Good ambience for sure. We were seated quick and had drinks on the go. Ice melted in our cocktails before they arrived at the table so they were warm and so was the restaurant. Service was friendly and recommendations were plentiful. Our waiter was knowledgable on our wines and menu. We tried the summerlicious options. The grilled calamari was cooked perfectly with the right amount of pesto. Ribs as the entree was overcooked, chewy and charred a bit with lots of animal fat. The panna cotta wasn't set and when we mentioned that it was merely a soup, we just got a "oh that's not good" and no substitutions... All in all, it was a good way to sit around a table and drink amazing wines. Would go back, not to a prix fixe type offering though.

We had dinner in this restaurant on Friday. And both the ambiance and food was very poor. They had the radio on, so even the misic was not enjoyable. I don't think that I will ever go back or recommend this place. Very dissapointing.

I have been to Kultura before for dinner and it was not an unpleasant restaurant, but today's Summerlicious lunch was a BIG disappointment. The food was so-so, well below the price level of this "fine dining" restaurant. The service was friendly enough, but very, very slow, and the restaurant was not even full! Definitely overpriced for the quality of the food and the 2 hour wait for 3 courses at lunch. Would not make the same mistake again.

I live in the East end and have always wanted to try one of King Street East's restaurants that I pass on way to and from work every day. Decided to go to Kultura for my last Summerlicious dinner pick. It was great! The staff was very attentive and friendly, menu was amazing and even my date that is not one to try new places really liked it. Great way to end the Summerlicious season. Will definitely be back soon.

Unfortunately my group and I had a terrible experience at Kultura during Summerlicious. We were seated right on time and were promptly serviced and provided a drink menu and our group shortly ordered afterward. Our main courses did not arrived for another 2 hours after that. In between those two hours our server, in almost fear and nerves, avoided our table, forcing one of my group members to have to leave her seat and walk up to the bar to ask him where our food was and if we could speak to a manager. The manager arrived at our table about half an hour after that request and didn't even listen to what we had to say. Unfortunately, after 2 hours of anticipation, no food will ever be that great.

This was my first time trying out this restaurant, and I definitely will not go back. The food was horrible. They had some problem in the kitchen, so the food came after more than an hour after we ordered. We were really hungry, but still didn't want to finish the food. By the way, for lunch menu, they ended up taking out one of the dessert menus. So, your choices are donut soaked in sugar syrup or panna cotta that tastes like nothing. I'm sure you can get better donut from Him Hortons for a lot cheaper. Don't waste your money. The restaurant was not busy at all. And, there was a reason for it.

Their Summerlicious menu was fantastic! My friends and I really enjoyed everything we ate. The mushroom pasta was delicious. All their desserts was great as well, especially the Ferrero Rocher ice cream. The lemon and vanilla panna cotta was a little strong on the lemon syrup but otherwise was a nice, light way to finish the meal. The staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was nice as well. The music wasn't too loud. The only thing was that it was a tad hot. I would definitely go back again.

The place is beautiful, great decor, but service was slow and half the waiting staff are inexperienced. Food is a hit or miss. Came for Summerlicious and ordered the fried duck ravioli, nothing special and portion was too small. My friends ordered the strawberry gazpacho, it is definitely an acquired taste since it's a weird combination, and the salad was pretty but didn't taste great (word of advice to the chefs: don't use tasteless iceberg lettuce in a fancy restaurant). All the main dishes were great, the arctic char was cooked to perfection, the side vegetables however were just boiled and tasteless. Chicken and the mushroom pasta dish were good. They ran out of the panacotta and only had the doughnut holes which was just OK

We happened to take a chance and try Kultura for Lunch. We are so glad we did. Great food & Decor! We loved it so much So we came back 3 days later to try the dinner, We loved the Beef Miami Ribs, Calimari, Asian Salad, Meditarian Naan, Lobster stuffed Pork Chop and the Sizzling Steak. Amazing Banana Springroll with Chocolate Gellato desert. Then to make the night even better we were offered Shisha. ( I think it is only available after 9pm)Since it was our first time we were a bit hesitant. But we caved and said yes. Very Cool, fun and relaxing. We had a few more cocktails and another hour and a half passed. A great all round experience.

this was by far the WORST experience I've had. A main feature of the summerlicious menu was not available. The appetizers came out staggered and we waited over 45 minutes for a caprese salad. The servers kept pouring flat water into our sparkling glasses, Then we went about a half hour without any water. The ribs were dry and cold. There was no explanation with my tuna appetizer, it was just put into the centre of the table a half hour after two people in my group had eaten their appetizers. we were there for three and a half hours. The restaurant compensated us for two of the dinners but that didn't make up for the terrible service and disorganization. I would be reluctant to go back or recommend Kultura to anyone.

