Have been to KORQ a few times now for Wine Wed. It's a great little spot (former Soho), little noisy on patio but much brighter inside now. Servers were attentive and appies were very good. And the $5/glass wine selection until 6 PM is great.

The night started out great, the manager even removed one of the dishes from the bill because it wasn't made well. But when we reordered some more appies and they didn't arrive, we were told the kitchen was closed for the night. No notice given, that the kitchen closes at a certain time, by now it is 10:30. Then we noticed the tables were getting moved behind us, and we were getting looks from the patrons. So we asked what was going on tonight and told that it was Latin night. So we told our server that we'll be more than happy to move so they can start dancing, and the comment given was "well you guys are done anyhow right", ummm I don't think we had asked for the bill yet. But after having another drink it was time to leave, all 10 of us.

We specifically picked Korq for it's menu online as we had a few people in our group that are vegan. When we got there the menu was a third of the size with nothing that would accommodate the vegan guests. The waitress said they were in the process of switching over their menu for the new chef. It was disappointing to only find this out that night, especially since we were there with a large group for a special event. Good side the food that we did order tasted great and the wine list was large but overpriced. I would not go back.

I was concerned by other comments about the service but I had no trouble. The staff were pleasant, service was good and the food was tasty. I had two concerns that kept me from giving Korq a higher rating. First, the restaurant looks great but there is a faint odor of stale bar as I walked in that was off-putting. I assume this is residual from years of other after-work drinking venues but I found it surprising. Second, I like my protein so when I pay $5 to add it to a salad I like to see some protein on there. The shrimp was tasty but three smaller-sized tail-on shrimp didn't satisfy. The burgers look fabulous and I will definitely give it another try. They were great about feeding me within my lunch-hour time limit. Good potential here.

Wow! That was absolutely brutal. While the food and wine were good, that was completely masked by the ridiculous table we were given by the bathrooms! Even though made a reservation and expressed our interest to sit in a more social area we were told no; as we gazed at empty tables. Service was some of the worst I've ever had, sad part is they seemed clueless that there is an issue. Won't be going back nor recommending this place! Were did common sense in customer service go? You've got some work to do to train your people and empower them to create better experiences for your customers.

While I must say our server was very pleasant and attentive, the overall service from the kitchen was terrible (upper floor lunch area). We ordered our meal at about 12:20 pm and it took about 50 minutes to get our lunch. While the restaurant offered us a free desert by the time we were done eating it was nearly 2:00 pm and we all had to get back to work. Doubt we'll be back, which is too bad because the menu looked pretty inviting.

The food was amazing but our server was a bit forgetful as she forgot to bring my wine. I asked about it and she said it's coming right up but came back almost 20 minutes later saying she forgot to ring it in and couldn't remember what wine we wanted. Other than that it was a good experience.

For all the hype that this place had I was not very impressed, reservation was at six we showed up at six on time like normal people do when they make reservations. The staff was in the middle of a team meeting, they were barely even ready to be open! there was no music on they didn't even have ice yet.... Yes apparently they have to go elsewhere out of the restaurant to get ice and the waitress said to me oh sorry we don't normally have reservations this early! that was her excuse, hello do you not open at 6:00? Long story short I would not go back.

When making reservations at Korq Winehouse and Kitchen, I made the assumption that this would be the ideal place to have tapas and great wine. Walking in to the restaurant, it looks more like a sports bar/pub then a wine house. The servers, although friendly, didn't know the first thing about the wine they were selling. Each day they have a "special".The day we went, you were to receive a free desert if you spent more then $50.( which we did on the wine alone) When we brought it up to the server, she said the $50 applied to the food only and we were not eligible. No where on the menu did it state that. Although a $10 dessert wasn't a "make or break" addition- the confrontation with the server just added to the disappointment.

Went for dinner during the week, ended up being very quiet.... by quiet I mean in the 90 minutes we were there they were three other tables. Was a bit uncomfortable since you could hear everyones private conversations. Server knew alot about the wine list, although many were sold out! Food was ok, would be better for couple of drinks with a bigger group.

We had been there on a couple occasions and it was great, this last time we were there is was terrible. the food was discusting the service was beyond slow it took 45 minutes to get 2 sandwhiches with steamed vegatable (or soup depends or your interpretation as the steamed vegtables arrived in an inch of liquid.) We ordered a bottle of sparking water at 12:00 it arrived at 12:25. The management didn't seem overly worried about the terrible service. Insted of worring about the cheap dress code they should concentrate on training and serving etiquette.

