Kitsilano Daily Kitchen is consistently great. The dishes are inspired by fresh ingredients, making each meal fabulous. Share a few appetizers if you go with a group; it's tough to choose just one when you know they are all going to be wonderful. My group was celebrating, and the staff went above and beyond to give us an outstanding experience. Thank you!

KDK is a foodie place that specializes in using seasonal ingredients. Sometimes the result is tasty and inspired. At other times, like my visit Oct 17, the menu doesn't tempt me and the results are disappointing. I would probably have preferred a well herbed chicken breast to the pheasant I ordered, and my heirloom tomatoes had the crunch of underripe produce. Best bite of the night was from my wife's risotto appetizer. Will probably try KDK again but will be prepared for it to be my last visit.

A group of us arrived at the restaurant late and our reservations were still held. The wine selection was great. We all had the same, drink and dinner. We all enjoyed it. Absolutely fantastic. Compliments to the Chef. Our waiter also gave us excellent service. Thank you for a great evening.

I've been coming to Kits Daily for quite a while and almost religiously ordering the "Culinary Adventure, 6 courses" for the past 2 months (about ~5 visits). There is not one restaurant in the Vancouver area that has such amazing service and exciting food. Every time I've gone, Chef Brian Fowke and his staff give us an amazing experience. -> The food is well-presented and explained -> Being a frequent diner, you can always expect the freshest and most innovative dishes at Kits -> Service is awesome and not pretentious in the least. You can't go wrong dining here. Period.

After many outstanding meals at Kitsilano Daily Kitchen, we had a rather disappointing dinner there on Saturday night. We had the tasting menu and while the chef accomodated one of our party who didn't eat fish with other items, and all of our meals were ok, we didn't get that WOW factor that we have come to expect and enjoy from this restaurant. Hopefully just a hiccup - we would love to go back and give it another try!

The six course taster menu was dlicious - however quite small. I was extremely disappointed with the last course - the pudding course. A few strawberries and blueberries on a fairly delicious sauce. I was expecting something a little more spectacular - this was something I could well have prepared myself. Nothing to go 'wow' about at the end of a meal. We would not return to this restaurant.

I took my wife here for her birthday and we did the 6 course meal. It was wonderful. The Chef really knew what he was doing as the food prepared and served just kept getting better and better. By the end we were stuffed and feared we wouldn't be able to eat desert. Wrong, we were served a light desert with fruit that was exactly what we needed. Highly recommend the Bone Marrow, the Lamb and this restaurant. Can't wait to go back.

Went with a travelzoo and shared an appetizer, dessert and each had a main. Squash soup was just ok - a little tart if nothing else. Dessert of zabaglione was nothing short of an egg custard - I know real zabaglione and this should not have been called this. Overall it was not an experience that I thought worthy of returning.

Absolutely delicious food and beautifully presented. However if we were considering where to eat or recommending to a friend in future we would think twice/let the friend know that they may not be satisfied with the service. Friendly server but forgetful and slow to respond despite the restaurant not being full.

The food is phenomenal. Everything was prepared to perfection and I'm an avid fan of restaurants that serve local, organic food. I love that the menu changes every day so there's always something new to offer based on what's in season. The only concern was that the server spoke really softly so it was hard to hear at times and the wait for food was longer than what we're used to.

Service was slow because there's only one waiter doing the best he can. Our dinner for us took 3 hours! Food was way over priced. Scampi for $18 has only 1 1/2 shrimp! 6 course dinner was not worth $85. We were still hungry after the meal. Of course we were there for 3 hours. I don't think the Chef was there that night.

We always enjoy our dining at this establishment. Food and staff are excellent. The fact that everything is made fresh has tremendous appeal for us especially since neither of can eat garlic which seems to be a major hurdle at most restaurants we want to visit.

I was delighted to finally get here. I'd heard such great things. The service was astonishingly good and attentive, and the food was good/very good, just not as quite as good as I would like it to have been. I could see the art and the artistry; my dish was deconstructed and then reconstructed beautifully...it just didn't quite gel in the way I would have hoped. I will try again though; this is a wonderful restaurant with an extremely talented and competent chef. Next time will be even better, I'm sure.

The concept of the restaurant is cool with a new menu every day. The sweetbreads appetizer and lamb entree were really delicious. Unfortunately the lobster entree (one we were most excited for) was very very bland. The service was most definitely the damper of the night. It started off well, however, when our entrees came out, it was clear an error had been made with one of our dishes. Instead of letting us know, out waiter plopped just one of the entrees we had ordered in the centre of the table with no side plates and told us to start on this. We finished the first dish by the time our second entree came out, and the shocking thing was, no one acknowledged the error, apologized, or offered us anything. A strange way to treat customers.

We really enjoyed our meal at the Kitsilano Daily Kitchen! We had a later reservation and were able to sit back and relax while having the blind Chef's tasting menu with the paired flight of wines. The food was very good, and we go to try things we had always wanted to but never had (e.g. bone marrow). Service was really good and everyone was very friendly. Highly recommend it, and would go back any time.

We both had the 6-course tasting menu and thoroughly enjoyed the exquisite presentations - the colours, contrasting and complementary tastes and textures reflecting the care taken and creativity behind each dish. The one negative comment would be regarding the tagliatelle under which the short ribs were served - very tasty but a little undercooked; one could almost taste the flour. Other than that, it was a beautiful menu, so reasonably priced, with friendly service in a casual setting. We will be back!

I've been here a few times, and it's always great. We had some bubbly to start off the evening, and ordered the six-course culinary adventure. It was a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing dinner. I love that the menu changes daily based on what's available at the market. Everything was fresh and fabulously inspired by the quality ingredients. We opted not to have wine pairings with every course, but the wines we did have paired perfectly with the dishes. Thanks for a great night!

We had the tasting menu. It took an hour to get our first dish with the restaurant about 1/4 full. After that, the pace was better. The food was as advertised. It was wonderfully fresh and beautifuly presented. At $85 it was a bit overpriced. I believe that was reflected by the open tables on a Saturday night. If you like an artfully presented, fresh and tasty meal that lasts 3 hours, then Kitsilano Daily Kitchen is for you. I would suggest bringing your own bottle of wine. The corkage is $25.

I had a great time at KDK on Friday evening with two guests -- let me give some feedback: appetizers - snapper sashimi: the slices were too thick and so it lacked flavour, this was the only dud dish - duck: very nice mains - pork tenderloin: very good, I liked everything about this dish. - elk cassoulet: this was the stand out dish for me. i liked it a lot. - skate: somehow I was not a fan of this, but perhaps I just don't like skate. wine - we had the cabernet franc - not sweet and great flavour, great suggestion by the waiter
