Interesting mileau with areas divided providing some privacy and romanticism. Attentive and friendly waiters. The food is delicious and well prepared. Great food, dim lighting, great ambiance and helpful, friendly waiters. The menu has a varied selection and the cold and hot tea is wonderful. It was a little stuffy and warm when we got there, but the AC was turned immediately when I pointed out how warm it was--the waiter was noticeably warm as well. Location is amazing, as we love Martini's Above 4th, which we went to right after--just a quick elevator ride up. Will be coming to Kous Kous again and again in the near future. Just make sure and call in to reserve a table, ESPECIALLY on the weekends. We went on a Tuesday so it was less crowded and no wait! The ambiance was great and the servers, attentative! The flavors are exceptional. I always recommend any of the sides! It was perfect for a romantic dinner for two, but I also saw small groups having a good time. Love the ambiance and the set up. Lighting is on the darker side and the seating is all couches, loveseats and ottomans where we sat. The special drinks were excellent and the beer list is sufficient for the guys.
The food is out of this world!! I had the fish special tagine and my date had the chicken tagine, and both were finger-licking delicious, we cleaned our plates. We will definately be back and possibly go to Morocco! We spend 2.5 hours there as a couple and had no idea how time passed. I booked a reservation because one reviewer recommended them for Fri/Sat nights. We went Friday at 6:15pm. At that time there was still plenty of open seating but the place did fill up during our time there. So, I'd agree you should make a reservation if you're planning on eating after 6:30pm.
Our waiter was super friendly and asked if we'd eated Moroccan before which we had not. He was more than happy to give us the run down of the menu, how Moroccan food is prepared, etc. plus some terrific recommendations. We went with much of what he suggested & everything was delicious!

The only not so great part is i asked for a quiet area since it was just two of us and it was nice and quiet for a while since we were the only ones at the restaurant, then a family came and sat down in the table right next to us (even tho every single other table was free at the time) and they were pretty loud.
