We stay overnight in town and have a nice dinner nearby when we go to a DBacks game. A couple years ago we tried Kincaid's, and found it wonderful. This time we brought friends, and the experience was the same. Great prime rib with delicious au jus, excellent scallops, cajun fish of the day, warmed herb bread, great martinis, decent enough wine selection. Service was excellent. Since the evening was lovely and warm, we asked to eat out on the patio. They happily arranged this, even though we were the only party doing so. Still can't believe people preferring a noisier, freezing cold room to a balmy, quiet evening outdoors. We will go back. Kincaid's is close to Chase Field, so right there by the Hyatt, Renaissance, etc.

Perhaps we were there on a bad night. The atmosphere was very nice, but we were 1 of only 3 small groups in the place that evening, which may have been an omen. At 7 PM they were out of their daily special, and two of us found that the menu description did not really match the meals we were served. My pork was tasty but dry, the other meals were better, but not good enough to justify the price.

Had the seared salmon, excellently prepared, served on bed of "southwest caviar" which is and assortment of beans and corn - very tasty. Atmosphere is quiet, great for special occasion or business. Started with the gazpacho, and was some of the best I have ever had.

Best shrimp cocktail I've ever eaten! The Seafood Louie was good, but could have been superb with a better grade of crab and a much better salad dressing! It was still delicious despite. The dessert, chocolate cake and ice cream, was to die for!! But I'd have to say, the best part of our first-time visit to your restaurant was our waiter; a height-challenged fellow who was warm and friendly, but very professional. I really enjoyed my visit. I plan to come again, thank you!

My spouse and I chose to visit Kincaid's to celebrate our 33rd Wedding Anniversary. Lila, our server, was amazing, friendly, prompt and extremely knowledgeable. I enjoyed a prime rib and salmon combo plate with scalloped potatoes and grilled asparagus. The prime rib was excellent and perfectly done as was the asparagus. The salmon was just the correct side of done for me, almost rare. The scalloped potatoes were SO rich and delicious. The thin slices of potatoes layered with cheese reminded me of baklava. I also found the drinks from the bar to be very delicious.

I first experienced Kincaid's in St. Paul, MN and was excited to see that there was also a restaurant in Phoenix, AZ. I took my husband to the restaurant for the first time and when we left, he said "we need to come back her and bring friends." The food was cooked perfectly and the service felt very personal. Thank you for this lovely experience.

Kincaids was a little overrated. It was clear it was busy due to the event at US Airways. It appears they have lost their creativity. Items tasty but not great and not very creative. Would love to have them reinvent themselves a little since they have such a great location. Their signature cocktails need creativity too. Most restaurants these days offer creative and natural signature cocktails with organic ingredients or fresh juices.

We dined here two weeks before and had a negative experience. This evening more than erased that impression. The food was delicious and the service was timely and friendly even though the restaurant was packed with event-goers on a time schedule. We were a table of four with each ordering a different fish entrée and each of us raved about our meal. Great fish in the middle of Arizona!

We dined there before going to the symphony. There was a lot going on downtown that evening and couldn't afford to be late for the symphony. We were glad we made reservations at Kincaids. The soup was delicious and the Seafood Louie delivered great flavors. Our server was very gracious and aware of our need to be on time. I would recommend this place and gladly return.

We had very poor service: drinks were slow in arriving and the waiter forgot the appetizer. Even though we told h that we had a time limit for dinner, our table was not served the main entrees until five minutes before our scheduled departure for the show. Food was fine, not great, but nothing is enjoyable on the run. It seemed the restaurant was very short-staffed.

We came on the night of a major concert at Us Airways Arena, and we were excited to try Kincaid's. We got a drinks at the bar from a very friendly and efficient bartender. That was the highlight of the evening at Kincaid's. When we were seated and our server came over, he seemed nice enough. We ordered another round of drinks and our food. Then we waited and waited and waited. Our server came over once to let us know that our food was coming right out. One hour later it came out. And it wasn't right. My husband was disappointed to order and pay for a steak with mushrooms, and it cames out with no mushrooms and bleu cheese instead. I got a Seafood Louie dish, also a little off from what I ordered. No time left for dessert.

