  • "We recently went to king crab to take my in laws for their anniversary dinner. It was the first time for both of us and it impressed us both. I was very happy that they did something special for my in laws aswell. We know it's a good restaurant when as soon as were done we were planning our next visit! I had the pistachio crusted salmon which was awesome and the portion was not skimpy."

  • "We ordered the warm crab dip and it was delicious. I would order it again. For my main I ordered the Pistachio crusted salmon with sweet potatoes and vegetable and chutney. It was so good. Everything was cooked to perfection. After thinking that I couldn't eat another thing my friend and I decided to share the phylo pastry cheese cake with fruit compote. It was awesome. I definitely will be returning and brining my husband this time. :)"

  • "Went for dinner at King Crab recently as they had a special on Groupon. The shrimp appetizer cocktail could have had more shrimp in it (the appetizer at the Keg has more and larger shrimp). The seafood jambalya was excellent. If you don't like spicy food, I would not order it, but if spicy is your thing it was very good. My date had the lamb shank. The lamb could have used more marinating or flavouring, but overall it was good and a very large portion. King Crab isn't a very large restaurant, but it makes up for their lack of space with great service and food."

  • "I am always disappointed when I see a review that complains about the price of the food / drinks and say they could get better value at Red Lobster. The fact is the best value is likley going to the fish market and going home and cooking it with a proven recipe. The point of dining out is only partly related to the food price/value. I had oysters with a perfectly made vodka martini (large fresh olives) with a main course of lobster alfredo. Enjoyed a nice French wine with dinner and finished it off with excellent chocolate dessert. The meal was very good. I paid the premium for the excellent service, very cool atmosphere and lighting and overall sensation that I was NOT at the Red Lobster. That is whay I wanted, and paid for."

My husband had the sea bass and it was about 4 0z max served under a small clump of veggies; no potato, rice for $ 26.00 I had the fish of the day which was nice; green beans not cooked, same price. My daughter had the lobster alfredo- one small tail- $ 30.00!! Definitely not worth the price; better off going to upscale restaurant and have a memorable meal. Wont be going back."

  • "The only reason I rated it two for Ambience is because they have tiny little tables for two and you feel like you're sitting in the middle of the restaurant. We had dined there before with a group of 6 and enjoyed that more. However, i would highly recommend the flavour of their food."

  • "We booked online and arrived to a warm welcome. Service was efficient although very fast. We had appetizers, entrees, desert and coffee in exactly 1 hour. We hoped to stretch it out over 2 hours at least. I will know next time. Food was excellent. 2 appetizers: Escargot Tower and Calamari Flower........both wonderful and very fresh. Calamari melted in your mouth. My wife had the prosciutto wrapped monk fish which she really enjoyed and I had the pistachio encrusted salmon which was very nice and full of flavor. We shared a half litre of wine along with a shared parfait desert which was delicious. Total bill was $121 plus tip..........We will definitely come back."

  • "The manager told us as we were seated we had a time limit and kept pushing us between courses, we were not told of this at the time of booking our reservation. Our appetizers which were the coconut shrimp and caesar salad were not at all up to the standards expected for the prices charged as a matter of fact I couldn't even finish the caesar salad due to the excessive and overpowering lemon juice which was mixed in by the chef and the shrimps were extremely small for the price charged. Our main dish was served luke warm and had to go back to be reheated as it was clearly sitting too long as they were rushing plates ahead to keep the customers moving. We had no time for dessert..what a huge let down for our Valentine Dinner out!"

  • "We enjoyed out meal here. For 3 of us with a 20 dollar coupon was 150 with tip. A bit pricey but I did enjoy the meal for the most part. I did feel that the steak could have used more seasoning. My lobster seemed a tad under cooked in part if it. We figured We'll give it another go but not anytime soon as I've definitely had better meals for the money. Service was pretty good. A little slow at the beginning but got better."

  • "We have been to KCOBG a number of times for dinner and lunch. It's consistently a great place to eat. Nice seafood - the raw oysters are always good, to steaks, pasta and salads. I had the jambalaya which is my favourite menu item there. Good service, reasonable prices for an upscale place. Why did I rate only very good instead of outstanding? I never rate anything outstanding, I'm still waiting for that one amazing place!"

  • "Wife and I were in the mood for seafood and when doing a search in the K/W area this location was at the top of the list. No expectation beyond knowing people enjoyed their meals here. While there we had the crab cake and fresh oyster appetizers, pickerel and sea bass for mains, then coffee and bread pudding for dessert. Seafood tasted fresh and our mains were perfectly cooked. Just the right amount of food and seasonings. The dessert was a great way to wrap up. Regarding the ambiance of the restaurant, it was a very relaxed feel and noise was never an issue (never had to raise voices to talk to each other). Servers were also very attentive but not so much that you get bothered by their presence. No question, I will be back!"

  • "We celebrated a special occasion with 3 generations. The pan seared rainbow trout was cooked perfectly and arguably the best dish that was on our table - I sampled my both my daughters king crab (cooked very well) and wife's lobster pasta. The pasta sauce was really rich, creamy and seasoned well, the lobster was slightly over cooked, but overall it was a nice dish. My father indicated that the steak and half lobster were both cooked to perfection. Fresh oysters are always a nice way to start a seafood meal, although they're fairly pricey."

Price was moderate to a bit high, but I wouldn't really come here on a weekly/monthly basis.   • "After many years of enjoying delicious meals at this one of Brian's restaurants I was very disappointed with my fish with ratatouille. I suppose that the ratatouille was well prepared but I did not enjoy mine at all. The fish fillets, pickerel I believe, were very thin and small with very little meat. I ended up eating the skin as well in order to get any meat at all. By contrast my wife enjoyed her stuffed chicken meal to the fullest quite to my consternation. As I have mentioned this is the first meal at King Crab that has not been fully enjoyed so I suppose that is not too bad. John Anderson"
