our waist line.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMA gemA very interesting place. Off of I-45 and cross-timbers, neighborhood, not exactly trendy, but parking was secure felt safe. Associated with Culinary Institute, you could tell a lot of care went into the food - just outstanding. Everything prepared to perfection, all fresh ingredients. Table service was excellent, and except for a slightly loud noise level on a crowded night, ambience was perfect. I was told by the waiter it was unusually crowded. Only thing less than perfection was a cup of decaf coffee I had with the desert - I found it a little weak. The prices were very reasonable for top quality food. Will definitely go again.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat EveningMy wife and I recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at Kris Bistro. It was a great choice, as we truly enjoyed our evening. The attention to detail in the confirmation call was certainly an indication that I made a good choice in selecting the restaurant. That proved to be true as the food was great. Very flavorful and well prepared. Our server’s recommendations did not disappoint. We were very happy with our dishes. Unfortunately we were pressed for time that evening and had to cut our dinner short, taking our desserts to go. Prior to leaving, however, the staff prepared a dish in celebration of our anniversary. It was a nice touch to cap off an enjoyable evening. My wife is already asking when we can go back.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWe took a foodie nine yearWe took a foodie nine year old grandkid here for his birthday. It was FANTASTIC. Not just the excellent dinner...he toured the kitchens twice, got a paper toque just like the students wear and piped some icing in the pastry kitchen. Everyone made him feel sooo special. He will remember this special occasion a long time and WE will never forget it! Thanks Kris, and all your staff.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMStuck in one of the worstStuck in one of the worst parts of Houston - Kris Bistro is an undiscovered gem.
