"I had always heard very good things, so was anxious for my first try. The bread was supposed to be wonderful (at other restaurants they just bring it to the table) and I was looking forward to trying it as i love breads. After our food came, I asked the waiter if we were supposed to get bread and his response was "oh, yeah" and he went and got it. Hmmmmmm. Also, we ordered off the smaller portion menu and he noted that we needed to order potatoes as they didn't come with the meat. Great for my friend who had prime rib, but they did come with my steak, so my choice would have been a different side. My small potatoes were a little over cooked, as were the au gratins that we shared. But my steak was very good. Not sure if I'll be back."

"In the past, I've enjoyed very good food and service but this time I was not impressed. The iceberg lettuce salad was refreshing and the warm bread was up to Kincaids standards. However, my Braised Boneless Chuck Short Ribs with roasted wild mushrooms, silky Yukon potatoes, herb gremolata, and natural jus tasted like beef pot roast I can make at home. My dinner companion ordered the Rock Salt Roasted Prime Rib and it was nearly half fat. The service was friendly, wines were affordable. On mentioning the fatty prime rib, the host offered to replace it but due to the timing of his offer, we opted for his alternate offer of dessert. I hope that my next visit to Kincaids is more in line with what I've come to expect."

"One of the best meals we have had IN ST PAUL! Exceptional fish this evening, (we tried 6 different kinds on the menu). Appreciated the waitstaff and early dinner getting us to the SPCO on time and unrushed. All that and amazing food. AND we enjoyed the experience because 6 of us sat in one of their BACK booths which close off from the rest of the restaurant so it was much quieter. Brilliant, esp for those of us with hearing problems. I wish I had known about it earlier this year."
