Diner Reviews
  • "Food always good, restaurant is comfortable and lively. This time, not a usual thing, our service was very slow and inattentive. The server left for long periods of time without checking on things, forgot to bring drinks and left empty glasses on the table, three of the four of us were without drinks for about 10 minutes. Not good for a business. Fortunately, we wherein good company and the food made up for the servers lack."

  • "I hope it was just an off night for our Server, but it was the worst experience ever. Once she took our order she never checked back on us until 25 minutes had gone by. One of our friends had asked for Ketchup with his potatoes & she said "you're kidding. You don't have ketchup with potatoes." It was very uncomfortable for all at the table. She was so rude that we didn't order any more alcohol or desert from her. Doesn't matter if we even wanted to though because she never checked back on us again."

  • "I was disappointed with my meal for the first time in many visits. It was far from the normal quality I have come to expect from this establishment which it is normally a very pleasant and memorable experience. I had ordered the rockfish and was truly was surprised with the disheveled appearance of the plate, the overcooked Kinley's version of hush puppies which were virtually inedible; hard and cold. Our meals were delivered by someone other than our waiter who took our order and did not see him again until he delivered our bill."

  • "We have been to Kinley's a number if times because we know that the food is consistently good and the service has always been top notch. This visit was much different, our food was ether undercooked or over cooked, and poorly executed, and this could have been fixed if our server was to have checked back with us after we got our food. We didn't see her for 15 min after, except for when she dropped off a drink refill but didn't even make eye contact or stopped to ask anything.Poor attitude, I could see her roll her eyes as she walked away, after I told her that my scallops were burned. The best part was when I told her we were using a groupon, and she smiled and said, of course you are. What! We're crossing this restaurant off of our list."

  • "This was my 2nd time there. As I really enjoyed the first time, both food and service, I invited my good friends there again. My food-Halibut was very good, but my friends' were not. They complained the saltiness of the King salmon and Lamb dishes."

  • "Really loved my dinner there. They accommodated my children well. They do a wonderful job of mixing flavors in the dishes. I have never had a bad meal there."

  • "Save your $ Review of Kinley's Anchorage. The acoustics of the dining area are horrible for holding a civilized conversation. My wife & I had to speak at elevated levels to hear; it reminded me of being at a college dive bar. At first, service was ok. Our waiter Pav came and asked if we'd like drinks. I ordered a beer. At the time of our dinner arriving, my beer glass was empty. Pav did not recognize this and did not ask if another was wanted. During our dinner he came once and asked how we were doing, but after this, he did not come around until the end of our meal. We saw him go over to another table with younger women at least 10 times. Our H20 glasses were empty for a while and food was so-so. Not worth the $."

  • "Dinner for 5 included five different entrees and all were very good to excellent with good pairings of meat and side dishes. Service was excellent during the meal with refills and responses from wait staff and busboys. The dessert menu was so tempting that we tried four different desserts. Incredible! My favorite was the triple chocolate cheesecake but the honey lavender ice cream was both subtle and sensational."

  • "We have been going to Kinley's for several years now. There food has always been outstanding and the service up and down. This dinner was absolutely outstranding. The food was WOW. Bacon wraped dates, and oysters au gratin for apps were unbelievable. Followed by a caprese salad then almond crusted halibut and pan seared scallops. We topped the evening off with a Mocha Bourbon Pecan Torte and the Graham's port flight - Probably the best deal in town!"

  • "Went to Kinley's for the first time with friends who had never been there either. Welcome was very pleasant, however it took a while for our server to show, but he was very nice but his assistant waiter's BO was almost unbearable everytime he came to refill water etc. The appetizers were great and we thought we're off to a great start! Wrong!! Once the main entree showed things went downhill from there. My filet migon was cooked to the consistency of shoe leather(ordered medium), my friends scallops were still frozen in the middle, my wife's french onion soup was burned(not the cheese but the broth) the manager tried to fix things but to no avail, and to make it worse, we ended up paying the whole bill."

  • "The service is excellent, and the food is creative and delicious! The only downside is that if it's busy it can be very loud."

