KittichaiMore than meets the eyeWe went here with a group of 6 ladies, and I was convinced we wouldn't be able to make people happy without spending a fortune on individual entrees. Instead, we all decided on small plates and dug in. The restaurant was a little empty when I walked in, which also made me a bit nervous.
There was literally nothing left on any of our plates, some of the best BBQ spare ribs I've ever had, unbelievable spin on lettuce wraps with sausage, and the Tuna Tartar was a special treat. Oh, and the Cauliflower is to die for.
I would skip the entrees -- unless you're just dying for some, and go for the small plates and sides. We ended up spending way less than I expected for 6 people with drinks.
By the time we left, the restaurant was bustling!6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat!I would definitely make a point to go back if we lived in NYC!6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMwent for brunch. food waswent for brunch. food was very good. waitress was sweet and good at refilling drinks. Nice decor. Only fault was the drinks were a tad too sweet and I felt like I was filling up on a lot of sugary calories from the drinks.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMWent here for dinner afterWent here for dinner after passing by. Outdoor area covered by bamboo is very romantic. Our cocktails were fantastic. We got a margarita and Lychee martini. Wine list is small but covers all palates. The appetizers were the highlight of the meal. We got the BBQ ribs-amazing! Also ordered scallops. Very interesting. Ordered two fish dishes for our entrees. Less impressed, but still quite good. If we lived in NYC we would go back again, but were just there for a visit.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMterrific and inventive thai foodSuperb and innovative twist on thai standards. Excellent cocktails and surprisingly reasonably priced for the high quality of the food. Service and ambience is as pretentious as one would expect from a trendy SoHo spot but if ignored, the food is well worth putting up with the condescending waiters.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMThe best dining experienceThe best dining experience we have had in NYC - loved everything! The food and service were amazing.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesomeThe service was great. Had a 7:30 reservation and was seated at that time. The server was outstanding (Elizabeth). The location in combination with the service will have me and my wife attend several more times this year. Don't hesitate to attend!5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat taste explosionWe had high expectations when we came. The room was lovely, the atmosphere was lovely and even the lady taking our order was lovely. We took the tasty menu, 4 dish, and it was very very very good. A lot of food, we almost couldn't finish the dessert, but we had to cuz it was very very very good too. I will absolutely go back to this charming and tasty wonderland!5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMVery nice place.I have been to a lot of Thai restaurants and this is one of the best. The food was lovely and the atmosphere was perfect. Abit pricey but well worth the money.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Brunch ChoiceKittichai is a great brunch choice for any group size. The food is amazing. The ambiance is beautiful. And it's location, right down the street from the heart of Soho, is perfect.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMBeautiful and deliciousI recommend this restaurant because it was lively, beautiful, fun and of course the food and drinks were great.
The only thing I didn't like was that they made us wait at the bar for our table for about 10 min. then as we were seated we saw at least 8 or 9 tables open. I had the feeling they were getting us to buy more drinks that way.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food with great service!Took my wife on a hot romantic date! Food was great and service was very good. As it was our anniversary, they gave us a great booth. We both picked the vegetarian tasting menu that was great. More than enough food. Everything we ate was divine! The only slight criticism I would have us the cocktails are really not too good, but grey have a gear substantive wine list. We artived a little early at 7:30 so it was a bit quite. But by the time we finished the place was packed. Will defiantly be visiting again!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing Thai @ KittichaiWe've dined at Kittichai over a dozen times in the past few years and always had great experiences .. But something was even better at Kittichai this week, this was by far one of the most outstanding meals we've had in many, many months in New York...
Go now!!

The $25 bottomless brunch is brilliant, and the ambience of the restaurant is just beautiful.
Would love to come back here for a dinner date sometime!
Food was nice, although I had the Smoked Salmon off the brunch menu and it was a bit smaller than I expected (and I'm a girl and not a huge eater either).
But I would definitely go back.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThe sausage wraps were outThe sausage wraps were out of this world. Appetizer portions were good sized, dinners were not huge but nicely done. Overall a good experience!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food, interesting andGood food, interesting and tasty. A beautiful calm Thai feel. Very trendy and chic.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMNice spot, great ambiance,Nice spot, great ambiance, Had the sea bass and the hanger steak entrees, both were outstanding. I little pricey but well worth it. JUST GREAT!!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, beautiful decor,Great food, beautiful decor, strong drinks. Our waitress was a little sarcastic, and the music playing was annoying and the portions were a little small but the food was amazing.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was beautifully presentedThe food was beautifully presented and delectable. I was amazed at how delicious the fried rice was !
I was told it was a romantic place, and could see how it potentially could be, but on Saturday night it seemd more like "da club" ! The music was very loud, thus folks were talking very loud. Hip looking diners though; everyone well-dressed. With all of that... I'll definitely go back.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThe 5 course tasting menuThe 5 course tasting menu was well thought out and presented. It was a nice progression that ended with big bold flavors.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMSolid brunch, great service.Solid brunch, great service. Our drinks were always full and the brunch special's definitely a good one. The room's gorgeous and filled up quickly on a Sunday morning.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMstill excellentLove this place. This time I tried some soup and the hanger steak which were delicious. Sea Bass is always excellent too.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food, drinks and atmosphereThe food, drinks and atmosphere met and surpassed our expectations. The Chilean bass was superb and our waiter most helpful and accurate with suggestions.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMHad the tasting menu and itHad the tasting menu and it was fantastic. Culinary twists in typical Thai dishes. Sat across from Hugh Jackman which kind of added to the experience.....more so for my girlfriend.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome Thai Food !!!!If you like Thai food and great ambiance then this is your place. Its expensive but well worth it. Our server was amazing and the food was creative and delicious. The drinks are just as unique. Its a Soho gem and I cant wait to get back !!!3/18/2013 12:00:00 AMDefinitely worth a visitI usually prefer smaller restaurants and was a little worried about the theme like atmosphere of this restaurant. However it turned out to be a great meal with interesting offerings with well prepared sauces and presentation. Good energy and atmosphere.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMMy third time at KittichaiMy third time at Kittichai . Always a hit with my family and friends.
One minor dissapointment: during this last visit, I did not love the new desert optionon on the tasting menu... chocolate lava cake is not a good option for splitting 4 ways and the tasting menu requires sharing with the rest of your table.
Overall, it is still an excellent restaurant and so far everyone who went with me plans to come back, and bring their friends.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Food - Poor ServiceAmazing food if you like Thai. Truly unique. Decor is amazing - great date place - very trendy. Service is really mediocre. If you want anything get ready to ask again, again and again. Food did not come it when it was supposed to. They served one of our appetizers at the end of the dinner.1/26/2013 12:00:00 AMthe coconut soup & the beefthe coconut soup & the beef carpaccio were amazing. very delicate yet full of flavors appetizers.
but if you are looking for strong thai tastes, i would recommend you avoid the smoked chicken.
it is good don't get me wrong but it does not taste really thai.1/22/2013 12:00:00 AMTruly OutstandingWe had the five course tasting menu which really highlights the quality of the restaurant. Each of the courses includes 2 or 3 items so in total you're eating about 13 items. The dining room is beautiful, the staff is beautiful and the food makes you say "wow!" This is a place that impresses.12/29/2012 12:00:00 AMA fun spot for brunch, menuA fun spot for brunch, menu items different from the standard eggs and French toast. The atmosphere was lively but no one was getting obnoxious despite the all-inclusive mimosas/bloody mary option. The servers were friendly and did a good job of keeping up with the drink refills and checking on how everything was going and tasting. A good choice for a cold and rainy day - lots of candles and flowers.12/16/2012 12:00:00 AM