Kultura was once one of our favourite restaurants. Unfortunately, that is no more. There are new owners and a new chef. Food: the appetizers and main courses were oily. The sauce for the duck confit ravioli was a pretty red colour but had no flavour. The previously terrific donut holes with dipping sauce, now have no dippling sauce & are similar to eating Timbits. The lemon green tea panna cotta was terrific though. Ambience/service: Attentive, professional service when the restaurant was full, was one of the hallmarks of Kultura. We had lunch at 11:45 and it took 30 min to get our first courses even though there were few other people in the restaurant. And hip/hop type music blasted out of speakers - not pleasant.

Came here with a group of girlfriends, last time with husband. Food was excellent (great appies to share, superb drink menu, and had the mushroom orechiette with lobster, great desserts). Service was a little slow between courses but that's because everything is made from scratch I suppose. Chef Daniel came out twice to say hello (we were seated on the main floor) which was very nice and made for a personal touch. I enjoy the decor. Overall, I like this restaurant and would recommend and return.

We had a table of 10. It took more than an hour from the time we ordered until we received our appetizers. It was 20 minutes between the first appetizer and the last person to be served Then another hour for our entrees. A group of people arrived at the bar and our server went to help the bartender and left our table with no service. And to add insult to injury there was a tip of 18% automatically added to our tip. I will never go back

Food was fabulous. Love the sharing plates concept! Thursdays are currently "half price for your first bottle of wine" ... Nice! (I was disappointed, however, that the bottle I ordered was no longer one the restaurant carries). The first floor is okay for summer dining if you are by the window; but would recommend requesting a seat on the second floor if possible. I would suggest this restaurant for small to large gatherings ... Prompt service, excellent food and nice atmosphere!

Food is hit-and-miss: some good dishes (scallops, although a bit overcooked), and some not-so-good (crispy tofu, where the noodles were really uninteresting). Flourless chocolate cake with banana ice cream is really good. Ground floor is more bar-like and a bit cold and sterile feeling. Upstairs, with the exposed brick and wood floors, is much nicer. Reasonable wines by the glass or bottle. Summary: not a winner, but there's not a lot of competition in that neighbourhood.

Everything but the service, which was very poor, made our time worth it. However, taking 2.5 hours to serve three courses in a semi-empty restaurant, needing to remind the waiter of everything from the bill to taking our menu, and being served cold food, is regretable. It might be a one-time glitch but reflected poorly on the quality of service, and the overall restaurant.

My boyfriend and I went to Kultura for dinner during Winterlicious. Everything started well as the waitress took us to a nice little table in a quiet corner. Unfortunately, we quickly noticed that this lovely corner was freezy cold... Despite fancy presentation, dishes were average to mediocre, with a special mention to my orecchiettes that were litterally swimming in an oil bath... Service was also poor. I got my (tiny and overly sweet) crème brûlée without a spoon and the waitress just disappeared. After 10min, I had to go and get a spoon myself... We also got the bill without asking - 9:20, on a Monday night, time to go?? This place is totally overrated. Too many good restaurants in Toronto to waste time and money there!

The food portions were extremly small and the food was lacking flavour. The service and ambiance was great, but the meal in general was mediocre. We confirmed, and "live" person reiterated threat to give away table if late. Group of 4 arrived on time, but, surprise, no table. Invited to the bar. Several others arriving for 7:30 sitting were in the same boat. From this rocky start, things improved. Glasses of wine at the bar were comped, and we were given a table about half an hour later. Table service was swift and competent. Crab starter was straightforward but tasty; burrata was excellent; flank steak was nicely done tho' some potatoes a little underdone; sea bass was highlight of the night. Please note: Kultura is very noisy! Not for quiet conversation.

The ambiance was perfect for couples and groups. There's 3 dining floors so lots of room to divide the types of groups coming in to control the noise level. Our server needed to repeat what we've ordered because she kept messing it up. I asked for lychee tea, I got a lychee martini. Maybe start using a notepad instead of memorizing the orders? It doesn't remove the fanciness of the place just because someone is writing the orders down. I'd rather have that than have a confused person. The delivery of the meals were also wrong - wrong person getting the wrong meal. The desserts were bland and uncreative.Example: Creme Brulee or Cheesecake w/seasonal fruits. There were no fruits to be found and the desserts could have been delivered by Loblaws

Unfortunately we ended up with THAT server who made those guests wait. Food - mediocre. Service TERRIBLE. Our server was a disaster. "Are you ready to order?" was all she had to say about the menu. She was not attentive, and did nothing to satisfy my disappointing 1st course - two cold, hard naan. I know what "fresh out the oven" looks/smells and taste like-She tried to convince me it was.
