Kincaid's - St. Paul
Never disappointing! The food is always exceptional at Kincaids. We go every year for our anniversary and they treat us like royalty!6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was great. AtmosphereFood was great. Atmosphere was great. Wait staff took into account the play we were going to see. We felt pampered6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMA surpriseWe had a reservation and thought we would have to be inside but we were wonderfully surprised to be able to eat outside , watch the bike race and still have an elegant dinner!!6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMJust a great restaurantYou can't go wrong with dining here. I really loved the (now) nostalgic iceberg lettuce wedge served with real flair. The French onion soup had enough cheese to make it a meal, and it was delicious. The pork tenderloin entree was excellent and nicely presented. We would definitely return.6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently GoodWe are season ticket holders for the St Paul Chamber Orchestra and Kincaid's is our go to restaurant. The food is always excellent and the ambiance is beautiful. Service was okay this time, the waitress was a tad intrusive.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMA night to rememberThis was a nothing special night turned into a night to remember. The staff at the St. Paul location are second to none!
The food is a feast for the eyes and the taste buds. My wife had the salmon which she said was like butter. I had the swordfish which came with an avacado panna cotta that was unbelievable. As always their Maytag Bule Cheese salad and the Burnt Cream were perfect. We will be back soon!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful food and serviceWe had a great (if spendy!) meal, with wonderful service. Love their fresh fish...in fact we go to Kincaids every year for Copper River Salmon when it is in season.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Food, Service Just OKWe went for the Copper River Salmon which was delicious. 3 things that made the evening less than perfect: The bar stocks only one indifferent brand of NA beer, the signature key lime pie was gone by the time we considered dessert, and the young waiter was patronizing to four senior guests (who all happened to be highly-educated professionals).6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGraduation DinnerWe went to Kincaids to celebrate a graduation. They were very accommodating and the food was outstanding.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellentThis was the perfect rest. for an anniversary. Food, service and atmosphere was amazaing. I look forward to going back again.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMTerrific for a serious dinnerYou start with a scotch or similar serious drink. Steaks are prominent on the menu, but there's a good, wide range of choices. The ambience is business-like--great for a good business dinner--but well-priced and enjoyable even without an expense account. The front of the house was excellent--sensing immediately that my mother needed help getting seated. Service is good--probably not the best this particular holiday evening--but it was a holiday! The wine list is well-chosen; we had a good zinfandel with dinner. Tables are very well-spaced--you can have a serious conversation or a silly one, and you have plenty of privacy. I'd recommend this for a special occasion. You'll get very good, classic American food and enjoy every minute.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMromanticThe ambience was wonderful. We went for our anniversary, and it was perfect. Food was very good. Its a bit pricey, but for a special occasion... worth it.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMMom loved itI took my 87 yr old mom here for Mothers Day. She kept exclaiming that she felt like a queen being in a place so fancy. Thanks, Kincaids, for really showing mom a fabulous time.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGood Mother's Day outing! They only do brunch 2 times per year and their offering is very nice but a bit limited. Great food always - no matter what you get.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMothers DayI brought my mother and grandmother here for diner and it was a great place. My mother and grandmother had a great time. my grandmother does not get out much so this was a very special thing for her. We will be back in the near future to use the gift cards that they received for Mothers Day.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFood good, wine $$$$Although the food and service were fine, I resent paying 4x -5x a wine bottle's store price. Mark West Pinot Noir is $9 in Haskell's, marked up to $38. Seghesio Zinfandel marked up from $20 to $80. REALLY??5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstandingWonderful Mothers' Day dinner. Prime rib was delightful; seafood dishes were well-prepared. Service was attentive and prompt.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMKincaidsFood was good as well a the service. Found a piece of undisolved sugar (looked and felt like glass) was told be manager that it was undisolved crystaline sugar in the Hot Fudge sauce for chololate cake desert. which sounded logical. We have eaten at this restaurant several times prior as it is convenient to 2 theaters that we frequent. We usually have good experiences5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMTop of the listAfter living in the Twin Cities for 35 years and dinning at a lot of places this is still our "go to" place. Love it.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe attended Kincaid's forWe attended Kincaid's for dinner as a special treat away from our young children. We enjoyed the wide variety of specialty cocktails and wine list. Our meals were the perfect size. With a soup or salad and our main course, we were both satisfied, but did not have leftovers or feel stuffed. Most people were dressed up Saturday evening and it ranged from business casual to some formal attire.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAbove & Beyond Servicei've been to Kincaid's numerous times, a few times for dinner, but I take advantage of their great happy hour often. I've responded to review ratings in the past, but wanted to respond to this one because of the great experience that I had on Sat eve. The food here is always so delicious and the drinks are unique and tasty. What made this dinner so impressionable was the service by our waiter, Renee. She was working that night and had lost her voice. That however, didn't stop her from providing exceptional service. I had mentioned that it was my birth MONTH earlier in the evening and because I celebrate the full month, we were enjoying a nice dinner. She surprised me at the end with creme brulee and a candle- surprised me and made my pm.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a fantastic meal asWe had a fantastic meal as we had the add-on lobster tail with our prime rib. It tasted great. Our server was Jim and this was our second time having him serve us. He is an excellent server, knows how to time the food very well and has a great personality. We will usually ask for him from now on.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat serviceAll food was excellent. Would consider a traditional cooking of the New York Strip
