"The Kitchen in Boulder is a marvelous restaurant. The food is terrific and the service and atmosphere are great. The menu changes frequently so although there aren't loads of choices you won't encounter the same old thing each time you dine there.I wish is were a bit less expensive so I could eat there more often."

"I took my boyfriend to The Kitchen in Boulder for his bday. I liked the ambience of the place, the hostess let us pick the best of the available two tops (pretty small, once you got an appetizer plate, bread plate, wine glasses, etc. on there). I liked everything but the service. Our server was lackluster at best. He was timely and appropriately attentive but not friendly, not engaging. I had hoped at the price I paid, that The Kitchen would pay particular attention to the quality of customer service that their servers provide. I observed the other servers and wished we'd had one of them. They seemed to enjoy themselves and engaged with their customers in s very friendly fashion. Maybe we just got the one, unhappy one."

"Very inventive menu with a focus on carefully sourced ingredients. Fantastic Beer list and very nice wine list showcasing the world's sustainably produced wines. The service is fantastic because everyone working helps out. Service is a group effort. If your waiter is busy, another will step in to take care of your table. The tasting menu is a total bargain and they'll match drinks to your courses for a really fun experience."

"this was one of the best dining experiences we have had in Boulder. We asked the waiter to use his discretion and bring us a couple of starters and an entree. We were in for a rare treat. The flavors were mouth watering and the dishes exceptionally creative. We look forward to our next visit but will bring friends along with us next time."

"I had been looking forward to dining at The Kitchen for quite some time. We took our 21 year old granddaughter as a birthday celebration. Yes, the service was outstanding; otherwise most selections were disappointing. The most disappointing was their escarole salad. It was limp and uninteresting. My husband's cheese and pate plate he reported as being good with the toasted bread being a nice accompaniment. The mushroom pasta was fine and my wahoo was fine, but that is not good enough for a $200 dinner for three. The warm chocolate dessert was the highlight."

"The food was excellent, but the overall experience was marred by the wait. With a reservation made 3 weeks ahead, I did not expect a 45 minute wait with no room at the bar. We basically had to stand in the middle the restaurant next to people eating becasue there was nowhere to go. When they called us for our table we got to wait another 10 minutes to be seated. From then on it was great."
