A word from Kitchen LTO at Trinity Groves
Kitchen LTO is a permanent pop-up restaurant that reinvents itself three times per year and gives a rotating home to up-and-coming chef and artist/design talent and their ideas.

Essentially, the entire restaurant is “Limited Time Only” (LTO), where a new restaurant is born every four months. Three times a year, a new chef rotates in and introduces a new menu concept. Simultaneously, a new artist transforms the interior walls. Applicants will be screened by our selection committee for qualifications and then voted on through our website and social media channels, as the general public will be the ultimate deciding factor for who will chef and design the restaurant every four months.

Our experience at Kitchen LTO was fabulous! The food was unique and out of this world. My wife ordered the shrimp with grits and it was the best meal she has ever had. I would highly recommend KLTO to all that want to have a fantastic meal with super service and a great atmosphere! Dr. Hank

Certain dishes were excellent but overall the food was inconsistent. I might try it again though. We were there for brunch on a Sunday. The Chicken fried stack was delicious. The butter cake was a major disappointment.

kitchen LTO has an intriguing concept, every 3 months the decor, menu, and Chef change, virtually ensuring you will never get bored with your night on the town. Chef Blythe Beck is in current residence until Feb 2015 and has a unique version of "Southern Comfort" Food which was perfect for our anniversary dinner. We had reservations at 6 and were one of only 2 couples, by 6:45 the place had filled and the inside was becoming more of a "bar" atmosphere making it louder than I generally prefer for a romantic dinner, but filled with great energy and comradarie. We loved the concept, the wait staff (very attentive), the food, meeting Chef Blythe, & supporting an innovative restaurant in an up-and-coming area. Can't wait to take the family back!

A neat concept--a rotation of chefs through a permanent pop-up restaurant--but our visit during Brooke Egger's tenure left me a little unimpressed. Plating was a little odd, favoring one side and feeling like the kitchen staff forgot to put something on. Cocktails were interesting, a surprise gem on the beer list (Deschutes from OR!), personable staff. Scallops were cooked perfectly, but my companion's meal wasn't memorable. Something about the pop-up-iness felt like there wasn't a lot of investment in the product or the experience. Good news: everything changes: chefs, their menus, and the local artist decor only stick around for four months. But current chef Blythe Beck's menu doesn't look very different than her predecessor's.

Wanted to see chef Brooke Egger before her term was up and she didn't disappoint. Lamb Lollies were flavorful and tender - the cotton candy was a clever touch. Grilled romaine was tasty but a bit heavy on the blue cheese for my taste. Our waiter said the lump crab was fresh, so we tried the crab cake salad. It was a nice choice. The marscapone filled waffle with avacado whipped cream was a lovely finish.

Four of us dined in the last weeks of Brooke Egger's stint as chef. Everything was very tasty and the service was excellent. One of us got the rib-eye, which was a huge portion, but the men ordered the crab cake salad and the chicken and thought both portions were a little small for them. The halibut was a little salty and the plate was all white and beige - not pretty, but still good. We also had the jalapeno poppers and the brisket nachos - both excellent. For dessert, the LTOMG Chocolate Dome was a show in itself and decadently rich, but again, it was a little small for sharing. Overall, a good experience.

Group of 8 people on Tuesday night. Except for us, there were 4 other people there - place was empty. Menu is limited but interesting. We passed on cocktails as we'd been elsewhere for drinks before LTO (Waiter was miffed that we didn't want drinks). Food came and everyone was pleased with what they had - the bass was yummy. Others had quail, pasta special, steak - all pleased with food quality. Pros - Trinity Groves, so Location; food was good; enough variety on the menu ; easy to get in Cons - portions for some were small, service was grumbly (one dish brought out w/items on it that were asked to be left off, another sent back a soda, we didn't order dessert - waitstaff acted put out); expensive for food/service/experience combo

Having heard so much about the Trinity Grove area and Kitchen LTO we had to try it. Well what a disappointment , the area and development will one day be worth the trip but today it's just a few rest in the middle of no where and the food from kitchen LTO was fair at best. Food was bland with out seasoning. You are much better served by the many rest in the Bishop Arts dist.

