Having been raised in Milwaukee, I crave good German food which is what Kurt's has to offer. The second best Weinerschnitzel in the Atlanta area is in my kitchen! Kurt's has the first! Some unusual wine selections include Gewurtztraminer which is seldom offered but pairs perfectly with good German food. A hearty wine for hearty food.

As usual, the food was excellent. Had Weinerschnitzel & Schweinaxer. Both well prepared & deliciously seasoned. My only complaint was the amount of lemon butter on the weinerschnitzel. There was very little and under the breaded veal. I asked for a little more and they brought out a very small gravy boat of the lemon butter, however, when I got the bill, an extra $2.50 was added! Suggestion...ask for the lemon butter on the side, then the meat won't get soggy on the bottom & save the extra cost! The schweinaxer was enormous and delicious, as usual, and you had enough left over for a extra meal to eat at home. Love the food & the ambiance. Kurt was his usual "smiley" self when he prepared the Bananas Foster at our table. YUM!

Kurt's continues to beat expectations on ambiance, quality of food and service. Don't turn away because it's located in strip mall on Peachtree Industrial. Once you pass through the door, welcome to a restaurant right out of a small village in Germany, from the European décor and ambiance to the authentic accents of the owners and wait staff - they are the real deal. Food is just as I remember past visits to Germany. The beer choices, as you would expect, are top notch - would make any brew tavern proud. Be prepared to take a bag home for lunch the next day and save room for the homemade desserts the size of lunch boxes.

We were put into an overflow room that was definitely not cozy like the restaurant. In keeping with an overflow room, we were forgotten about and had to wait too long for everything ... including the check. Food was good, but not worth it. For some reason I felt like I was less of a customer here because my reservation was made through open table

This was my first visit to Kurt's since they moved location. I was worried that all the ambiance I loved would be gone. I was wrong. My group had a very pleasant evening. Since this was pleasure and business, we really appreciated that we could have a conversation without shouting at one another. Everyone was extremely satisfied with their meal and dessert! I see myself returning soon for a great dinner with a close friend.

Kurt's has always been a favorite with us. We usually come here for special occasions and never have been disappointed. This was the first time we had eaten at his new location. I had reserved a table, but it seemed that the hostess was unaware. The place was packed. We were accommodated though quickly, albeit in a makeshift booth blocking a French door. This cubicle was rather tight. Our waiter was very forgetful and came up short on several requests. As far as the food, it was delicious. Typical German fare. Wide range of dishes along with price. Great music on the patio. We will go again but will ensure better seating arrangements the next time.

Id have not had a great bowl od goulash soup since I left Germany in 1973 until I had Hurts. It is worth the visit alone. I loved the small plate menu which allowed variety without being over stuffed. the goulash soup , smoked Georgia trout and sautéed spinach fit the bill. Wife had the jaeger schnitzel and loved it. I did to eating the left overs the next day. We shared a slab of black forest cake which we could not finish either. We will return for more great food. Ask for Hana for your server she is a wonderful at her job and is a hoot.

We always enjoy Kurt's and this time we sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the music of Octoberfest. Kurt's food is great and the entertainment was enjoyable too. We lived in Frankfurt for 5 years in the late 80's and early 90's and Kurt's is a special place to us and the food is close to food you would expect in Germany.

We had a reservation, but was kept waiting anyway. Had to "grab" a server to get served. When food arrived, it was delicious. Service on the other hand, was a lot to be desired. A male server stated the restaurant was overwhelmed due to Octoberfest (special promotion) and that we might get waited on. We ultimately did get waiting on by a professional server who was very nice. The owner (Kurt) needs some etiquette training. There was a butter dish on top of a menu, which when Kurt came by, he removed the dish without saying a word, and walked away. "No excuse me or anything", just walked away. What a snoot!!! If the restaurant was having a promotion, then some additional servers should have been added to the staff.

This is one of our long time favorite Duluth restaurants. If you like really authentic German food, this is the place to go. They were very busy this past Saturday night due to the Duluth Fall Festival so parking was short and the waitress was running around like crazy. But the end result was fantastic food and she suggested an Austrian wine that was absolutely fabulous.

We had a reservation at 7:00, arrived 10 minutes early and were seated right away on the patio as requested in my reservation. We were able to choose our seating as it was not very crowded at the time. (Grab a cushion as the chairs aren't very comfortable without one) We were greeted by our server she did everything possible to make our first time the best it could be. She made excellent suggestions for alcoholic beverages as well as food choices. We got the BAVARIAN JUMBO PRETZEL and SPAETZLE BLACK FOREST small plates first. They were both delicious! We then shared the SCHWABIAN PLATTER which was delicious but I did not care for the sides. We were also given a free birthday dessert for my husband which was a nice touch and yummy.

Our first visit to Kurt's Bistro was to celebrate our anniversary. We like all kinds of cuisine and have been hard put to find a German restaurant in Atlanta. Kurt's was a delight. The food was excellent, just as we remember it from our two years in Germany. The wine list was fine for us (not big drinkers). We had a good Riesling. Everything from the salad to dessert was excellent, presented well and very tasty. The service was attentive, but not intrusive. The atmosphere was carefully crafted in darker woods, but it was not overwhelmingly Teutonic. We definitely will visit Kurt's again.

We celebrated our anniversary, the restaurant was quiet enough to understand each other's words. The lady who greeted us and the waitress were very nice, joking a little bit with us and being always around for some extra slices of lemon or some extra butter. The food was prepared very quick. My wife ordered the salmon, it was average taste. You couldn't choose the side dish so the fish was paired with sauerkraut, which was very oily. It didn't really justify the price. A nice touch was a complimentary slice of Tiramisu for our celebration.

As always, we love the food prepared by Chef Alexander! Pork shank was large enough to be shared by two people, as was the combo platter. Shank was very tender and the sausages are always excellent. Pretzels are always a "must order" and the accompanying sauces added just the right touch. Don't miss the tiramisu desert, it's terrific! And finally, our server Lilo is always excellent, making good suggestions and being there when we needed her. We have been eating at Kurt's for about 15 years and always enjoy it!
