  • "Business brought us downtown St Paul. We have enjoyed Kinkaid's in Bloomington before. Service: Excellent. Fresh halibut served the way we like it and filet steak was excellent with the vegetables prepared right. Quiet table for two with nice view of the park. Only negative was coffee was luke warm. Would definitely go back."

  • "We ate at Kincaid's during restaurant week, as it was one of the only options in St. Paul. The food was prepared very well - the three of us all chose different entrees. The restaurant clearly wasn't ready for restaurant week, as they were out of the vegetable that was supposed to accompany 2 of the entrees. They were also out of one of the 2 desserts that were on the menu. (It was not a busy night...) If you're looking for a good, safe meal, I would recommend Kincaid's."

  • "Six months ago I went to the Bloomington Kincaid's with my girlfriend with much success. The atmosphere was business-y, but the atmosphere was quieter and the brook help to take us away from the world for a night. The Kincaid's in St. Paul reminds me of a Mccormick and Schmick's in a Murray's with the same feeling of romanticism that I get from a Red Lobster. The Wild and Orchestra were going on, so the restaurant was mostly empty upon arrival, but we were sat in a row of booths with the only two other groups. The service was decent, my girlfriend is allergic to fresh garlic, so he had the staff make her both au gratin and mashed just in case. It was very nice. Running out of space, food decent but not on right. Back to Bloomington."

  • "Although a wonderful place for dinner with friends or a romantic evening, this is a great business lunch place. The food is always very flavorful and not your run of the mill boring lunch menu. Crab cakes are perfect and just the right portion to have room for St. Paul's best burnt cream. Service is excellent without hovering."

  • "I had a 5:15 reservation so it was quite yet beginning to pick up. I had the petit cut prime rib and it was juicy and cooked to perfection. Paired with a nice red that went down easy. The server was efficient yet unobtrusive. A great place to invite a special someone."

  • "As usual we had a great evening at Kincaids. Our server, Laurie Sealy (spelling) is excellent. She knows our drink order upon seeing us and is very attentive and efficient. She also knows how to serve us to get us out on time for the Ordway show. One thing we would like to see back at Kincaids is the availability of "small plates". As seniors, our appetite is smaller than it used to be and we do end up taking food home. We did appreciate the "small plates" offered a few years back."

  • "We had just eaten ay Kincaid's in Bloomington the week before. I ordered the same meal as I was so impressed with it! My filet was ok. The lobster was grilled too long.. The salad was just ok. Back to Bloomington!"

  • "With tickets to Porgy and Bess, we decided to eat at Kinkaid's. We had not been there in more than a year. As always, it was a very good dining experience. Our server (Bjorn) was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and very friendly in a comfortable way. My wife had ravioli and short ribs. Great taste and very filling. I had T-bone. It was pricey ($46), but large in size. It was good, but not great. I had ordered it medium rare, and has I got closer to the bone, it was so rare, it was hard to chew. I have had this problem before at Kinkaid's. It had a good flavor, but should have been done a little more. We had banana's flambeau for dessert, and it was fabulous. The coffee was strong and flavorable. Overall, it was a very good meal."

  • "We were going to go to Kincaid's for dinner, but arrived early, and were given the happy hour menu. The Coconut Prawns and Grilled Teriyaki Tenderloins were excellent, even more so at happy hour prices!"

  • "We have been coming for many years, special occasions And otherwise. This visit was very disappointing. The crab dip was "fishy tasting" and the bread was different My wife and I ordered different dishes and in essence got the same dish with different meat on top. My "herb stuffed" chicken was tasteless and her shot ribs were bland. My sister in law's scallops were tough. Doubt very much that we'll return Dennis Callahan"

  • "We went to Kinkaid's because we couldn't get a reservation elsewhere in the neighborhood. It is just so pedestrian! Mediocre food, with no imagination. My husband's salmon was dry with some canned cherries on top. My prime rib was ok, but the vegetables were awful -- overcooked and bland. Service was ok but not especially polished. We had to ask for bread and then, separately, ask for butter. When it came, it was flavored. If you are going to do that, also serve "regular" butter. When we left, there was no one at the desk to ask for my coat. We found the coat room ourselves and the attendant."

  • "We had original made reservations for the dining room at 5 PM. We got there about 4:30 Pm so we decided to relax in the bar. Order a wine and beer from our waitress (Emma). Where enjoying the bar scene and decided to eat in there rather the dining room. A booth open up by the windows, we asked Emma if could move over there, No Problem. We order to more drinks our food and just relaxed. Food was great, Service was super. we used our $20 credit that was put on our card, thanks for that. We will be back."

  • "I enjoyed my meal, but my husband found his asparagus undercooked and his mahi mahi to be bland. Also, the waiter did not bring the bread he promised."

