The concept of the restaurant is cool with a new menu every day. The sweetbreads appetizer and lamb entree were really delicious. Unfortunately the lobster entree (one we were most excited for) was very very bland. The service was most definitely the damper of the night. It started off well, however, when our entrees came out, it was clear an error had been made with one of our dishes. Instead of letting us know, out waiter plopped just one of the entrees we had ordered in the centre of the table with no side plates and told us to start on this. We finished the first dish by the time our second entree came out, and the shocking thing was, no one acknowledged the error, apologized, or offered us anything. A strange way to treat customers.

We really enjoyed our meal at the Kitsilano Daily Kitchen! We had a later reservation and were able to sit back and relax while having the blind Chef's tasting menu with the paired flight of wines. The food was very good, and we go to try things we had always wanted to but never had (e.g. bone marrow). Service was really good and everyone was very friendly. Highly recommend it, and would go back any time.

We both had the 6-course tasting menu and thoroughly enjoyed the exquisite presentations - the colours, contrasting and complementary tastes and textures reflecting the care taken and creativity behind each dish. The one negative comment would be regarding the tagliatelle under which the short ribs were served - very tasty but a little undercooked; one could almost taste the flour. Other than that, it was a beautiful menu, so reasonably priced, with friendly service in a casual setting. We will be back!

I've been here a few times, and it's always great. We had some bubbly to start off the evening, and ordered the six-course culinary adventure. It was a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing dinner. I love that the menu changes daily based on what's available at the market. Everything was fresh and fabulously inspired by the quality ingredients. We opted not to have wine pairings with every course, but the wines we did have paired perfectly with the dishes. Thanks for a great night!

We did the 6 course tasting menu and it was a treat. Each course was completely blind to us and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. A lot of tasting menus I find actually kinda boring but here we enjoyed every bit and would do it again! If they get around to putting soil on the menu, I'd bet they make it taste great! ;)

We had the tasting menu. It took an hour to get our first dish with the restaurant about 1/4 full. After that, the pace was better. The food was as advertised. It was wonderfully fresh and beautifuly presented. At $85 it was a bit overpriced. I believe that was reflected by the open tables on a Saturday night. If you like an artfully presented, fresh and tasty meal that lasts 3 hours, then Kitsilano Daily Kitchen is for you. I would suggest bringing your own bottle of wine. The corkage is $25.

We did the 6 course culinary adventure and it was fun! We really enjoyed not knowing what was going to come next. The range of food was delicious and yes, adventurous. We both tried 3 things we hadn't had before and surprised ourselves what we enjoyed. The wait staff are attentive, knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around. Thanks Daily Kitchen!

I had a great time at KDK on Friday evening with two guests -- let me give some feedback: appetizers - snapper sashimi: the slices were too thick and so it lacked flavour, this was the only dud dish - duck: very nice mains - pork tenderloin: very good, I liked everything about this dish. - elk cassoulet: this was the stand out dish for me. i liked it a lot. - skate: somehow I was not a fan of this, but perhaps I just don't like skate. wine - we had the cabernet franc - not sweet and great flavour, great suggestion by the waiter

went at the recommendation of some regulars, and could not have enjoyed it more: perfectly cooked pork belly, a rosemary and pear martini mixed just right and not too sweet, and a snapper in tom yum broth that was spectacular. We went there for my husband's birthday, because we wanted something different from our usual places. The menu was what made us pick KDK: it has a lot of daily made fresh items and it simply sounds delicious: prawns, frog legs, sweetbreads, veal tongue, rabbit, bone marrow. I actually regret not going for the 6-course tasting menu. Instead, we started with prawns and summer salad (for a green salad, it was absolutely amazing), then I had the fresh that day crab, and my husband went with the rabbit saddle. They were both very good, though slightly smallish and on the expensive side. The staff was nice and very accommodating. When we asked for dessert (which they did not serve), they whipped up an amazing creme brule in less than 20 minutes.

I visited the daily kitchen for date night as my girlfriend had never been there before. I was surprised to hear that not everything was created for the day, as previous visits they had a much more limited menu but everything was fresh created that day. I ordered off the daily creation portion of the menu, and my girlfriend ordered off the regular. My dishes were amazing, very fresh tasting, good flavor, and seasoned and cooked perfectly. The staple menu items however were a bit lacking, the cauliflower soup was tasty, but not as rich as we both would have liked. And the Beef steak was cold and underseasoned, but they refired us a new one and the 2nd one was much better. Great service, Great food overall, date night again for sure.

The new brunch offering at Kits Daily Kitchen is terrific. The Broiled Soft Eggs & Local Cured Sausage, Bacon, Pancetta & peppers à la boulangerie was incredible. This time, boar bacon was also on the plate. Can anything be better? The cauliflower soup, which is also available on their dinner menu, was fantastic. There are a lot of other items on the brunch menu which we want to try...and we will definitely be back to try them.

Our friends and we decided that we'd go with the six-course culinary adventure (is there any other way to go?) and were not disappointed, indeed we were over-the-moon. Nice wines, roasted cauliflower soup, risotto, ling cod with foie gras, bone marrow and sweetbreads, and accompanying sauces and condiments that were perfectly matched. Of course, I missed at least one dish in the foregoing, but when the food, the service, and the company is this outstanding, the luxury of the evening remains, while some of the details fade.

Had the tasting menu with treating tasting appetizer courses but when it came to the main dishes, was slightly disappointed. There was this savoury pumpkin pie made using a phylo crust which was quite large paired with veal sweetbread. The pumpkin pie overpowered the veal with too strong flavours. For the other dish there was a lamb, tenderloin on one side and panko crusted on the other paired with bread pudding. The lamb was cooked well except for the fact that it was quite fat. On the other hand, the bread pudding was quite flavourless and very doughy. Alas, the desert was an excellent pecan pie which I think helped save the meal.
