  • "Came here for my birthday dinner, just my husband and I, and I have to say it was a disappointment. Appetizers: calamari, it was chewy, so over cooked, and the gumbo, the roux was spot on,but there was hardly any rice,chicken,ect. that are the main ingredients. Entree:jambalaya, needed more spice and the Crispy skin salmon, it was alright. For the price we paid for the meal, it's not worth returning."

  • "Our previous visit was better. The prime rib was bland. The Fish from the fish and chips was a little soggy, maybe batter was too light. The baked potato was small and didn't have bacon on it. French fries were very good. They ran out of dinner rolls. How could they run out at 6pm? Service was good even though we were in a dark corner."

It was Father's Day, the reservations were packed, the kitchen was backed up over an hour and the service at the table was very slow. Our 6:30 dinner turned into a 7:45 dinner. I would have thought with it being a celebrated day, they would have over staffed, but that was not the case."

  • "We paid $250.00 for 4 people but I feel we didn't get our money's worth. Although food is good, the service was awful. I've been served better on some cheap food joint. We constantly had to ask for things (bread, water, etc). We were asked by our server only once during our meal. I ordered a 11.00 cocktail and the server spilled it but didn't apologized nor wipe the table."

  • "Glad this isn't my first time here. This is actually my favorite restaurant. Great food and great cocktails. But for Father's Day it was one of worst experiences at a restaurant. Our waiter was simply not very good. He had no personality which I didn't mind but to go along with it he was unattentive to the point he almost didn't exist. Iced teas and water glasses were never refilled. We didn't get sugar for the iced teas. Our cocktails didn't come out until after our salads. Also we ordered oysters which never made it to the table. I had to make sure we didn't get charged for them. Very disappointed with the service!!"

  • "After spending all day at the county fair, our party of 10 was starving. Even though we showed up 20 min. early, they sat us promptly. Beverages and apps came promptly, an improvement from past visits. Dinner portions are hearty & tasty. The only criticism I might have is our server wasn't as personable as our previous servers, but still did a good job."

  • "Has valet parking which is great on the weekends when it is almost impossible to find parking. Everyone loved their dinner and the appetizers where amazing. We had the shrimp, dim sum, and pork lettuce wraps for appetizers. I had the mahi mahi which was delicious. My friends really enjoyed their fish tacos."

  • "For the price of what we were paying, approximately $23-26 per person for a party of 9, I'd expect better service. The table had salad dressing leftover from the previous guests that got all over my arms. Had to ask twice before the server came to hesitantly wipe off the table. While taking our orders, he seems annoyed & rushing us. He even missed asking one person for her order. Not even once throughout the meal did he ask if anyone needed a drink refill. The tab was about $400. He did not not deserve the 18% gratuity that was tagged on the bill. This dining experience was totally embarrassing for us locals entertaining out of town guests."

  • "The food was fantastic. I had the shrimp etouffee and it was quite good. The sauce was nicely spiced with just enough cayenne pepper to add spice, but not volcanic. The shrimp and crayfish were tender. My only negative would be the noise level and the restroom. The noise level made it difficult to have a conversation. We were downstairs and it the sound echoed off of the walls and ceiling making for a fairly loud din. As for the men's room, it was in need of serious cleaning. There was a lot of water on the floor near the toilets and they were in need of come cleaning up and refreshing."

  • "Kingfish was great. I've been there before and it didn't disappoint. Great food, great wine, and a great table upstairs were all ingredients for a lovely evening. It did take longer than usual to receive our meals as our order apparently got stuck behind a huge party order, but our server was gracious and we weren't in a rush so it was fine. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends."

  • "Mothers Day dinner was a disaster even though we came at 5:30pm. My daughter who does not eat fish or beef ordered chicken fettucini. The waitress returned saying no chicken fettucini; they could do the noodles with a side of chicken breast. We said fine. The fettucini came (very small- sauce not stirred in- no chicken on the side) and there was a hair in it. We sent it back, asking for the menu so she could pick something else. After 10 minutes of watching our waitress wait on everyone else she finally came back to my daughter who ordered chicken marsala. We were now done eating by then. The waitress again came back and said there was no chicken marsala. We called the manager, she deducted our food cost but charged for the drinks. "

  • "Not sure if they changed the price on the menu because it was Mothers day. But i thought iit was overpriced for the amount of serving and well overrated... will not go back. We already finished with our appetozer ( pork spring roll, 4 small pieces fro $9 really!!!!) when they gave us the complimentary bread and butter. We have to remind the waitress about the mojito order. "

  • "Kingfish has a great menu and we were competently served by a very good waitress, but it was an unpleasant experience having dinner there on a Saturday night. The main problem is noise--bad acoustics and very loud and drunk patrons. One table of 10 in particular was unbearable. Technically not Kingfish's fault, but be warned that a lot of big parties dine there. The food was uneven. Ahi tuna is their best dish but it was served cold. The mahi mahi special was cooked unevenly. Across the board, the vegetables were terrible. Absolutely no flavor in a New Orleans style restaurant--very odd. Would never go again for dinner. Kingfish has big restaurant aspirations without the infrastructure to support them."
