Food was not great. If I hadn't
ordered calamari, I would have thought it was a plate of batter. Waiter was incredibly rude at the end."

I was there with a friend on a
sunday evening, it was very nice, not too busy or noisy at all. The food was great! everything we ordered was wonderful and more than sufficient. The service was efficient and we felt taken our server was knowledgeable and well mannered. We ordered an assortment of dishes and shared Tapas style, they were very accommodating and the food was all fresh and hot when it arrived to the table. I will definitely visit this restaurant again."

Dinner was lovely but really made
the experience great was our server. He was very attentive and personable. He made great recomendations and the meals turned out fabulous! I will be back."

Food was not very good (Rack of
lamb especially poor, ordered MR, came well) All the appetizers were good. The servers made it a great night and Belly Dancer was so muc fun , our guests enjoyed it. "

Family outing for dinner. From
when we walked in entire staff made us feel welcome. I love going out and feeling comfortable and appreciated. From hostess to servers to managers all spoke to us like we were family and demonstrated that they appreciate our business. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want good old hospitality and great food !!"

We really enjoyed the food and
atmosphere. A bit pricey but the portions are large. The belly dancer was fun and gave guests a good time. We will be back!"

The food was perfect, the service
fast and polit, the only minor thing for me is we felt a bit crowded at our table. We booked ahead for a party of 8 on a Wednesday evening, and were kind of squished into a back table. Considering the restaurant was fairly quiet at that time, a little more space would have been nice (maybe we would have eaten more if there has been more room for additional plates, lol)."

We haven't been to the original
Koutouki since we moved to the south side several years ago and we definitely noticed the difference upon entering as the restaurant was almost empty at 6pm on a Saturday night. We had the Traditional Meze. The appetizers started off well with pita and dips as well as traditional greek salad. These all went down well and were followed up with some piping hot spanakopita. From here it went downhill as both the dolmades and keftes were very dry and flavourless and the next dish was the chicken thighs that smelled and tasted off served with rice so dry it crunched. Finally came the driest lamb I have ever had. I just couldn't eat more than half before giving in hopes of leaving for another location for dessert."

Tthis night out helped me charm
the pants off my Valentine! Good food, good dancing with the belly dancer and fantastic Greek Coffee. We will be back!"

This was one of my favourite
eateries. However, our Valentine's dinner was not good. There was a set menu, which was fine and very plentiful. From the Greek salad, to pitas and dips, to the full "meze", there was plenty to eat. But, it tasted like it had been prepared last week. The food overall lacked flavour and the certain Greek touches that I had come to love. The rose at each table was a nice touch, but the experience did not meet the quality that Koutaki was known for. The set menu wine was not great - Ieft half a glass. I get the sense that the management/ownership of the restaurant has changed, and that the new chef did not get the original recipes."

Had a good dinner. The customers I
had taken to dinner enjoyed there meals. I found my roast lamb over cooked but the rest of the meal was excellent."
Dined on 2/6/2014
My friend and I were very
disappointed tonight. The place was not very crowded when we came in, we now know why. Started off with two appetizers. Keftedes and dolmades. The keftedes were dry, they fell apart when you stuck your fork in them, and they were bland and tasteless. However, I ordered the rack of lamb, and my friend ordered the file. Both were poorly prepared, lacked proper seasoning, and were bland. The lamb was particularly dry. I naively thought that they couldn't screw up the candies with the bill -- damp and mushy!!!! We were very disappointed overall, it was an unappetising meal that was also overpriced. Never coming back. If it were not for the friendly waitress and good service, my review would have gotten one star."

Six of us got together for dinner
on a Saturday night and while the ambience was in keeping with the vibe of the restaurant, the high light being the belly dancer the food was just ok. We ordered group feast ($38.00 per person) at the recommendation of our server (who was awesome) but in spite of the notable volume of food the taste was just average. Not bad, just average."
Dined on 1/18/2014
The food is decent, not great. The
price is outrageous considering the ambience! It's like a run down dive. The place was dead. They had a belly dancer, which was cool- but felt really awkward since we were the only people in the place. Plus- they charged our designated driver for refills of pop. Needless to say, we will not be returning."

I had booked this reservation for
my staff xmas party , and they truly loved it, they are still talking about ot today. I'm so glad that i chose Koutouki for this evening. The staff were great , the waitress was fantastic right on que the whole evening. We loved the belly dancing, and smashing of the plates at the end just as we were leaving. My staff and i would like to thank you and all of your staff, especially the wonderful kitchen staff. It was a memoriable eve for all of us. And we all will be back soon again. Thank You all so much Carolanne L'Hirondelle Salon L'Hirondelle"

My husband had the rack of lamb
which was so tender, it fell off the bone. Truly outstanding. We found the portion sizes to be very generous. Love the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant."

This restaurant was recommended to
us by a friend. The appetizers were hot and delicious. The entrees were wonderful and plentiful and the desserts - well totally scrumptious. I can't say enough about the wonderful waitress. She was informative and made great suggestions. Great sense of humour. I will go back again and again"

This is an unassuming restaurant
in two locations in Edmonton. The restaurant might be mistaken for a tavern by a casual observer. Inside the experience seems to be genuinely greek in nature. The food is good - we shared the courses for one price per person. The food is almost always great; we were a little disappointed in the lamb this visit. The service was speedy, welcoming and not at all obtrusive. My one criticism would be that the noise level in the building gets high as it fills and the level of the background music does not discourage the volume."

