The patio & bar portion of the restaurant was hopping with a "happy hour" crowd. We were seated right away, in the indoor section. Our waiter was attentive and cheerful. We had fried calamari and a soft crab sushi roll as appetizers, a martini and a glass of wine. The calamari & sushi were excellent. The martini was watered down. My husband had the mahi-mahi special and a small caesar. I had a small house salad only and saved the sushi roll to eat as my entree. They served the salads and entree all at the same time and the fish got cold while we ate our salads. The fish and vegetables were cooked perfectly. The chef knows what he's doing. I went for a sandwich the chicken caprese and the flavours were amazing. Service was timely. Dessert (Red velvet) was delicious and devoured by 3 of us. It's a favourite birthday place. Have several unigue shusi and shashimi creations as well as a shusi bar.