  • "Was looking forward to eating here after having their food at a wedding reception and other friends that have enjoyed their wares, but came away very disappointed. Crowded and noisy dining area. Luke warm food that was over cooked. A waiter who didn't know his menu. I can't recommend their food."

  • "Kinley's always does well with the food - bread is delicious, ditto coffee -- two basics on which every restaurant should score well. Our food was tasty, well-prepared, and the right temperature. The chocolate torte is always worth saving soom for. This particular evening (but not typically) the server was pleasant, but service was exceptionally slow, even after we said a couple of different times that we wanted to leave soon. Overall, well above average, but not every diner wants a 2 1/2 hour meal on a weekday evening. We had other plans that we ended up having to cancel because of the delays."

  • "Bad service. Food quality poor. Refused to give us a booth even though restaurant was nearly empty and I had a reservation; when we turned to leave a booth miraculously became available. Waited 20 minutes to place order then almost an hour for food. Sent steak back; small and overcooked. Potatoes had been siting in steam table and were cold. Never again. Go to Orso, Suite 100 or Sullivan's."

  • "Brett and his team really know how to cook seafood. There are other things on the menu, but go for the Ahi tuna tacos, the lobster ravioli, and the scallops. Great food as always."

  • "I dined at Kinley's last week and was amazed! One of the best meals I have had in a long time. My husband and I shared a bottle of Pinot Grigio, shared the Lamb Sliders appetizer, and he had the filet while I enjoyed the rockfish. I will definitely be returning. Service was attentive, but not overbearing. Thank you!"

  • "I have been to Kinley's many times and it never fails to please. As noted by the above ratings, it is the fact that all aspect of our experience were good. When we arrived (we had a reservation) and our table was unsatisfactory, the host immediately moved us to a nicer table with a window view. My wife just had a couple of orders of appetizers in lieu of a main and we shared salad and soup (a great onion soup). I ordered the special which was a creative dish featuring fresh scallops. The menu specials also had several other fresh seafood options, king salmon prominent among them. As always the service was attentive and the server knowledgeable on the wine selections. Another great experience at Kinleys!"

  • "For dessert I tried the special cheesecake the server described - dried apricot with pepper and bacon. It sounded intriguing. It was fabulous. The blend of the flavors was unexpected but so rich and nuanced, I tried to eat the whole piece. Couldn't do that, so I took home the nubbin that was left and had it for dessert tonight. It was still one of the best desserts I've had in a very long time."

The bacon wrapped dates are a must have 1 order is never enough we always get 2. Ivan has been my server the last two times I have been there and he is great. Always save room for Dessert."

  • "A mother's day brunch at $45 person. The food was cold, mediocre and no service. Way over priced. I have many business lunches here and wanted to bring my wife for her first time on a special day and spent $115 (with tip) for a cold, overpriced, mother's day brunch with poor service and mediocre food. I would not recommend mother's day brunch and I am upset my wife's first time had to be this experience. Disappointed!!"

  • "The food was mediocre. I went in with a group of 10. The waitress receives automatic gratuity, but she was not attentive at all. The bus boy was amazing and very attentive. He should have gotten 100% of gratuity"

  • "Ribeye was excellent! Perfect and tender!! The only con was It was actually quieter in the bar verses the dining area. There was a small noisy child next to us (makes it hard to have a peaceful/romantic dinner) at approx $40.00 per person."

  • "5 of our party of 7 arrived for our 5:15 res. and were seated on time. The rest of our party arrived minutes later. When our waitress arrived she thought we were still waiting for the rest of our party, but we said no. She was a little taken aback, but proceeded to ask if we wanted any wine or drinks. We all said we were fine w/water. She made a disdainful face and immediately removed the wineglasses. Our meals were fine, though unremarkable for the price. Teenage son loved the Lobster Ravioli. The Short Ribs were good and the Rib-eye special was a bit too fatty. Our waitress was rude in responding to questions, mostly w/her tone of voice that was like a verbal eye roll, but at one pt. actually rolling her eyes! Very ungracious!"
