Since it was later, the restaurant was fairly quiet, so we could easily talk. We shared some appetizers and everyone enjoyed their food. King Fish is a great blend between Nola style food and contemporary American. Whether you're craving short steak, jambalya, oysters or lobster gnocchi - there is a dish to suit your culinary appetite.
If you're looking for a fun treat and care to imbibe, order a sazerac and marvel at the blue absinthe flames as they prepare it table side for you.
The staff is great and very attentive. Great ambiance with fun jazz and soul inspired art adorning the walls.

Fresh oysters were very fresh and tasty. Husband had the scallops and prawns which were delicious. The lobster ravioli was good however the lobster pieces were quite small. My wife's prime rib was quite good, average presentation. The wine list is first rate.
But the NY steak I had was tough as shoe leather, and although I was very hungry, just couldn't finish it. To their credit, the restaurant eliminated the charge and comped us with a nice dessert. Manager chose not to visit us; this is a serious mistake. Even though the wait staff was efficient, apologetic and courteous, I felt that management should have spoken with us, even if only for a few seconds.
