A word from Koi - Bryant Park
Rich earth tones of orange, red and brown impart warmth to the cool and tranquil space. Thin tapestries of translucent rose fabric are embellished with flame motifs and suspended from the ceiling, creating a separate seating area perfect for a light bite near the large front windows.
Famous for its unique and mouth-watering interpretation of Japanese cuisine. Upscale Japanese fare is given a jolt of new life through an innovative use of ingredients, resulting in refreshing and exciting flavor combinations. Crispy Rice with Spice Tuna, an addictive version of the classic spicy tuna roll, featuring warm grilled rice topped with a thick layer of cool, savory tuna. Baked Crab Roll, for which succulent fresh crabmeat is wrapped in a thin rice crepe paper dotted with sesame seeds and baked to perfection. Hamachi Fusion with Soy-Citrus and Truffle Essence all artfully plated by Koi’s skilled culinary team.

  • "The food was served so that it looked very appetizing, for the most part. The specialty rolls were served on separate plates but the regular maki was all served on the same plate and looked a little overcrowded. The best dish, by far, was the baked lobster roll. The service was very quick and attentive. Although, the servers did not go above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Overall, the price is a little high for the quality of the sushi. The spicy tuna roll was made with the freshest fish of all. The tempura rolls were slightly greasy and did not have a light crispy coating. The dessert, chocolate banana spring rolls, were rich and very well executed. The spring roll was crunchy, yet, not too greasy or overdone."

  • "I've had many enjoyable business lunches at Koi. This week I took my son for lunch while on vacation and, not sure if it was b/c we were dressed like tourists, but we had a very different experience. Our reservation was at 11:45 (ie early). The hostess took several before us although we were next. She asked us to wait (not sure why) as more guests arrived and were seated Finally a man came to seat us (we thought) and instead said our name to 2 businessmen and sat them instead (they didn't correct him). I had to go back to the aloof hostess and without apology got someone else to seat us. To be fair, our waiter was nice and the food good, but the experience was souring, So much so, I'm not sure I will return for business lunches."

  • "Attentive service, great food, and not as expensive as I feared. My husband and I had our anniversary dinner here last week and it was indeed a special experience. A salad, 2 appetizers (spicy crunchy tuna and Kobe potstickers) and an entree (spicy braised short ribs) is quite enough for 2 people. Service - hostesses, waiters, busboys) was surprisingly friendly. I had expected hipster snobbery given that Koi is a hotspot these days. The spicy crunchy tuna and spicy braised short ribs are not to be missed! Try to go on the early side (before 8) for a quieter experience."

  • "Went to have lunch with a couple of people. Seated in a table at the back. There was so much noise that at a point we were about to walk out. Poor services, rather pricey, ok food. Unless good for drinks, it is a place that I will avoid. Unless you work next door and is raining, try elsewhere."

  • "Very expensive but definitely worth it; I didn't get much because I got full so quickly. I had crispy rice to start off, which was amazing. Anyone going to koi, HAS to get the crispy rice (extra spicy mayo on the side to add to the wonderful taste it already has). Than I had spicy tuna rolls which were absolutely delicious. For dessert, we had mango mochi which was to die for and the banana spring rolls. I wasn't too crazy about the banana spring rolls but that may be because I'm not a fan of chocolate and it has chocolate inside of it. Anyways, I will most definitely be making a trip back."

Warm greeting, table ready when we arrived, very friendly AND helpful server (the menu is extensive and for many daunting) we had a fairly large group and wanted to taste many varieties and flavors. That we did. the was nothing served that was less than fabulous. some things we ate were so tasty and well done that they were incredible. I have eaten at Koi many times on both coasts. I never cease to be amazed at the wonderful things they do with food. It helps if you can eat raw sushi, but you have a plethora of cooked fish and non-fish and vegetable items if you are sushi-phobic. not for the faint of wallet..."

  • "I was here for a business lunch. The reservation was for 1 and we were seated promptly. The waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. All of the food, from the appetizers all the way to dessert was excellent. The crispy rice w/ spicy tuna, lobster taco, & crispy calamari salad were some of my favorite dishes. When we first arrived, the place was packed and very loud. It was actually a little hard to hear across the table, but the crowd died down by 2 and it as much quieter. I'd start my lunch a little later if possible next time, but otherwise Koi is highly recommended."

  • "One of the best dining experiences in NYC. Loved the setting and ambience. For a NYC restaurant, it was spacious, modern, and most importantly offered much privacy in dining; i.e. tables not elbow to elbow like other NYC restaurants. The service was impeccable, they are professional and respectful in that they don't "over serve" you. Food was excellent, from the crispy rice and eggplant we had as appetizers, to the 4 different entrées ordered by us. We love Roy's in Hawaii and Koi reminded us of Roy's, although both are unique. We frequently visit NYC and definitely will be back!"

  • "Upon arriving I was greeted by a sharply dressed hostess. She brought us to the upstairs dining area. The decor is modern deco/with Asian flare. We choose to many of the intriguing appetizers. I would highly recommend the Edamame Dumplings with lobster and shataki mushrooms. One of my favorites also was the Kobe beef Carpaccio'.I Pared it with a Light Pinot noir' and the flavors were dancing. Over all a wonderful dining experience."

  • "The food and service is always impeccable! We have been coming back for years. The spicy shrimp tempura, tuna tartar, Koi crispy rice and kobe style pot stickers are all must try appetizers. All sushi rolls are fantastic as well. If you like sweet (but not too sweet) cocktails - definitely get a lychee martini. They are delicious and go down very easy! Be sure to make a reservation and enjoy!"

  • "I really like this place. It was my second time at Koi and the crispy rice is to die for. I normally don't even eat much fish of anything, but tried the crispy rice when I went the first time because my friend urged me to. And it was sooo good that I had to come back. The filet mignon was excellent as was the flourless molton chocolate cake. I also love that they have gluten-free options since I am wheat sensitive. The only downsides are that it is a bit pricey and that it is not that comfortable when you sit in one of the booth-like half round spaces with four people. Overall our dinner group really enjoyed the experience though ans I would definitely go back for more crispy rice :)"

  • "Koi has delicious food and wonderful service! We had hamachi carpaccio, a tuna and salmon roll with special sauce, and tuna with sticky rice for appetizers. My husband had a red snapper special for his entree. It was steamed and therefore very healthy. I had a Chilean sea bass entree which was good, but it was swimming in soy sauce so I had to put it on a different plate! We were late and in a big rush to go to the theater, but our server handled the situation beautifully so we were able to eat everything before we had to leave. We used to go to this restaurant all the time, but we had not been there for a few years. We were glad to eat there again."
