The food is fresh and top quality served beautifully. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The white leather booths are immaculate and the place is spotless. Very cool vibes! There were four in our party and 2 appetizers were slight delayed because the chef wasn't happy with how our beef carpaccio was presented so he redid them and brought them out himself. They were so fresh and really quite beautifully presented.
The salmon with lentils from the pre-theater $35 prix fixe menu, which was quite a steal, was perfectly prepared. Dessert wise, the apple crumble was off the charts and my chocolate flourless cake was better than many chocolate desserts I've had even at Michelin starred restaurants. It is very sophisticated yet comfortably casual. The main dining room is very comfortable and the staff are courteous and helpful. We sat in the bar area which was primarily decorated in white with white tables and chairs as well as banquets reminiscent of colors of a "kitchen". Behind the Bar was a beautiful, warm, lowlighted dinning room with well spaced tables and booths. We ordered the prifx menu and were astonished at the quality of the selections and the reasonable price. The service was impeccable. We plan on going again and often. The "girls" were very talented and fun to watch. The food was very good and the service equally professional. It is perfectly located for the theater, and the food was very good and the service was friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The staff is welcoming; the menu is comfort food with a "twist," like crispy quinoa bites (my friends enjoyed them) with a dipping sauce or a pea soup with gnocchi and smoked trout (which I loved). One had mac & cheese, which he enjoyed; ditto for chicken breast with broccoli rabe for the other. I chose fish and chips; the fish was a trace chewy (may have been a different kind than I'm used to) but flavorful, with crispy crust and tartar sauce that doubled nicely as fritte sauce for the divinely sinful chips. We ended with sorbet and gelato; I had black currant sorbet, which was refreshing and tart. And each time I bring a different guest. This time I brought two female friends, one with a 9 month old infant. High chairs would be great to have (hint hint) but I knew in advance that there weren't any but the staff was very accommodating to help set us up with what ever arrangement worked best. For $10Awesome vodka bar. For $10 you get a tall glass with a measured amount of vodka in it (good brands!) and you can make your own bloody mary at a vodka bar with all kinds of things to put in it from the traditional green olives, lemon, lime, celery stick and horseradish to real bacon, red peppers, yellow peppers and capers, just to name a few and a choice of 2 homemade mixes. The delicious food is served in reasonable portions- not too large - so dining is pleasant and not overwhelming. The service was a little too intense - lots of people and only a few who know what they are doing. The atmosphere is so tranquil that the army of servers is a little intrusive.
