  • "We always enjoy going to Kona Grill. The apps are amazing. We had Sashimi really done well and sweet and spicy shrimp are great. The amount of choices are on the smaller side, but they change so everything we have tried there has been really good. The service is great too. The bar staff needs to pick it up, but they are attentive. They are not bartenders that you would expect in this type of place. They can pour a drink, but they are not really helpful."

  • "Booked reservation on Open Table for a Saturday night dinner for two without a problem. Asked for and finally and received a nice quiet booth and our drinks. (Tip: if you want a booth, ask for a booth on Open Table!) We had a coconut shrimp roll which was delicious! The fried Calamari was average, but fresh. I ordered Hawaiian Ribeye which was excellent and enough to take home. My husband ordered the jambalaya, which was good, but super, super spicy. Great service even though our waitress had a large party nearby. Sushi bar has huge salt water aquarium as a backdrop and it is spectacular!"

  • "My wife and I had dinner with another couple here on a Saturday night. Good place to have sushi or and entree. Appetizers were ok but sushi was very good and the miso sea bass was excellent. I highly recommend sharing a roll and an entree so you can try a little bit of both. Prices are not cheap but not unreasonable. Give it a try if you are in the area."

  • "Saturday night was crowded but they honored our 7:15pm reservation on time. However, it took about 30 minutes to get our drink order taken once we sat down. We had a slow start to dinner but once the drinks and appetizer order was taken, service picked up. Outstanding food: sweet and spicy shrimp and the pot sticker appetizers, Pork Tenderloin entree, brownie dessert Good food: soft shell crab sliders - Good but it was not hot, just sorta warm or room temperature. The fries that came with it were an embarrassingly small amount. I think they should have put about double the amount on the plate. apple bread pudding dessert."

  • "5 of us met for dinner on a Saturday night and we all ordered different things: sushi, calamari, macadamia nut chicken, pad thai, pan asian noodles and meat loaf. We all enjoyed our meals thoroughly and the Asian female server we had was energetic, helpful and friendly. We will go back."

  • "We usually love Kona Grill - typically sit at Sushi Bar and eat and have never had a bad experience. Friday night my steak was supposed to be medium and it was well done and first I was given the wrong order completely. We just won't be coming there next year on Valentine's Day - too many people eat out on that day so we are not really faulting Kona Grill which is why I would still recommend it to anyone with no qualms!"

  • "My wife and I love going to Kona and just sitting in the bar area eating sushi rolls and drinking wine. The noise level is low enough to have a nice conversation without yelling. Service is always fantastic and friendly. When ordering dessert for two people, 1 will be plenty. They are HUGE. Ultimate brownie and cream brûlée are the favorites. Red velvet cake used to have traditional southern creme frosting, but they changed it to a cream cheese frosting and ruined it. In the summer look forward to sitting out on the bar patio with the windows open."

Sushi was excellent and jambalaya tooooooo spicy to a point where each bite provoked coughing in order to digest....and we're from New Orleans! Head to Pappadeaux's for cajun fix, steer clear of hawaiian fusion environments to hit a jambalaya dish...but Kona is yum and we'll definitely visit again, great interior decor with great privacy spacing for tables, sexy lighting lends itself to a great romantic spot."

  • "Kona grill is a great place to take a special someone for good food and some an enjoyable evening or fancy lunch. The price point is reasonable for the experience and the food tasted very good. Both of us that dinned liked our food very much. One of us had a fish dish that was very well done and was presented very well on the plate, and the other had a brie and apple flatbread that was absoluetly fantastic. This isn't a place that is good for dinner every night, but for a nicer dinner once a week or month, Kona Grill is great."

  • "Went on a friday night with a group of 8. Reservation changed last minute to 8 from 6 manager and staff were very accommodating which we appreciated. Service was ok- server kept forgetting items we ordered my egg rolls came out with my dinner only after I asked if I was still going to get them. Food was just ok we had a variety from sandwiches, pad Thai, sushi rolls and the ribeye. The ribeye was awful way over cooked and after the service was so bad with getting the appetizers and drinks out we didn't say anything"

  • "We have a family with a variety of tastes. This is one of the few places that makes both our Sushi lover and our Pasta/Pizza lover happy. Three of us enjoyed the sushi - they are good sized pieces. They have a simple but well selected wine list. Some of our favorites including Kim Crawford, Ferrari-Carano, and Sonoma Cutrer. We tried a raspberry martini which was quite tasty. And our Pasta/Pizza lover tried a pasta dish. Turned out there it was too heavy on the pepper for our son (although very well put together). Kona offered to get him a new dish - cheese pizza at no charge. That was going beyond helpful, and it came very fast which allowed us all to eat together. Thank you Kona for making a potentially sad son, happy."

  • "Good prompt service, started with the calamari which was excellent followed by the soft shell crab sliders which were severely under par, dry and did not taste much of crab, lastly we had the Philadelphia sushi rolls which were great. Would definitely come back for the sushi however I would be skeptical of the other entrees on the menu."

  • "This has been a favorite restaurant since college, out-of-state. At a 35 minute drive, it's worth it. The food is always fresh, the portions are very reasonable, and the service is great. This is a great place for a group or date, because of the menu's diversity. High-quality sushi meets steak, pork, and chicken, to keep any pallet happy."

Everyone raves about the food and there is something on the menu for everyone. They certainly have some great selection of fish and sushi, but doesn't leave out the person looking for a good steak. I come once a month and have had nothing but positive experiences."

  • "I was very disappointed with the food. I had the Asian noodles; the beef was not good quality (it was suppose to be beef tenderloin), and the overall dish was WAY TOO salty. There was too much fat on my son's Hawaiian rib eye, and the other two dishes ordered were also not good. We went there to celebrate a birthday, and needless to say, the choice of restaurant was not the best part of the celebration. My family like to try new places, and having passed this restaurant on numerous occasions, we decided to give it a try. Try we did, and we will never good back again."

  • "The service was extremely slow on Saturday night. The first waitress said she would be right back, never returned to take drink orders, ten minutes later we asked another waiter to help us. I don’t like the waiter - waitress taking your order followed by the runners delivering the food. Our two appetizers cane out at different times and we had to wait on one of our entrees."
