Kingfisher Restaurant & Wine Bar at Sleeping LadyBest Breakfast in LeavenworthI have been pretty disappointed in the breakfast spot selections in Leavenworth, until a friend recommended Sleeping Lady. I was beyond impressed! Not your typical buffet. the selections were unique, local and delicious! I am picky about the quality of food I consume and I will keep coming back for breakfast for sure! Great gluten free and fruit selections. the inside is beautiful, but outside is even more spectacular with the river and mountains right out the back door. It was nice to take a stroll around the property and check out the garden and O'Grady's pantry, which appears to have great food selections as well. I already made reservations for when my parents and in-laws visit!6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMKingfisherI was a little unprepared for the openness of this dining experience. Obviously neighbors do influence the noise factor. Food was a buffet and good but do prepare yourself for the fact that this is not a quiet restaurant and that kids will be running around.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMBusy restaurantThis is a buffet style restaurant although of a very high calibre. Sadly the downfall of this restaurant in my opinion are the table placements. This restaurant is situated in a beautiful forest setting but the seating arrangements are tricky as they have some very big tables that take up a lot of space. Great if you are with a big group not so great if you are a couple trying to have a romantic meal! We did ask to be moved but we were told that this was not possible. If you are making a reservation perhaps contact the restaurant itself and ask for a specific table.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious food in buffet settingFor a pretty high price for a buffet-like experience you'd get delicious food that it's hard to find in a very fine restaurant.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMMountain TreasureSleeping Lady is a great get-away. Two nights there is refreshing and only a 2.5 hour drive from Seattle w/traffic. The food at Kingfisher is fresh, flavorful and lovely. The staff goes above and beyond to make your meal and stay memorable. Our most recent meal was Easter Brunch. It was an unseasonably warm day. We were traveling with my two French Bulldogs. The service staff was kind enough to allow us outside seating even though the restaurant's official setup hadn't been prepped as yet for Spring/Summer. My friend, the poochies and I sat by the river under a pine tree in the sunlight enjoying a remarkable brunch with full restaurant service. Pretty sweet!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AM
