Good happy hour drink and food specials. Great service and food. It was our anniversary and they brught us a beautiful dessert for free. The service is always excellent and they have a large selection of both red and white wines. Because of the cost, eating at Kirby's is not a weekly event but it is still my favorite restaurant for special occassions. Both my wife and I had the surf and turf. The Austrailian lobster tail was prepared perfectly and was much larger than lobster tails found at most restaurants. Both steaks were cooked exactly as requested. We have never had a steak come out wrong or less than tender. The plate, warm to mid hot but not too hot that if you accidentally bump it you don't have to worry about being branded is a nice change over other fine dining establishments. Succulent streaks that literally melt in your mouth, decadent salad dressings (I recommend the Roquefort), and great sides (my favorite is the jalapeno macaroni and cheese). The staff was reasonably kind but not very aware of our drinks getting low.
Romantic setting, jazzy music, dimmed lighting, notable wine list and the pickle chips and chicken florentine were amazing, by far the best I've ever tasted!
I was slightly insulted when they immediately pulled the wine list and glasses because me and my girlfriend appear young, however we are both in our 30's.

The waitress was very knowledgable and recommended several great choices. The filet my husband ordered was extremely tender and full of flavor. I myself am a vegetarian and our waitress recommended getting the fetuccini Alfredo mixed with the marinera sauce. It was delicious! To top it off they surprised my husband with an incredible cinnamon chocolate cake with ice cream. He was so surprised and so excited. The staff was wonderful and gave him a birthday card with a GC included. The food is consistently well prepared and their rack of lamb is the best! Try the lobster risotto and the mac and cheese... yes, I said, mac and cheese!!! Other notables are the cowboy cut ribeye and the tournedos bearnaise medallions. This is a perfect dining place for business, not loud and easy to carry on a conversation.