We never got our food order. There was a concert and the restaurant was not ready for the numbers of people, but they take reservations? Our waiter told us three times that our food was coming very soon, 30 minutes later we had to leave. The manager did make it right, our drinks where free and he gave us a gift card for future use.

    Dined on 5/31/2014
Our reservation was for our anniversary and when we got there, not many people were there, but they sat us in the middle of the room. When I asked for a booth, the hostess seemed miffed that we asked for another table. When she returned and asked us if a half booth/half table would be okay at the window, we accepted. The table had been set with 4 place settings, so she removed 2 of them. Everything on the table was covered in dust! So badly we could actually write in it!! I couldn't believe such a nice restaurant (we paid over $150 for our awesome meal) was so dirty and that our waiter had to clean our table and bring us clean utensils. To me, this was unacceptable. That much dust on a table had to accumulate for at least a month.

We went to Kincaid's before the Symphony on Saturday night and had allowed 1.5 hours for dinner. Needless to say, we were rushed to finish our meal, pay the bill, and walk the short walk to Symphony hall. The food itself was good but the service was incredibly slow; especially when the restaurant was nearly empty. Next time we will allow 2 hours for dinner....even though we only ordered appetizers and a salads. Also note, while Kincaid's is advertized as an American restaurant, it is really a steak house....so, if you happen to be vegetarian or have vegetarian friends, be prepared to have a light meal.

We visited Kincaids during restaurant week- our first time to the restaurant. The service was outstanding, not pretentious, but friendly and formal and perfectly attentive. The menu is full of great choices, but we went with the special; blackened salmon and prime rib. I don't order prime rib ever, but after tasting my husbands I will return and order it for myself. Absolutely perfect. Kincaids just gets everything right. I can't wait to return.

My Manhattan was just ok, my glass of Pinot Noir was not quite ok. The Macadamia nut encrusted brie totally obscures the taste of the brie. Ty prime rib was tough and had some gristle, and a portion of it tasted incredibly salty. The waiter Johnny was very amiable, but he forgot my water refill request, as well as the bread pudding desert I ordered.

Some of us are retired, some are semiretired and some are still working full time. But we are all past coworkers and still enjoy each other's company. Often we meet for lunch and visit. Some of us use hearing aids. Other restaurants were always noisy and crowded. My son recommended Kincaid's. On our fist visit the background music was too loud. Upon our request the music was turned down. When making the next reservation a quiet table was requested. We did not want to compete with the background music and other patrons. As I recall, that the background music wasn't even on for our 2nd visit and we were able to visit without having to raise our voices. We had a wonderful visit. The food and service was excellent. Thank you Kincaid Restaurant.

The food was not what we ordered. The sampler we ordered first, which we had ordered several times previously was about 1/4th of what it usually was. When we asked if we could get the eggs done differently, we were told no, that they came prepackaged the way they were on the menu. The appetizer took about 35 minutes to get to the table and two of the six orders were the wrong food. Never going there again.

Decided to have Easter Brunch at this restaurant which does not normally open for brunch. A make shift crew was called upon to serve and it showed. The kitchen was not familiar with the menu and the wait staff was unable to handle larger parties so service was slow and food had to be sent back before the kitchen prepared the right items. The waiter did his best and apologized over and over for the delays from the kitchen. Will not chose to return for brunch.

Have been to this restaurant approximately 5 times and this night was very different. The restaurant was basically empty and one of the speakers were out so there was no music at all making the atmospher quite boring and way too quiet. Our server was terrific and the food was good but not as good as we have had previously .... too much salt. We would go back and are going to chalk this up as an off night.

One of us opted for the scallops and lamb chops which were enjoyed.
