A word from Koi - Bryant Park
Rich earth tones of orange, red and brown impart warmth to the cool and tranquil space. Thin tapestries of translucent rose fabric are embellished with flame motifs and suspended from the ceiling, creating a separate seating area perfect for a light bite near the large front windows.
Famous for its unique and mouth-watering interpretation of Japanese cuisine. Upscale Japanese fare is given a jolt of new life through an innovative use of ingredients, resulting in refreshing and exciting flavor combinations. Crispy Rice with Spice Tuna, an addictive version of the classic spicy tuna roll, featuring warm grilled rice topped with a thick layer of cool, savory tuna. Baked Crab Roll, for which succulent fresh crabmeat is wrapped in a thin rice crepe paper dotted with sesame seeds and baked to perfection. Hamachi Fusion with Soy-Citrus and Truffle Essence all artfully plated by Koi’s skilled culinary team.

Dinner for 7 - celebrating two friend's birthdays. Good service and food. Must have the crispy rice yellow tail and tuna, the mushroom spinach salad, the short ribs which were so tender and for dessert would recommend the banana spring rolls. Would come visit again...

I organized a 30th birthday party for 7 people at Koi Bryant Park. Easy to reserve on opentable and when I called to talk through what to do for dessert for the birthday person, the restaurant was very helpful and accommodating. The night of the meal, the hostess and server were very helpful. The server helped select a variety of dishes, and directed us perfectly on the amounts. She was very attentive throughout. I had a great experience!

Waitress was condescending. Food was SOOOO greasy on the outside and dry on the inside.( pot stickers) and the price was ridiculous ! ( $20 for 5??? REALLY ? ) I am not a kid, I'm in my early 60's and I have never been treated like that in a restaurant. A bit more respect is needed! I will never go back.

It's yet another modern Asian restaurant, dark and noisy, efficient service, expensive. But the food is simply not good enough. It ranges from dull to unpleasant, and fails to give that moment of delight which you expect in such a place. From at least one dish! There are plenty of other, similar restaurants to choose from in NYC and any big city these days: if this is the sort of food you want, go elsewhere!

We took a couple clients to dinner recently and needed a hip, good restaurant with a midtown location. Koi was perfect - Beautiful location right across the street from Bryant Park. The food was delicious, esp the crispy rice! I highly recommend their special rolls too. The vibe is fun, not stuffy or corporate. I will definitely be back.

I came here for my birthday dinner with some family and friends. The food was great. The service we had was okay but it would've been a better experience if the waiter had been more attentive. We saw him bring out the menu, take our orders, bring the food, ask if the food was okay and bring us the check. He didn't seem too friendly or anything.

Enjoy the great food and the very attentive service in this crowded and noisy Bryant Park Hotel restaurant. The Kobe pot stickers, while expensive, are a treat worth experiencing. My wife's short ribs tasted like they had been slow cooked for hours, moist and full of flavor. The star of the meal was the roasted duck breast. Perfectly cooked medium rare and set over lightly grilled peppers, they were tender and delicious. It's apparent why reservations are critical.

As foreign residents, my wife and I were great fans of KOI, and we were looking forward to repeat visits of the restaurant as a highlight of our stay. The food is still excellent, but: 1. There was no indication on the answering machine or the website that the restaurant was closed for Labor Day, our day of choice; 2. One Sunday evening later, most of the sushis we wanted were no longer available, because, we were told, of a private party the previous evening. We look for more dependability than that and will therefore look elsewhere in the future for our Japanese food.

We attended here pre-theatre, at 6:00. The place was virtually empty yet they chose to sit us in a booth behind a pillar. When we asked to move to a different booth they said the others were reserved and moved us to a table. Fine. But when we left at 7:30 the booths were still empty. Koi is overpriced and the food is only adequate (although in fairness my wife loved the blackened cod). The servers were overly attentive to the point of being intrusive. I felt rushed. Plates were zoomed from the table the instant my chopsticks were put down. Serving sizes were small and "precious". The atmosphere was sterile and the background music was strange. I would not go again. Overall, the biggest disappointment of our 5 days in NYC.