I took my out-of-town guests here because CNN recommended it as a great concept restaurant. Turned out to be a great find! My friends were impressed by the reasonable brunch prices (everything was around $10 a plate) and the food was wonderfully executed. I chose the bacon waffle and my only complaint there was that it didn't really have a lot of bacon on it. Otherwise everything else was pretty spot on. We started out with the Landlocked "Sashimi" (wonderful salty seafood goodness) and one of my friends tried the Billion $ Burger (amazingly spiced). Another friend ordered the Blue Biscuit and Chicken and they crumbled the biscuit into his salad…which turned out to be a great idea. We finished off with the LTOMG! chocolate dome. DELICIOUS!

I've been to LTO three times now, and each time it just gets better and better. Brooke Egger, the current chef, ALWAYS visits the table, sometimes even personally serves a dessert, and engages with us. Her food is amazing, the ambiance is current, modern and snazzy and service is always top notch. Nice place for a date night, or like we did on this trip, a Sunday brunch. Not your typical place, either, so definitely good to try things outside your necessary comfort zone. Highly recommended.

We'd been wanting to try Kitchen LTO and the Chef Eggar's menu and it did not dissapoint! The appetizers were fantastic (we had the famous fritos, lamb lollies and landlocked sashimi) all were very tasty, though I think I liked the fritos best (and that the chips weren't actual Fritos). Our entrees were delicious, well portioned and lived up to all the server said they were. The desserts though...I'm so glad we tried the LTOMG and the Waffles. I love that the LTOMG gets a different twist with each chef...but those waffles with the avocado creme need to stick around for sure. I would go back just for those. Service was great and not overbearing. We took all our server's suggestions. Dinner was a great experience all around!

Great time Sunday night - great food - everyone sampled the others' - clear winner this night was the Halibut - outstanding - some of the best in memory. Chef's usual night off - but she was giving cooking lessons so we got to meet her as well. Problem was several desert items were "already taken" or no longer available. Hurry to try this menu before mid-Sept.

Overall, the experience at LTO was good. The food tasted amazing, but was not served hot....barely warm. The time between order being placed, apps served, and main course served was too long. The waiter was very pleasant and apologized for the long waits. Had this not been a first date, I would have sent my food and my dates food back..which I never do. Since I didn't mention my disappointment to the waiter/manager I did not allow them to rectify the situation....I will go back and give them another chance.

This is my 2nd time at Kitchen LTO, the first time with with different chef. Last time I did not like the place at all, food not that good and way overpriced. Unfortunately I think here on the 2nd visit we have the same situation. I will not be back for either of the chefs. Risotto: 2/5 (hated the crunchy carrot bits in it and it was not creamy like it should be) Sashimi: 3/5 (interesting and creative but small and overpriced) Bison Tartare: 4/5 (really tasty except for bread was extremely stale which might be intentional) Chilled Lobster: 3/5 (This is basically just a salad with a few tiny bits of lobster, enjoyable but boring) Service 3/5 (Our waitress was not very friendly) Atmosphere: 4/5 FOOD SOUNDS GREAT BUT USUALLY FALLS FLAT

The first night I came to kitchen lto they ran out of most of the entrees and I had the scallops, which were sandy and the purée had no flavor. The next time I had the sashimi, the lamb and the halibut. The best was the appetizers or sashimi and lamb, but they were amazing. The halibut was cooked well but no flavor.

I was very excited about trying LTO out. The menu looked amazing, but the food was bland. The rellenitos had zero kick to them. The caprese was delicious, however. The worst part of the experience was the raw (pink and cold to the touch) quail. I understand that mistakes happen, but the bird was not slightly undercooked, but extremely undercooked. I would guess the interior temperature of the breast was about 80 degrees which is dangerous. I was given another dish at no charge to make up for it which was nice. I was a bit taken aback by the extremely brief (4 seconds) and insincere apology from the chef.

We tried close to half of the menu, including all of the recommended "highlights". None of the dishes were spectacular, most were under seasoned and under whelming. The grilled romaine salad was probably the biggest hit at the table with balanced flavors of sweet, salty and a very tasty dressing. The entree highlight was the tenderloin, although the polenta cake was the one thing over seasoned and was on the too salty side. We skipped dessert. Also, the server treated us like a bit of an inconvenience, for example, "we've got a lot of plates coming out, you'll need to organize the table so we can fit them" - isn't that kind of their job? I'll go back for the next Chef, hopefully they'll be better.
