I went with a dozen people and we ordered the lunch special. 12 for a soup maki roll and a main dish. Everything was delicious. Lots of variety for meat eaters a little more limited for veg. But still doable. You can order regular menu too. Nice wait staff! brought 12 individual bills when the meal was over.

Went here for NU family weekend and the parentals were very impressed, not too fancy but not too casual. Also priced well for bringing your parents but not breaking the bank. Would definitely go back here for a birthday dinner, date, other special occasions.

I have never been a big fan of Chinese or Asian food. But, after finding Koi--it's one of my eating experiences. Be warned that once you have eaten at Koi, you'll never want to order out at your local Chinese take-out. The quality of the food at Koi is so far and above that of the usual that it's not even fair to compare the two. Suffice it to say--try Koi and discover the REAL Asian food experience.

when Koi first opened, we loved it for the modern yet cozy decor and the fresh, perfectly-prepared food. The ambiance is still great and the waitstaff is friendly, if a bit absent-minded, but the food is now oily and tasteless. Even the satay was fried, and the steamed dumplings were dried out (although the dipping sauces were excellent). Hoping they can turn things around!

We celebrated a friend's birthday at Koi recently and it was a delicious experience for all of us. The $12 lunch combo is a great deal, with soup, maki roll and entree all included for that great price. Two of the group were not experienced with any type of sushi so the shrimp tempura maki was just the right choice for them. The chef's presentation was artful and the maki rolls were quite tasty. I had the basil chicken--a real treat. Thank you also for the ice cream and won ton dessert, candle and all, for our birthday friend. We will be back!

We came to Koi to celebrate my daughter's 15th birthday. The food was good and we had a nice, long table that allowed us to not only bring a flourless chocolate birthday cake from Bennison's (it was nice that they let us do that) but bring a few gifts to open after dinner. As usual, I'd forgotten how noisy Koi could be, but we eventually adjusted to the volume. I'm generally a pretty generous tipper, but I was surprised when Koi automatically added a 20% charge for our group of six. I guess I would have added that anyhow as its my usual custom for decent service. With grownups imbibing freely, it was not an inexpensive evening, but we had a great time and except for the noise level, the vibe was good.

My wife and I met our daughter at Koi on a recent Friday night. It had been a few years since we dined at Koi. But after our experience, we'll return VERY soon! I had the walnut shrimp entree and my wife ordered chicken pad Thai. We requested both entrees be prepared low sodium and each arrived perfectly. My daughter ordered sushi and also enjoyed her dinner. Portions are generous. Service was excellent. When we sent a salad and appetizer back because it wasn't to our liking, our server asked if we'd like them redone or if we wished to order something else. When we said no and when the check arrived, the two items were already taken off. A nice surprise! So yes, we'll return to Koi soon and bring our friends.

The noise level was so loud that we had to shout our conversation to each other. It was just very much too noisey. The service was extremely slow and everyone's meal and/or appetizers came out at different times. Two of the soups we ordered were completely forgotten. The food was just mediocre. This restaurant would never survive in Chinatown, its food bearing no taste like authentic pan-asian food except for the sushi which was well prepared and attractive but all the different types of sushi tasted the same.

The food here is always top-notch and this visit confirmed our conviction that we can always eat delicious dishes of the highest quality at Koi. The service is great. This time I reserved a table for two, but an unexpected guest arrive; so we had three for dinner. Although the restaurant was completely full, the staff accommodated our entire party with graciousness and charm.

Made reservations on opentable & placed in comment box for highchair (that was not done) .Went there for lunch and order the one lunch special which includes soup/sushi/ dish. Sushi came after the dish was finished.... The menu is too large for them to handle (included dim sum) they were out of stuff. Again service for lunch time shouldn't be like this --- can imagine what dinner service would be. I'm a very patient person but this is too much.

Good selections of different types of Chinese food-- great dimsum selection as well. Xiaolongbao and veggie dumplings were excellent, especially the dipping sauces. Server was nice but not the most attentive-- missed our two empty beer glasses entirely. He also did not have much to say when asked for recommendations. The space is clean, modern, and pleasing to look at.

Food and service were terrific but two separate tables of rowdy patrons on a Saturday night made the dining experience very unpleasant. Finally management, used a sliding wall comprised of wood and glass to reduce the noise level from one table but a similar fix was not available for the other noisy table. Fortunately, that table left during the middle of our meal so that we could have a reasonably tranquil second half.

I have been to Koi once before, several years ago, and after returning there this weekend, I wondered why I have not been back sooner! The food is superb. The service is superb. The ambiance is superb. I will there again SOON. Not your average Chinese food (huge menu of options, with dishes from 8 regions of China, plus the traditional Chinatown menu), but priced just above takeout, believe it or not. I highly recommend it for all ages, families, dates, occasions ...

We dined early for lunch at Koi and really had a great experience. The waiter was attentive but not overly so. Appetizers were tasty, as was the delicious Basil Chicken entree that I had. Although the outcome was excellent "getting" there was not easy. Front of the restaurant was packed so we were led to the back room (630 reservations). Table was not suitable for my dining partner and she had us moved to a 2-top that was a bench and chair facing each other. The person that sits on the bench (me) sits several inches higher than the person in the chair. After we stopped laughing and realized we were sitting next to a very loud party of 6 we moved to the sushi bar. Will sit here from now on. Very fun, funny and educating experience. Enjoy!

Overal - average. Long menu of Chinese entries with some details on ingredients. Disappointing seafood combination (also its probably hard to expect more if a freezer played the role of the "sea"). Good but not outstanding Szechwan pork. Too noisy when your for "party of 2" is next to a big company table. Friendly and young crew may be the most attractive part of experience. Free parking on a street in couple of blocks. Definitely not bad, but if you are not familiar with the Chinese cousin this place probably won't ignite your interest.

We will not be returning until Koi gets it kitchen staff together again. What a catastrophe! Waitstaff stretched to too many tables. Never offered drinks, tea or dessert. Food took 50 minutes to be served-soup included! Food served luke warm, over cooked fried (?) chicken satay, fried dumplings gooey and hard around the edges, browning lettuce for the wraps! We did receive an apology and 25% off of our bill. Koi was one of my favorite go-to Asian restaurants. Not so much anymore.

Service was slow. Our waiter kept forgetting about us when it came to ordering food and drinks. He also forgot basics like necessary silverware and soy sauce. Annoying. Food was ok. The server recommended one appetizer that came with 3 pieces when we had 5 people. Eh. My sesame chicken was dry and lacking sauce. Beautiful restaurant, but ultimately disappointing.
