Because of our anniversaries, we were also treated to two crème brulees with a curly candle in each for dessert. Our waiter was very accommodating and we sat by a window looking out . . . at it snow. :>( Oh, well. Kincaid's can't control the weather."

  • "I took two clients to lunch, and they were very excited to learn I was taking them to Kincaid's. The restaurant is very pretty with lots of light. Our service was not as punctual as in previous visits- We were seated on time, but it took a while for our server to arrive at our table to highlight the specials, and later to take our order. Two or our three orders were not prepared correctly, which our server did not notice/check. My beverage order was forgotten, until I reminded the server. The food was very good. Unfortunately, we did not have room for dessert - something I have always found Kincaid's to excel at preparing. I will return, but would hesitate about having the same server."

  • "Kincaid's has LONG been a favorite but based on this VERY dsappointing experience no more. We frequented the Bloomington location to celebrate my wife's birthday. It started poorly with our written Open Table request for side-b-side seating ignored despite the restaurant being less than a third full and four tops being abundant. Our server, Jay, was terrific. Working hard to please, prompt and courteous despite the challenges of the team around him. We ordered the halibut special and the house scallop specialty. Both, simply put, could easily have been outdone by my modest home culinary skills and we would have saved $85. Kincaid's, its been nice, but we're done. The competition has swept by you and you just don't seem to care."

  • "Have visited the Kincaids in St. Paul numerous times and always had a great experience. First time at Kincaids Bloomington and it will be the last! Service was poorly timed and rushed. Entrees came out as bread was being delivered. We were back in the car 50 minutes after we arrived (and we were not quick to place our order!). Entrees (walleye and halibut) were fairly tasteless and appeared as though they were microwaved. Potatoes (smashed and roasted) tasted like they had been sitting in warmers at a buffet all night. But, hey, at least the asparagus were crisp. Not what I expect from a $100 meal!!! At least the evening ended on a good note...when we went elsewhere for dessert!"

  • "Kincaids has been our favorite restaurant since it opened in Bloomington. we have always had a perfect time (food ambiance etc.) However, we dined with you on St. Patricks Day....corned beef and cabbage....one of the worst meals we have ever had! Beef was one bite okay, next so tough we could hardly chew it! The cabbage bore no resemblance to cabbage! Really? Obviously it was the end of the servings and never should have been offered. We did have a lovely glass of wine, your blu-cheese salad (my favorite). Followed by chocolate mousse.....service was fine. We, of course will be back....just very disappointed and very surprised at that meal!!! Thought you should know."

  • "We went to Kincaids for the date night offer which is a great deal. Wine (choice of red or white), salad or soup, choice of entree (fish, chicken, prime rib, pasta) and choice of Key Lime pie or Burnt Creme. The service was awesome. Our food was a bit disappointing for Kincaids usual standard. The mixed vegetables left a lot to be desired and the Brussel Sprouts in it were inedible. The mashed potatoes paired with the prime rib seemed like they'd been sitting around for a long time. We both had the prime rib which was great."

  • "Kincaid's is a reliable restaurant, especially when you're dining with someone who has unknown food preferences. No big surprises at this restaurant, but its food and service is always reliable. The ambiance in its leafy atrium encourages quiet conversations. Fish alternatives trend toward salmon and halibut served in pleasing, but not too auspicious ways. I seldom stray from seafood at this restaurant and I dine there so frequently that I know most of the service staff by name, sit at the same table and always get the same martini prepared with Plymouth gin. With some servers, the martini is served without being ordered -- they see me coming. Kincaid's has become my second dining room."

  • "The atmosphere and food is always excellent here felt the waiter thought we had all to eat. ordered as soon as our two parties were there. The place was not that busy. the other two tables our waiter was working with came a while after we got there and got there food and their bills before we did. Seems like she paid for attention to them. In the past maybe she has not done well with tips or something from a small table and just left us alone. It was my daughters birthday she did get a free dessert but an hour and 15 minutes after we arrived. Both of us needed to get back to work so this should not have taken that long Probably wont go back there for lunch"

  • "There is not enough room allowed here to do a detailed, decent review so I won't bother (I do have a detailed review). Let`s just say my wife and I have been dining at Kincaids for years for our anniversary and were always very satisfied. This time was very different. My wife and I could not remember dining anywhere, where everything served was terrible. We should have sent everything back, but we did not want the hassle on our anniversary (our bad). The restaurant was busy but that should no be an excuse. A great restaurant fails."

  • "Been going to Kincaid's since 1986 open. Solid, if not exciting, quality food - excellent service. Wish they'd tighten up the reigns on the food, because over those decades the competition sure has. Salmon and halibut both a bit overcooked, however both had terrific flavor with excellent creative sauces. Mushy over-salted roasted potato side, but lovely roasted asparagus and riff on classic spinach salad, cooked lightly with bacon. Starter crab cakes, great flavor, wonderful creative garnish, but would be even better with more crab and less filler. Same bread as always, crispy outside, chewy inside, but same salty butter already on it -- how about some creative herb butter instead, and on the side? Server LJ was superb, a class act."

I ordered the walleye, and it was delicious. We were able to apply a free coupon to our bill, which we got for our anniversary, from Kincaid's. They always have great deals, and great food and service."

  • "View is beautiful,restaurant is typical "steak house" fee.Service was just OK & we went early so half the tables weren't filled. We had smoked salmon and carpacchio for appetizer; salmon was a "cake" type mixed &formed with other ingredients.Carpacchio was nice.Lobster bisque & French Onion Soup;both were nice flavor & presentation.We split the lg prime rib that was featured at the top of their menu; they split it for us NC which was nice. It was so tough,at first we thought it was the steak knives.we got it medium rare-cook on the meat was fine,it was really unchewable once you got it somehow mangled enough to be bite sized.Overall, I would not go back here again if the quality of the other meat was on par.Too expensive for only eating 1/2"

  • "We went to dinner with my family on Sunday night and had appetizers, drinks, and some dinner. The beef tenderloin tips and mini sliders were great. I had walleye, and we had the apple cherry cobbler for dessert. No steaks, but the appetizers were good. I recommend this as a lunch or dinner place. The ambiance and service is always great."

  • "We celebrated my husbands birthday Sunday night with our two adult children and their dates, My husband always wants to go to Kincaid's for special occasions because he says they have the best prime rib in the cities. We decided to start with the appetizer sampler and it was excellent. In addition to my husbands Prime Rib, we ordered Salmon, two different steaks and the Herb Stuffed Chicken. Everyone was happy with their meal. Our server was friendly and funny, and although she checked back often to see if we needed anything, she did not interfere with our table conversations. My husband got the Creme Brulee and the rest of us decided to split two fabulous warm pear bread puddings. We are talking about going back for Easter. Great Food"
