We go weekly to Kurt's and look forward to it. Love the food. Waitresses Hannah, Victoria, and Lilo, are great, make you feel special, and very attentive to our needs. Barmaids, Perry and Sandra are wonderful. Always smiling, very friendly, and we love to talk to them all.

We celebrated our anniversary, the restaurant was quiet enough to understand each other's words. The lady who greeted us and the waitress were very nice, joking a little bit with us and being always around for some extra slices of lemon or some extra butter. The food was prepared very quick. My wife ordered the salmon, it was average taste. You couldn't choose the side dish so the fish was paired with sauerkraut, which was very oily. It didn't really justify the price. A nice touch was a complimentary slice of Tiramisu for our celebration.

Kurt's is always consistent with their food, and service. My wife and I have been going to Kurt's for 21 years and we have never had a bad meal or bad services. Kurt, Vreny and Alex all take the time to say hello and to make sure everything is okay with our meal. The waiters, waitresses and bartenders are all very knowledgeable and very friendly. We would recommend Kurt's for special occassions. for business dinners or just a quiet dinner with your significant other. Kurt and his staff always makes the night special for us. Thank you!!

As always, we love the food prepared by Chef Alexander! Pork shank was large enough to be shared by two people, as was the combo platter. Shank was very tender and the sausages are always excellent. Pretzels are always a "must order" and the accompanying sauces added just the right touch. Don't miss the tiramisu desert, it's terrific! And finally, our server Lilo is always excellent, making good suggestions and being there when we needed her. We have been eating at Kurt's for about 15 years and always enjoy it!

If you want great, authentic German food and you're in the mood to socialize with everyone around you, it's a great place. But forget being a couple trying to carry on your own conversation. Our server hovered over us, moving our plates around as we ate, taking away things we weren't done with, and instructing us to eat our garnishes! We appreciated her eagerness, but it kinda doused a romantic evening. I was also, personally disappointed that I had been told they have a full bar, but there were no special, German cocktail offerings. I mean, you have the specials recited at you, whether you have any interest or not. You are handed a fulsome wine menu, whether you are interested or not. Why am I expected to assume liquor inventory?

Hubby and I snuck away for a quick date night and decided to give this place a try. Not realizing we made the latest reservations for the night, we were the last patrons to leave the restaurant. Nonetheless, Victoria, our server treated us as if we were the first customers to walk in the door. Overall, the food was delicious, especially the shrimp appetizer and the triple mousse cake (we had fondue and small plates). The only thing that was so-so was the calamari, they could do without that on the menu. We will certainly be back again!

We had a fabulous evening at Kurt's. The reservation was honored and we were seated promptly, the food was amazing, and there just can not be enough wonderful things said about our delightful, entertaining, informative, helpful, efficient and engaging server extraordinaire, Hannah. The pork shank is delicious but very large and can easily be shared between 2 or more people. The rack of lamb was magnificent and is sized for one very hungry person or two with smaller appetites. The vegetable plate of three side dishes was beautifully presented and delicious. it was obvious that as much care went into preparing the vegetables as the meat entrees. A fabulous dining experience!

Chose this restaurant because we had previous excellent experiences at their former location and wanted to share a good meal with our children who were visiting from Nevada. The potato pancake was greasy and heavy, not at all what we expected. The entree was OKAY but not what we were used to from our former visits and the side dish wasn't edible. Dessert was great so I guess if you are only looking for desert, this is a good choice.

We returned this year to Kurt's for our anniversary. As usual, a great experience. We had a bottle of Riesling, the bistro salad, and a plate of escallopes de porc along with a fillet mignon plate; to cap the night, the triple chocolate mouse cake with drunken berries. It was all prepared exquisitely, and the service was excellent, not much hover but there when needed, and with great personality. It was a bit loud since it was a Friday and pretty packed at 7:30, but not too much. Will be returning soon.

We eat here often and can never say enough about Kurt and his lovely wife's restaurant. Took my family from out of town (big German's) and they LOVED everything. We had so much food we took it home an ate it for 2 more days! Amazing. Try different things and share them. Steaks are fantastic. Black Forest Spetzle to die for. The Pork Shank....OMG delicious. And for crying out loud order a liter or yard of German Bier!!!! Service is often as good if not better then the food. Everyone inside is long term and know how to make you visit memorable. Be sure to order dessert! Kurt himself will flambé bananas foster for you table side!!!!

Kurt's Bistro is an amazing German food find in Georgia. There are many places that have mediocre German food in the area, but none of them really hit the spot for real German food. Kurt's, however, has an excellent menu and cooks who can reproduce nearly any traditional German fare that you might dream up (my father wanted a tilsiter schnitzel and they were able to make one up on the spot). I am very happy with the way we were treated and the food was beyond reproach. My only complaint is that I can't physically find a way to eat everything on the menu.

Service was phenomenal with an energetic, knowledgeable and attentive watiress. Beer and wine choices wee unique and well priced. The food, then, was obviously authentic and so tasty. My colleague and I were searching for a good dinner spot on a business trip. Kurt's turned out to be a great choice. Despite the late hour, the staff was wonderful and accommodating. The restaurant describes the fare as European but it has a decidedly German bent. My colleague had the goulash with spaetzle, which he said was both tasty and hearty. I ordered trout with seasonal vegetables. The trout was cooked perfectly, but I would have preferred less butter. Both dishes were worthy. The beer and wine list was quite good with some unusual selections and plenty of German offerings.

A homemade Bavarian Pretzel with trio of sauces, a house and wedge salad both with fabulous homemade dressings to die for. This was our 2nd trip to Kurt's. The food was awesome on both visits. The last trip we had a issue with the waitress rushing us through our dinner. We received a quick response from the restaurant saying that they thanked us for letting them know. They fixed the situation and this time the waitress was great. Kurt's is is really a unexpected gem in the Johns Creek / Duluth area. We would suggest you give it a try.

And don't get me started about the food! The seafood was so fresh and delicious and the surf and turf was to die for! It was hands down the best steak and lobster I have ever had and trust me I have had both more than I can count. Oh and if you like beer, cocktails, and wine, this place has out done itself with that too. Overall this is a must go place! My husband and I will definitely be back! :)

I have been looking for a restaurant that was sort of German since I was born & raised there. It was my birthday celebration and I wanted a good German meal. I ordered the Sauerbraten and a light German bier (recommended by your German waitress) both of which were excellent. The service was excellent as well. To top it off, I had the Schwarzwalder Kirschtorte for desert. That was quite an experience; I should have taken part of it home but is was so good I finished it there. A wonderful experience overall. The fact that the waitress was German added to the enjoyment and made it all even better.

Second time dining at Kurt's was no disappointment. Food is consistently great - you can't get European food and atmosphere this authentic in the Atlanta metro area unless you visit Kurt's Bistro. The German-born server was very knowledgeable and quite funny and entertaining. Desserts were all freshly made and rated a 10+ each. Only slight issue this trip was that we had a table for six and service was a bit slower than usual. But it was a Saturday night and we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless.

The atmosphere was great. Our server was wonderful and reminded us of the old Schnitzelhus ladies in Germany. The only thing that was bothersome is that the menu didn't specify that everything would be made with onions. My husband despises onions to the point where if one is discovered in his food he will stop eating it. He didn't finish any part of the spetzel, pork tenderloin or salad because he found onion in it. Overall it was delicious and huge portions.
