  • "Very nice food. My Tandoori lamb was cooked at perfection. The service impeccable."

  • "Nice friendly staff but food lacking spice and flavor. If your British, best find another place. You won't find what your looking for here."

  • "The food selections are a bit more varied than the usual Indian fare. More emphasis on continental -European selections."

  • "This restaurant is a must if you love Indian food. The menu has all the traditional staples, with additional sections of the menu that have unique dishes, less traditional Indian, but very delicious nonetheless and still utilizing the Indian flavor profile. Naan comes pre-cut which I loved. Waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and extremely helpful in navigating through it."

  • "Our party of 5 chose the Tasting Menu and it was superb. Justin, our server, was very attentive and timed service perfectly. Excellent wine pairings. We'd all highly recommend Kiran's and will plan to return."

  • "Everyone in our group of four totally enjoyed Kiran's. The food and drink menus are exciting and extensive. It was the first visit for all of us; since I was the member of the party who recommended the restaurant, I was especially pleased that everyone had a pleasant experience. Each of us has vowed to make a return visit. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening."

  • "We have been going to kirans for several years. Last Friday, the restaurant was moderately busy. The waiters seemed disorganized- several waiters took different parts of our order. The usually excellent service and attention was lacking- we had to call the waiters several times to replenish the chutneys. The dinner came out immediately after appetizers. The two martinis were very watery. The food was still very good - saag paneer and chicken tikka. Overall, this was not kirans best night"

  • "Justin was our waiter and was very attentive. The food was excellent and everything was fresh. We had goat cheese naan, potato samosa, chicken chili tikka and chicken tikka masala. Loved the food. Not cheap but the restaurant was clean and all the ingredients were fresh. The Pimms cup was also very good. Will definitely be returning."

  • "Not really an allergy safe location. Waiters seemed confused and didn't warn me about foods that would or wouldn't be safe to eat. Lamb was overcooked. However, the creme brulee trio was delicious. Ambience was nice, however every 30 minutes a train goes by, but even with that, it was dairly quiet."

  • "We had a great experience -- elegant interiors, polished and friendly service, and delicious food. We like anything spicy and thought the heat level of all our dishes was just right -- hot enough to light up our taste buds but not so hot to make our heads explode. We started with the street food dish called Chat Pata Keema and were blown away by the flavors. Then had Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Vindaloo, Daal Makhni and Sarson Ka Saag -- all delicious. And enough leftover to take home for lunch the next day. Just wish we had room to try dessert."

  • "As usual, the food and service was impeccable. Can't wait to go again! The okra dish is to die for!"

  • "Kiran's provided the best (ever) Indian food I have had at a restaurant. We tried four vegetarian dishes and they were all packed with incredible flavor. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and the service is exceptional. I highly endorse and recommend Kiran's for superb Indian food. Any time we visit Houston we will definitely dine at Kiran's!"

  • "Kiran's is one of this region'a great fine dining experiences. Kiran is a visionary chef and has created an experience with very friendly refined staff serving sublime Indian fusion cuisine. We take everyone there for dinner. "

  • "Expected high-end Indian food but got average to below average. Only thing I can say is that Indian dishes have been toned down for American customers (which to be honest should be hotter in Texas) and therefore lost those true Indian flavors. I had high expectations and was let down with bland dishes. Otherwise, an upscale place for meetings and parties. About me, I was in Houston for convention and home base is Chicago. Many Indian\Pakistani\Afghan restaurants with flavorful food."

  • "Service was very slow to poor. Waited for 10 minutes for our cocktails, first coarse came 1 minute after cocktails. There was an hour wait between second coarse and main entree. Hard to get water refills. Ordered wine and it took a long time to get to the table. Food was excellent! "

  • "I'm no newbie to indian cuisine so I'm a rather critical judge. I've traveled all around and have had some of the best. I would say the food was pretty decent. It was spicy, flavorful and authentic. The tamarind sauce was homemade and delicious (although it is my personally preference to have it a little on the sweeter side) and the stuffed naan was the best I've ever had. The variety was great not only for food but for drinks and desserts as well. Customer service was good and they even gave us a complimentary dessert sampler since it was our anniversary. Their prices are fair and I will be returning. A few things to keep in mind: 1. This place is not really kid friendly 2. The hostess wasn't very welcoming but the waitstaff made up for it"

  • "Food was average. For the price, go to India's Restaurant and save your money for the same quality if not better. Service entirely too slow. "

  • "Was the first time there and overall was a good night, main meal was good but not enough rice, I would recommend you at least try this place "

  • "We enjoyed going there on a date night- the service was exceptional and the food was fantastic as well. While the menu serves the standard Indian foods for the main course, it was the street foods (appetizers) that was the scene stealer. Highly Recommended"

  • "The tea at Kiran's is good and definitely a different take on the old classics... The desserts are particularly good, but I think the sandwiches left something to be desired. The chicken salad was great, but the pea salad just simply was not. I was disappointed that the salmon was done as a salad rather than smoked on dark bread. The samosa starter was a highlight, and all of the teas were tasty. I think tea at Kiran's is more of an experience than it is really great food. Go for the fun, but know that you can have better tea sandwiches elsewhere. Maybe even at home?"

  • "Loved the 5-course meal. "Most perfect meal ever!" was the comment at our table. The Idli, Vada with Coconut Chutney & Sambar was amazing - just the right amount of spice. Kiran's Egg Benedict was unique - the crab was exquisite. Even the salad stood out -- the heirloom tomatoes were bright and her balsalmic reduction added an amazing flavor. "Surf N Turf" of salmon & lamb was so flavorful. Topped it off with homemade ice cream & sorbets -- as outstanding as every dish. Can't say enough about how great the meal and the experience was. Live Jazz music added a special touch to the ambience. Kiran makes every visit special. Thanks for a great Easter meal!"

  • "We went for easter brunch. The food was excellent, the service even better. The only problem was the table behind us had two out of control and very noisy children, which ruined the enjoyment of our very expensive meal. "

  • "Indian cuisine may not seem the most typical choice for brunch on Easter Sunday, but since Kiran's always does a magnificent job, we trusted our family celebration to the chef-owner and staff. The five-course meal, with two courses offering choices, was terrific. And both the vibe in the dining room and the quality of service were first-rate. And if you don't feel like Indian food for Easter (or Thanksgiving, or another holiday), you really should feel like going to Kiran's for dinner anytime."

  • "My daughter and I were transported to a time long gone...we rarely eat out because the quality of food and ambiance is very poor everywhere,I am never satisfied so I now refuse to eat out..thank goodness for this place I now have a special place to go..it is a wonderful dining experience, the service was impeccable ,the ambiance was perfect, and Chef Kiran's menu is outstanding. I really loved how the food was spaced out so well...a wonderful two hours The afternoon tea was half the price of tea in London and it was equally as good. I have also enjoyed dinner here..I am looking forward to my next visit...you will not be disappointed !! "

  • "Modern twist on traditional Indian food; quite pleasant for most items but a few items should be left alone (what did you do that the normally delicious and simple pilau rice? Just too sweet for my palate). Very pricey so reserve for special occasions."

  • "Dinner with veteran travelers to India and foodies. All agreed we felt like we were back at the Imperial or the Oberoi dining rooms in Northern India. Sophisticated crowd from the neighborhood on a Tuesday evening. Started with cocktails and Samosa's, and tasted our way into okra, dahl and Biryani. Then onto Lamb Vendaloo and Naan right out of the oven. Appetizer portions are enough for two, sides are enough for 4 hungry diners. Nice and quiet enough for a one on one discussion, but not too quiet. All in All wonderful experience. another nice surprise in Houston!"
