Diner Reviews
  • "I am definitely a sushi fan, but when dining with people who may not be into it, Kokoro gives so many other choices. Two members of our dining party opted for the 'Volcanic' Rock dinners and loved it. My octopus carpaccio was delicious. We'll definitely go back again."

  • "Amongst Italian restaurants and an Irish Pub in the European Village in Palm Coast, sits Kokoro with an Asian flair. Great sushi and tempura and many other dishes for those not so inclined for Japanese cuisine. Good selection of wines and a full bar with moderate drink prices. Outdoor seating available. Worth a visit."

  • "We went for dinner on Valentine's Day and had to wait for them to clean our table before we sat down. When we did finally sit down, the table was wet. The room they sat us in was cramped and the chairs looked like they were made of plastic. Smoke from the kitchen filled the air through our entire dinner. It took a good 20-30 minutes for our waitress to show up. She never introduced herself, just asked for what we wanted. We ordered a bottle of wine. Ten minutes later, the bottle of wine came out but we had to wait for our wine glasses to be cleaned. We'd been seated for well over an hour before our appetizer came. The food was pretty good but the service kind of ruined everything. No one ever apologized for anything."

  • "Even if you're not a fan of Japanese food, Kokoro has menu items to please everyone. Inventive sushi rolls - delicious. In good weather, outside seating in the courtyard is also available."

  • "My husband and I went here to celebrate our anniversary. Very friendly staff, but our waitress was kind of slow and not very friendly. She didn't recommend anything or tell us how anything worked. Other tables seemed to have nice staff though, so it must have just been an off night. The food was good though and we had a wonderful evening."

  • "We have gone to Kokoro at other times and ordered sushi which was very good but on New Years Day they had a fixed menu that was not to our liking. My husband ordered salad that he found to small and ordered a second one. I ordered miso soup that was tasty but at other restaurants in the area we are given both but here you had to chose. We ordered sushi and found the rice didn't have the texture we were use to by the previous owner that we like so much. We were limited by the fixed menu and would have preferred ordering our favorite sushi, We felt the $55 per person was not worth the meal."