1st experience: host directs me to a table, server approaches & asks 'Do you have a reservation? You're sitting at a reserved table.' 'I was seated here?' Server says, 'You can't sit here, it's reserved', yet I was the ONLY guest there at a table in the middle of the room. 2nd chance: I ask if salad I chose had onions - "Because I really, really, don't like them, so you're sure they're none in there?" & was assured there wasn't. When server does the quality check, I hadn't discovered any yet. Next bite - finely diced red onion throughout. My guests finish, I've barely touched mine. 'Want that wrapped?' 'No, it has onions.' 'No it doesn't, that's fennel'. 'Uh, no it's not.' 'Want another one?' when everyone's finished doesn't help...

We were seated on the top floor, where there were no other patrons on a Friday night. There was a very sub-par wine selection; they call themselves a wine house but only had four bottles of wine by the glass to choose from. I ordered what tasted like a house red and when I got the bill, it was $18 for a 6 ounce glass. I will never go back to this restaurant.

We visited for lunch - bday lunch for 2. The upstairs was not very spacious. Walking through the main section was a little uncomfortable since we both had to shift our bodies sideways to walk through without hitting someone's chair on one side or an arm while they were eating. The food was bland - pulled beef...not very flavorful. My friend had the margheritta pizza and that was boring - not crispy enough - tasted like hospital food. We could also hear a loud and obnoxious want-to-be Chef Ramsey screaming at the others - uncomfortable!!! I had also ordered a chocolate cake for my friend - had specifically asked to have it brought over immediately after lunch and that was 15 minutes late and it was dry and NOT worth it. *Blah*

I was looking forward to trying a new place, despite the reviews, to form my own opinion. Firstly, Korq does not live up to its "Winebar" name given that there could only have been about 20 bottles of wine on their huge winerack wall! A business luncheon with 8 attendees, we were sat in the lounge, as were the other handful of diners. The entire upstairs remained vacant. The menu was interesting enough, though the food was nothing special...just "fine". Three of our group ordered Korq's take on butter chicken and there was a very obvious difference in the amount of chicken in each dish. Two ordered the(deconstructed) nicoise salad and one of the plates came without the egg! How can you mess that up? The servers were good.

Somehow my reservation had switched days but Korq still took the time to set us up with a spot. We requested waters and couple bottles of wine and three appetizers to start. Server came back three times telling us that they did not have the selection of wine. Her exact words had been “we do not have a lot of our Reds in right now”. Well we waited to find a wine it was over 15 mins before we even got water. The waitress spilled wine on on of the parties shirts and had to be asked to get club soda. She tired to collect menus before we ordered our main meals. I have very mixed feelings about if I will return to Korq. The food was very good.. Two Coke had been ordered one came in a short scotch glass the other had to be reordered. Much more.

This was my third visit to Korq. First two visits were with other couples and the food was excellent on both occasions. On our second visit I had the pork tenderloin special & my husband had whitefish, & friends had the bouillabaisse - all excellent, although no bread was served with the seafood stew, to enjoy with the tasty broth. On this last visit, we had a large group of 11 on a Wednesday night, so not terribly busy. Service was incredibly slow and most of our appetizers and entrees were served fairly cold. My husband's fig & walnut salad (a special) arrived well after all other entrees. The waitress did not even offer us coffee or a look at the dessert menu just brought the bill. Not suited for serving large groups, I surmise.

Food was flavourless we had 3 dishes and did not like any. Got the impression through the website it was a more intimate romantic setting but it was cold and modern and loud. Website said there were drink specials server told is there were not. Website also gave the impression of high end tasters of wine you could purchase, however server told us they do not do that anymore either. All in all very poor experience.

I went to Korq for a business lunch. We were promptly seated, had good, attentive service, and good food. We had a nice Caesar Salad with grilled chicken and a very nice blackened fish sandwich. The fish was well spiced and cooked just right - slightly rare. All in all it was a good lunch. I'm sure that I would go back for lunch or for a drink after work but I’d be cautious of going for a dinner as the atmosphere was more bar than restaurant and even at lunch time it was already quite loud.
