic German food with lighter Bistro fare, and the wine list has some very well priced gems. Living on the North side doesn't mean you have to drive to Midtown or Buckhead to have a great dining experience.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMKnown Kurt's for many years,Known Kurt's for many years, always great food, great service, great owners4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing hidden GemFood was amazing. Best food I've had in Gwinnett. Great beer list. Delicious hand cut steak. Decadent black Forrest cake. You must try this place. So glad I found it. Will be back next time I'm in Gwinnett. Our server was so funny and sweet. She made me miss my mom. :)4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat German Food!!!!Discovered this gem of a restaurant through a scoutmob deal. The food was excellent and the wait staff was excellent! We loved the fact that our waitress was not a high school kid, but rather someone who had been a waitress for years and knew that if our water glass was empty to refill it before it was empty. I ordered a bistro salad, red cabbage and weinersnitzel with spaetzle all of which I would high recommend to anyone. It is a small restaurant, so I recommend making a reservation especially if you are planning on going on the weekend. From the time we sat down, til the time we left, it took a total of 42 minutes and we didn't feel rushed at all. We will definitely be going back!4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMFavorite for Years!Wonderful for neighborhood dinner place. We don't bother going anywhere else. We don't eat much meat, and it is a German restaurant, so it's a fun change---but has delicious salmon and alternatives also. But once we just ordered a lot of vegetable side dishes and small plates and were tickled at how delicious that was! Don't really want to give away our secret, but it's different from the average restaurant around north suburban Atlanta. Kurt and Vereny are gems! And if you don't go there, we will actually be glad because then we can get last minute reservations!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMKurt's is one of the bestKurt's is one of the best gems in Georgia. Great job Kurt and team!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMA true taste of Germany!I am so disappointed that I didn't know about Kurt's Bistro sooner. This place is an absolute hidden treasure if you are looking for authentic German cuisine. The interior had a lovely ambiance and there was a large patio for outdoor dining. They are also set up for live music on the patio during the warmer months. The worst part of the meal was trying to narrow down my choice of what to eat. So many wonderful options. My sister selected several of the "small plates" for her meal. Everything we had was flavorful and well-portioned for the price. They may have some of the best sauerkraut I've ever eaten. They have a large wine list and a divine dessert menu. Highly recommend the bananas foster. Can't wait to go again.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMfound this restaurant on openfound this restaurant on open tables while visiting Duluth last week. wonderful neighbor hood restaurant. the owners were very
nice and helpful. food was excellent .3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a German FeastBring a little of Germany into your life. Authentic food from Germany in a small bistro atmosphere. One of the few places to get really good spaetzel!1/19/2013 12:00:00 AMVery Good except for a loud cpoupleThis was our second time here and we were very happy at both the food and the service. We did have a couple right behind us who talked very loud in a foreign language which made our conversation hard to hear. Other than that everything was very good.1/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGerman bistro with personalityI have been to this establishment on many occasions. I really enjoy the genuine, yet relaxed, atmosphere. The food is top notch and fresh. My favorite is the filet, which is served with 6 different sauces, housed in separate compartments on the plate. If you like the combination of German dishes with the east of France, in a comfortable setting, this might be your spot. I will return. Many times.9/15/2012 12:00:00 AM
