  • "Our first visit & came with good friends of ours. My husband ordered a pork chop (which was extremely thick), which was fine but had to sent it back, due to raw in the center. Waitress was very gracious and immediately brought it back. Upon its return, still was not cooked through. The chef and also his wife both came out to apologize...our fish specials were superb and the sides fabulous. Even though they did not charge for my husband's meal, he was needless to say, hungry when we left. We live, and my husband's business is in Palm Beach and waited till season was over because you were totally booked (excellent for you !!).... so for him it was just a bad first impression."

  • "The Ahi tuna with mango and avocado, the crab & shrimp cake, and the eggplant-portobello "lasagna" were excellent. Kitchen has a nice atmosphere. Other reviewers complained that the tables were very close together, but we found it to be fine. The table spacing is better than what one would find in a bigger city, like New York or Paris, for a restaurant of this type."

  • "We went based on the positive reviews here and on other sites - thinking this place would be similar to The Grove in Delray Beach, which we love. We were quite disappointed. The service was wonderful but unfortunately that could not make up for the food or the ambiance. Tables are spaced very closely together which makes for an uncomfortably loud, crowded environment. We had the burrata and the eggplant lasagna. The eggplant was tasty. The burrata was hiding under and absurd amount of arugula. Second course was chicken schnitzel and seared duck breast. The chicken was tasty, but also covered with a ridiculous amount of arugula, radishes and mushrooms. The duck was awful. Rare to the point of being gelatinous, skin not crisp and too fatty."

Kitchen acts like its doing you a favor to give you a reservation which are at 2 times only. We got there at 6:30 and only 2 other tables were filled. As two women we were put at the smallest table. Service was ok. Food was good. Prices ridiculously expensive. I would not return as it was not worth all the hype."

  • "The food was fantastic. The restaurant is very attractive, albeit quite small. The noise level was energetic, but not so loud that you could not carry on a conversation. It is a bit pricey, but if you like new, trendy places, it is a good choice."

  • "The Kitchen has been open less than a year, but it already is an institution. The menu is interesting, the wine list is a well curated mix of expensive and interesting less expensive bottles, and even the music is well chosen. Perhaps best of all is the welcoming nature of the restaurant - not always the case where a restaurant has plenty of business - and the very friendly and competent waitstaff. We also have hosted a party in the Kitchen's small party room (capacity 10 to 12) that was greatly enjoyed by everyone. My one quibble would be that while there are specials, a few of the menu items could rotate more frequently. We will be back often."

  • "We have eaten here at least once a month since it opened and can't say enough good things about it. Chef Matthews food is the best we have ever eaten and his fantastic wife Aliza makes running the front of the house look easy with her big smile and wonderful way with people. The servers are all charming and good at their jobs. His crabcake appetizer, his carmelized butternut squash, his fettuccine, his halibut...omg, his coconut cake. There are lots fancier restaurants but no one can touch his food or the sincerity of the people who run this restaurant. Can't wait to go back."

  • "First time at kitchen. Appetizers were delightful. One member of our party got the "simply grilled" snapper, which tasted like charcoal. His entree was quickly replaced, but we were surprised that this was the dish that was not well executed. Steak did carry a bit of a char flavor, but because it was thicker than the fish had more flavor. Wish we could have tried dessert because we were told they were all home made. Loved that the chef and owner hang out in the dining room with the customers and visit every table. We will definitely be back!"

  • "We couldn't wait to dine at this neighborhood gem!! And we weren't disappointed!!! The ambience is that of a New York SoHo quaint Restaurant and the food is absolutely amazing!!!! And of course the serve was equally great!! We will be returning to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary at this special place. The husband and wife team have done an Awesome job bringing and maintaining this hot spot in West Palm Beach!!"

  • "We ate at Kitchen in early May, off season in Palm Beach, and it was still packed. The food was superb. I loved the Chicken Schnitzel with a poached egg, arugula, and mushroom topping. My wife enjoyed a perfect piece of simply grilled swordfish. We shared a sophisticated burrata and tomato appetizer. Our friend enjoyed the spaghetti with clams. The wine list is smart but a little challenging on the lower price end if you don't like New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc or Malbec. The chef, his wife who hosts, and the staff are friendly and efficient I highly recommend Kitchen and intend to return (if I can get in)."

  • "This is one of West Palm Beaches new hot spots. If you want to go you need to make a reservation well in advance. All the hype is true. The place is small and quaint, well decorated and romantic. The service is outstanding. Our waitress from Seattle was very knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, and not intrusive at all. She guided us through our visit, helped navigate us through the menu, and made our overall experience all the better. The food is amazing! Crabcakes conceivably the best we've ever had (hailing from Rhode Island that says a lot!). Salmon Carpaccio was fresh, light, and flavorful. Chicken Schnitzel was innovative and generous, reminding me of my time in Austria. The Coconut Creme cake was perfection too! Recommend!!"

  • "On a Monday nite this restaurant was buzzing. The hostess, and wife of chef, couldn't have been nicer. Sat us outside at a lovely table (you're facing a parking lot but who cares!). Crabcake appetizers outstanding, chicken for my main was great along with incredible Brussels sprouts. Dessert to die for-we all shared the chocolate cake. Even the chef came out at the end of the meal to introduce himself and chat. Don't miss this special rest!! Plan to return again-for sure."

  • "We went to Kitchen for my sister's birthday. Everything was wonderful from the food to the service to the atmosphere. It's dim and romantic but the energy level makes it lively. The Seafood Risotto special was amazing and the Burger was delicious. The Strawberry Shortcake was a must have! All good things to say about Kitchen. On a helpful note: There isn't a bar so show up close to your reservation time. And yes - you need a reservation! I definitely prefer the indoor seating."