  • "I really hate leaving poor feedback, but I need to. I went to Kincaid's about 5 years ago and thought the dining experence was ok, that's it - ok. somebody said try it again and I did 3/22 after a Wild game - 4 of us. Same experence except this time it hit my booket book nerve. Ordered a Filet Medium, came pink at best, ordered a Kincaid PR, should have been a petite and a couple of pasta dishes. Smashed potatoes dry and veg medley terrible. Salads were good. all of us had water, no pop or drinks. Bill was 179.00 without a tip. Waiter was good and I did not complain which I wish I would have, but didn't want to make a scene. Not a Capital Grill, Manny's or Burch. Kind of a nice apple bees in m eye, but fricking expensive."

  • "Kincaid's always serves great food in a nice setting looking out on Rice Park, in walking distance to the Ordway and Xcel Energy Center. Nice bar for a warm-up cocktail prior to being seated. Was disappointed to hear they were already out of their prime rib by our 7:00pm reservation, but plenty of other great substitutes."

  • "Parked using 5th street entrance to Lawson Commons, came out on 6th street side; short walk to Kincaids. Greetings were very friendly; we were early; however, still seated right away. Our waiter was very friendly - but not pushy. He answered our questions about wine/dinner and was somehow very attentive without being intrusive. My wife ordered the Lobster Tail and I the petite filet (medium). My steak was perfectly done; my wife enjoyed the lobster tail. We did order an appetizer and then dessert and coffee following (very glad we did!). Yes, it is expensive; but the food and the service were excellent, and the evening was well spent!."

  • "Kincaid's was my first choice for celebrating my 65th birthday, and it didn't disappoint. All four of us savored our meals. We ordered salmon, rib-eye and chicken, and all dishes were full of flavor and well-presented. Our wine was delicious. I loved the chocolate mousse, but my partner found it a bit too sweet. Other than that, it was a perfect evening. We will be back."

  • "Kincaid's lived up to it's reputation in every way! The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and everyone in my group said it was the best meal they had in a long time. We will be returning when we are in the twin cities!"

  • "I always enjoy Kincaid's for a business lunch. The staff get right on seating you, taking orders, getting the beverages and food right out so you can have a productive meeting over lunch. The food is consistently good and the service very friendly."

  • "Kincaids remains one of our favorite St. Paul dining choices because the food always tastes wonderful and is nicely presented, and the service is impeccable."

  • "Tonight's dinner was amazingly delicious. Our meal began with the warm brie, which is a wonderful way to begin a meal. We then ordered the ribeye steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus and the pork osso buco with mashed potatoes, vegetable medley, and apple chutney. Both were delicious to the point of causing a momentary silence as we absorbed the well-developed flavors of our meal. My husband's steak was a perfect medium rare, which he prefers (I couldn't be paid to eat steak this way). My osso buco was so tender that I barely used my knife. What also made the meal wonderful is the impeccable service we received. Our server was attentive and quick to respond to questions or needs that arose during the meal."

  • "More of a fine dining restaurant but well worth the price. The food is always amazing and the service exceptional. If you are looking for lunch you call find a reasonably priced meal that will out class most other establishments. Kinkaid’s is always a joy to experience not matter the occasion."

  • "Fun restaurant...atmosphere & decor, but I would prefer some items on the menu that would lend themselves to healthier eating...cut down on the sauces ...and cut down on portions sizes and PRICES!"

  • "I reserved a table by the window which offered a beautiful view of Landmark Center. The atmosphere at Kincaids offers a feeling of elegant private dining. Our server Sally K could not have been more personable. The Ahi Wasabi Tuna was the best I have ever tasted! The Chocolate Indulgence desert with real vanilla ice cream was melt in our mouth delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant!"

  • "We come every year for Happy Hour during the high school hockey tourney. We used to come for dinner but we always left so full because the portions were so rich and delicious! Now we've come to enjoy the same bartender and the great happy hour specials in between great hockey games."

  • "Friends and I dined at Kincaid's / St. Paul during mid-week on a frigid winter night. Naturally the restaurant had some guests but was not filled by any means. We wanted to "eat lite" so ordered some soups ( including the French Onion) and entree salads. There were 4 of us. We agreed the food was just "ok" and same with the service. It seemed our waiter was so busy bustling about, that he did not provide the service we have come to expect at Kincaid's. The food took a LONG time to arrive, yet the restaurant was not at all busy. I It seems he was more intent on setting tables for the next day's service. We were disappointed."

  • "Kincaid's located in downtown Saint Paul, MN. The ambiance was nice and the service was excellent. My wife truly loved it. I ordered the seared Canadian Salmon and She ordered the Prime Rib (The middle price point). When food arrived she received a well portioned and perfectly prepared prime rib. My meal however was overcooked and very small. I finished my meal as she was about half way through hers and found myself having to make conversation while I watched her eat. Very awkward."

  • "We visited Kincaid's for during St. Paul's Restaurant Week event. We were seated in a quiet alcove, greeted warmly, and received very good service. The menu selections were first rate, and the preparations and servings very good. We enjoyed a leisurely and satisfying meals. I would highly recommend finishing your meal with either the creme brulee or the flourless chocolate cake, both of which were excellent."