My second time at this restaurant.
The service was amazing. We were celebrating my youngest sons birthday with him. The restaurant is very cozy. The level of attention we received was just right. The food as always is outstanding. I plan to go again. I'm a big fan of Mediterranean cuisine."

Came to Koutouki as a group on a
Friday night. We were seated immediately and our server was always available whenever we needed him. They never rushed us and all of the staff were extremely friendly. They had belly dancers that night which was entertaining. Only downside would be that the food was a little too overpriced for the portion sizes you get."

This was my first time at this
restaurant, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Standard Greek food, but hearty and tasty and lots of it. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. The ambience is lovely, like a Greek island. We were lucky that it was a beautiful, warm evening so we were able to enjoy the lovely patio."

This night was amazing. Food was
absolutely fantastic. Atmosphere was awesome. Had a great time will be back for sure."

Koutouki's never fails to please.
The food was as usual fantastic and the service was exceptional. Very friendly staff and good food. Ordered too much as usual but always good for take out!!!"

I have been to this location twice
now. The first time was only 'okay' so I decided to give it a try a second time. Their customer service is terrible. Will not return or recommend this location."
Dined on 6/28/2013
The southside Koutouki Taverna was
fantastic. The waiter was quite knowledgeable and did not hover around our table too much through the night. We decided to have the Meze meal, and it was great! All 4 of the dips were enjoyable with great bread, the meat was well flavored, and the portions were also very good. We also shared a bottle Tsantali Metoxix which was a wonderful accompaniment. The night was not cheap, but for a special occasion it is a great location."

Waiter was attentive Food was
delivered fast Humous was good Greek salad was great Chicken breast was good, rice was good, potato was great. Cheese cake was fantastic, very light after such a big meal."

Great Lunch Menu. Great atmosphere
and Traditional Blue/White Greek Decor and comfortable seating. Would reccommend for dinner as well."

Absolutely one of the best
birthday experiences for my Mother ever. Service was exceptionally friendly and efficient. Excellent food. We were there on a Friday with the belly dancer, and the staff were fantastic with bringing everyone complimentary ouzo shots. We were able to have our own little dance party with the belly dancer to celebrate my Mom's birthday. Amazing. Thank you so so much."
Dined on 5/17/2013
Patio is lovely on a warm night
and we were told that if it got cold they could easily move us inside. Belly Dancer was tons of fun. We had some issues with the food. The steak, salmon, lamb and chicken were all overcooked. The greek salad was good, not enough feta for our liking. The pita and dips were good, not enough difference in their taste. The dolmades and meatballs and spanakopita were better than rest of food. The baclava and the chocolate cake were soggy, yikes.. Our waiter was wonderful, food not his fault.."

Love the food! Has an energetic
atmosphere that is fun and entertaining. If you are looking for romance...unfortunately an overly persistent belly dancer decreases the chance of this (Weekend nights). It is too bad she cannot read body language. My wife and I were engaged in a conversation and she still came to us and forced her way in to shove her pelvis in my face. Food was great...as always!"

A terrific evening out! The food,
service and atmosphere was excellent and energetic! Would highly recommend to others!"
Dined on 4/20/2013
Although a bit loud during
dancing, it was fun and the food great."
Dined on 2/2/2013
The food was outstanding, quantity
generous and nice ppresentation. Service hot and cold. Very friendly atmosphere. Fairly expensive. Overall nice evening would return again."
Dined on 2/1/2013
Been here several times but was
surprised to see the place practically vacant at 7 PM on a Saturday night. That's the only reason it was quiet! The food was good (as it usually is) but the service was only adequate at best. We will certainly go back as I think the restaurant was experiencing a post holiday slowdown."
Dined on 1/5/2013
Went here to celebrate a birthday
and everything is fabulous! The decor is great and it feels like you are in Greece. The food is very authentic and there is plenty of choice ! Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves an experience when your dining or to someone who enjoys trying international food!"

New Years Eve was fantastic! Great
fun, great food and super service!!"
Dined on 12/31/2012
We ate here on New Years Eve
before the restaurants advertised New Years Eve party started, the restaurant was fairly loud but it's that kind of place so it's expected. We enjoyed excellent Caesars and Martinis before dining on a variety of dishes including the Saganaki (great), Sikotakia (if you like liver it's great, if not its ok), Calamari (highly recommend), Greek ribs (very tasty), and Moussaka (good but had better). We paired the food with a bottle of 2007 Skalani Syrah which we enjoyed very much. The service was excellent and when the party at the restaurant started we were moved to another table that was better then our first one in my opinion. We enjoyed this lively and cozy restaurant and will return."
Dined on 12/31/2012
I went with a group for NYE and it
was great. I personally prefer the downtown location as the tables are not so close together, but the service was great, even our water glasses were full throughout the night. Great food, great decor. I highly recommend the meze for groups of 4 or more."
Dined on 12/31/2012
I was very disappointed upon the
arrival of the slouvaki I ordered. For the cost of 34.00 I received one small skewer of chicken and two mounds of rice. There were no potatoes or vegetables to be had. While it was good, certainly not worth the price. My partner fared better with some variety offered with his meal. I have been to much better."
