  • "The food was almost inedible. I started with the White Cheddar, Hard Cider, and Crab Fondue as an appetizer, served with Pretzel Bread. The food arrived and looked like a bowl of melted white cheddar. I searched and searched, but never did find any crab meat, nor could I taste anything other than the cheese. I selected the Bison Meatloaf wrapped in bacon, served on chipotle tomato coulis, with vegetables. The bison meatloaf was served medium. The bacon wrapping was just that, bacon wrapped around the meatloaf and practically uncooked. The vegetables were so overcooked they were mushy and flavorless, even though they were a mixture of baby asparagus, green beans and cut yellow squash. The chipotle tomato coulis looked and tasted artificial."

  • "Kites is flying high again. The menu has many interesting choices now and yet is still kid friendly. The food was excellent, the service was attentive, and they make the best bloody Mary on the east coast. Go soon!"

  • "Our second visit - The first was awful very slow amateur service and chewy Calamari, cold pasta, and reheated chicken breast. The second visit the waiter was a little more cheerful his name Mike, but obviously never trained as a waiter and food was poor, especially considering the Entree prices at $26 and up! This place needs a Gordon Ramsey make over, as the resort itself has a great deal to offer"

  • "Very family friendly! Paper on tables for kids to color and great kid's menu. Friendly staff! Perfect for lunch with family or romantic dinner. The breakfast buffet was great and lunch options were adequate. Dinner leaves a little to be desired...steak was undercooked in some spots, rare in others, shrimp cocktail looked withered, ravioli cream sauce was sour. I feel that the fair quality of the food did not justify the high dinner prices."

  • "We arrived early for our 9pm reservation to a half filled restaurant. No problem getting seating as an early arrival but waitress was nowhere in sight for 20 min. Our incredibly tall and very polite water server had time to refill our glasses twice before she graced us with her presence. She did have time 6 or 7 min earlier to stand at a nearby empty table with another waitress and complain about having too many tables, for a full conversation. Order was slow coming out, defeating the point of small plates and my mussels were missing a spoon and lemon wedges. She stopped by finally to give us our check but not prior to ask how order was or offer another drink. Very disappointing given it was our anniversary dinner."

  • "Food was just okay...nothing special, and certainly not worth the money!! The guest I was dining with ordered the filet mignon and it was fatty and not very tender. I had what they called "Kites Paella" and it was not at all what I expected. The yellow rice was in a brown broth that tasted like watered down brown gravy..there were three very small clams and three tough shrimp mixed in among the chorizo and scallops. I would think twice before dining there for dinner again."