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Comped two desserts for a birthday and retirement. Excellent touch - this type of thoughtfulness will bring us back
Bill Kostner5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMPleasant atmospherePleasant atmosphere and great service by the wait staff! My wife's chair was also not in the best condition4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMHad an amazing dinner. LovedHad an amazing dinner. Loved the mixed greens salad that had some sort of cream cheese type spring rolls - yum! Chicken Dijon was one of the best main courses I've ever ordered anywhere. I want to go back right now!4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMAs always we had a wonderfulAs always we had a wonderful evening at Kincaids. Our food was excellent and we were served by Jim for the first time. He was very attentive, did a wonderful job knowing just when to bring out our courses. We were not rushed and the evening was great. We were going to the Ordway and Jim did an excellent job of getting us through our dessert with time to spare.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Spot in Downtown St. PaulAll four of us had great meals on a busy Saturday night. Service was great, even though the place was packed. We'll definitely be back.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMKincaids was great - and ourKincaids was great - and our server was especially helpful about gluten free options!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went before a Wild gameWe went before a Wild game and sat in the bar area. The app menu was perfect for sharing and filling up before the game. We brought our four year old twins with us and had a great time. The atmosphere was not too loud, but loud enough that we didn't feel our kids were out of place or disrupting anyone else and their experience. The staff was very welcoming of them as well which made our experience even more enjoyable.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMI miss the small plates thatI miss the small plates that used to be offered on Kincaid's menu. A 7 oz filet is too much for me - a woman wanting a nice steak option. I dine at Kincaid's before the opera, so do not want to haul a doggie bag in my purse with left overs. It would be most helpful to bring back some smaller dining options.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMI was at the Double Tree inI was at the Double Tree in St. Paul for a week and went to Kincaid's three times for dinner. The food was great, but it's the kind of food I like and by the end of my stay I was practically on a first name basis with the staff4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMAs usual, very good food andAs usual, very good food and a great place to celebrate a special occasion with friends.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWe forgot our opera ticketsWe forgot our opera tickets and ended up getting to the restaurant a half hour late for our reservations. They were so good accommodating us and bringing our food quickly even though the place was full. We even had time for dessert!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMKincaid's is simply a niceKincaid's is simply a nice place with excellent food and service.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMCan't Miss! Fantastic food, great ambiance, courteous and helpful staff. A treat to go here!4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWe go to Kincaid's severalWe go to Kincaid's several times a year and its always consistent. The oysters are always good. This is a restaurant that's not too loud so you can easily converse with your guests.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMLike that it serves 3 oz glassesLike that it serves 3 oz glasses of wine as well as the traditional,6 oz glass.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Date NightMy husband and I both had steak - he the prime rib and I the sirlion - they were both exquisite. We did not have to wait on our food long at all. We love the ambiance and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you're getting. The service was very prompt and attentive. Excellent!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMNot our first time at theNot our first time at the restaurant, but our first for brunch. It was just a great experience as usual! We had the same waitress that we had previously had with a big group of people. She was great then and great again on this occasion! Class act restaurant, will return again in the future!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMEaster Brunch was excellent.Easter Brunch was excellent. We have never been disappointed with Kincaid's!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMSolid menu, always have someSolid menu, always have some fresh seafood options, creative specials this time as usual. Good ambiance and friendly, professional service. Love the bar too -- great for a post-Wild game cocktail while letting some of the traffic clear. Recommended.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMI was entertaining businessI was entertaining business clients from out of town and they were vry impressed with the food & service. Our waiter, Jim, was excellent. They never disappoint!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMKincaid's has been a favoriteKincaid's has been a favorite of ours and our recent evening there confirmed and maintained that fact. We don't get there often as it can get a little expensive, but for special dinners Kincaid's beats some of the other higher priced restaurants we have tried. I love a pomegranate martini there. We always start with the French Onion Soup...it is among the best, if not THE best, we've had anywhere. Everything in our meal was prepared and presented well. Most important the food tasted wonderful. The hard part is choosing what to have, but you can't go wrong with their filet...it almost melts in your mouth.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
